I had a wonderful time with Steve. I spent almost two weeks at his place, and he gave me the most incredible culutur experience. Steve loves talking and he talk a lot every day. But his conversations were fun and insightful !! I was impressed by his tea brewing skills. Steve taught me the sprit of tea.It looks simple, but it's surprisingly difficult. I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to learn from him. Thank you so much for sharing the tea spirit with me!!! The work depends on the weather and seaso, but I felt rewarding. It was an amazing experience for me and I recommend this place for sure!!!

Volunteering with this organization has been the most beautiful and meaningful experience we could have ever had. Words can’t truly capture what you feel when you step into such an authentic world. Being Agents of Change with this little NGO is an incredible opportunity—it means becoming part of a family and contributing to the growth of a community surrounded by love and amazing people who inspire you every single day. Our experience with the organization is not just a memory, but something that helped us grow both personally and professionally. It allowed us to discover new realities, places, and people. Even aspects that might seem uncomfortable at first—like the showers, the occasional lack of electricity, or the absence of washing machines—quickly become part of daily life and actually add to what makes the experience so unique and unforgettable. We are deeply grateful to the organization for welcoming us and making us feel like part of a family. Even though it is a small and young organization, it takes giant steps in trying to help the community through its many projects. We truly appreciated the openness, warmth, and positive energy of the people who work with the organization, the possibility to choose among many projects based on your own skills and interests, the constant encouragement to contribute with new ideas—but above all, the feeling of being part of a big family.

I spent almost over a week at Marco‘s and Rebekkas. They took really good care of me; cooked me good meals and we always had lots of fun. I learned a lot about recycling and having your own shop. Their daughter Dina was really lovely and I recommend spending a workaway with them!! They really appreciate your help and it was really nice to spend my first workaway with them.

Namaste Angèle! the kids were lucky to have you spending time with 'em! We love that you appreciated the work the teachers and aunties do - they're the heartbeat of the school. Lovely to see how well you connected with the community, we love to see volunteers come in, and get involved and the memories created for the students. Discovery at Cherai beach seeing how locals braved the fast furious waves during the rainy month of July. This year 2025 saw more stronger winds, and heavier rainfall during the monsoon season. Thanks for sharing your thoughts about your stay with Aji's parents too - we're glad you felt comfortable and part of things. It could be better.

What a lovely person Izabell! I'm grateful for the beautiful week I spent with her. She is sweet, funny, reliable and hard working, always ready to help. She is a bit insecure about her abilities, but she showed me and on particular to her self that she can do everything, but really everything, also hard physical works... And also really well! For my second Workaway in Costa Rica I couldn’t have asked for a better spot in Jaco. My 4 weeks in Jaco were unforgettable. playa Jaco has the most amazing sunset views. Helping at this hotel was an amazing experience. The hotel is located within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, grocery stores and anything else you might need. This was a great experience and I’m thankful to Adriana, Ricardo and Ricardo Jr. for hosting me. I felt very welcomed I would totally consider coming back to help in the near future.

Fernando y todos que trabajan o ayudan en la fundación son grande personas. Fue una de las mejores experiencia de mi vida. el cambio cultural, el trabajo con los niños, dirigir una clase al colegio y la universidad, ayudar en la fundación de cualquier manera estaba un placer por mi. Silvia is simply amazing! Since the day she arrived and throughout her all stay, she's been super helpful, dedicated, well communicated, worked hard and always willing to learn. She takes initiatives and likes to do things right. But most importantly, she's humanly wonderful. She's very nice, funny and interesting. It was a real pleasure to share those two weeks and we miss her already. She arrived a workawayer and left as a friend. Thanks again!

My experience at Nick's countryside house was very nice. He is a great guy very open to conversations and to teach new things to the volunteers. The job was fun and always interesting. We did cider, install a DIY windmill and even learned how to cut a tree. Thank you for everything Nick!

Jonty and Tiffany volunteered on my project for ten days and were a fantastic team to have around. They were hardworking, reliable, and genuinely helpful throughout their stay. Most of their time was spent sanding and painting the house. Beyond the work itself, Jonty and Tiffany were great company. We shared many engaging conversations. They showed a real openness to learning and curiosity about culture. I would gladly recommend them for volunteer exchanges. Their positive attitude, strong work ethic, and thoughtful presence make them a pleasure to host. I’d be happy to welcome them back in the future.

