I am looking to slow down, learn Spanish, and embrace another culture.

I'm Nicole! I was born in Sweden, grew up in Spain till the age of 8, lived in Arizona till 14, and then North Carolina till the age of 18. Travel has been in my blood since childhood and I continued it the moment I graduated high school. I am currently learning to flip houses alongside my dad in North Carolina, while nannying. I lived in Santa Cruz, California as a team building assistant/high ropes tour guide. In the past I worked at a summer camp as a counselor in Texas, came home and nannied, before heading back out and working on a couple islands in hawaii, as a farmer, homeschool helper, worked at a bakery, yard maintenance and helped renovate a small house for over 3 months. I was able to build skills in agriculture, self - sustainability, tools in yard work and house renovations. I moved on from there to go work as a lead cook at an adventure camp in California. With travel in-between, I headed to Colorado the next summer as an outdoors adventure guide/counselor for high school kids. I worked 9 months in New Zealand as a teachers aide, assistant cook, vineyard worker, and more. I can easily adjust and adapt to new enviroments and situations. I love learning new skills, languages, cultures, and hope to grow in any current ones. I am currently really hoping to improve and learn Spanish to go back to the fluency held as a child.

I have grown up with a dad who always has some renovation on a house happening. I would help with floor installations, insulation of walls, painting, etc. I used refurbish furniture to resell in high school