I highly recommend staying at the ranch. I had a really good time there. The work was enjoyable and I often got to do all sorts of jobs. Everyone there was super welcoming and fun. There are so many interesting people who visit the ranch and so you have an opportunity to see and learn a lot. Some days are quieter than others and then I really enjoyed spending my time in the stables with the horses and other animals. I made good friends with the other volunteers and enjoyed the experience of staying together in the volunteer house. There are many dogs there including chihuahuas which are very friendly and cuddly. I definitely miss having them around me. The town is easy to get to with a cheap collective taxi. Highly recommend checking it out. Thank you everyone for everything, it was so fantastic!

Where do I even begin... I intended to stay for a month, and have been here for almost a year! This community is truly wonderful, with a heavy focus on sustainability, communal living, and generally trying to make the world a slightly better place. The people here are very kind, caring, and welcoming and have made me feel right at home. We save food, skillshare, create art, work on various projects, have workshops/ events and much more. There is always something going on! Very grateful to have found this place and to become a part of it :)

We had the pleasure of hosting Claudia for about three months. She is truly a wonderful woman—absolutely perfect in so many ways. The days we spent together were filled with comfort, peace of mind, and warmth. Our values aligned so well, and she treated us as if she were truly a member of our family. From the very first day she arrived, the children immediately loved her and were always looking for her. What was especially remarkable was her ability to anticipate the children’s behavior and prevent fights or accidents before they happened. To be able to do this from day one is extraordinary. She cared for the children just as we do—with love, by giving discipline when needed, with praise, and with hugs. She also made the effort to understand us deeply and respected our parenting philosophy, guiding the children in harmony with our values. For this, we are profoundly grateful. When it came to housework, she was equally perfect, handling daily tasks with ease and without needing to be asked. Among everything she did, there are two things I am especially thankful for: 1. Because she spent time naturally in the shared spaces, she would notice even the smallest needs or troubles and step in to help us without hesitation. 2. During her stay, she built wonderful relationships with all seven Workaway volunteers who were here. She kindly guided the newcomers, which not only eased my own responsibilities but also gave everyone in the house a sense of comfort and security. Since her stay was quite long, we were able to share many special memories together. Weekend BBQs, sightseeing in Otaru, visits to the aquarium, the Muscle Bar, grape picking, baseball games—each of these experiences became a treasured memory. I truly wish we could have had even more time together. To me, Claudia was like a wife—someone who stood beside me with care, support, and love. I am deeply grateful for everything she has given us. She is a truly irreplaceable person, and I wholeheartedly recommend her with the utmost confidence.

Zhen!!! Thanks for your comment!! Honestly, I've been too lazy here and never replied to the last three (Adam, Yukiko, Baptiste)… and their accounts had already expired... Sorry about that guys lol. Anyway, Zhen was such a calm, understanding person and truly loved by everyone here. She showed curiosity about everything we did, whether it was outdoor activities, community events or daily chores, and she always jumped in to help us. We really wish she could have stayed longer to get to know more about our people and local culture! Thank you sooo much Zhen, and please come visit us anytime!

Mounira volunteered with me for three weeks and was a tremendous help. She was excellent in every task she took on and assisted with a wide range of jobs. I also truly enjoyed her company—she was a wonderful conversationalist and brought positivity to every day. I would be very happy to recommend her for any future role or opportunity with workaway.

Clement worked with me for three weeks and proved to be an excellent support. He was hardworking, clever, and a very quick learner. He consistently showed diligence and initiative, often completing tasks independently without needing guidance. During his time here, he contributed significantly to garden work and carried it out with great effort and reliability. I would gladly recommend him for any future opportunities.

We were welcomed by Marco to his project ten days ago and are truly grateful for the cultural exchange and meaningful experience we shared. From the beginning, Marco made us feel at home, and having his sister Lisam around during our stay added an extra layer of fun and warmth to each day. One of the highlights of our time was the divine home-cooked meals we enjoyed daily — not only delicious but also a wonderful opportunity to learn new recipes and cooking techniques. Mealtimes and evenings were rich with engaging conversations, often delving into political topics and cultural insights. We especially appreciated the chance to learn more about Turkey and to connect over our shared German background. Marco is a fair and respectful host. He offers clear guidance on the work expectations while allowing volunteers the flexibility to structure their own day. This balance created a relaxed yet productive atmosphere that made the work enjoyable and gave us time to enjoy the area around us. The location Marmaris and Datça were both absolutely beautiful, and the accommodation in both locations were perfect. I would recommend this Workaway experience

It was such a pleasure to host Yuiko! She was always ready to help out with various tasks around the house and threw herself into the community life. She always worked very hard whatever she was doing. She painted a wonderful mural in one of our rooms and even extended her stay to make sure she could finish it. We're very grateful that she made our home more beautiful and for all the interesting conversations. Hope to see you again!
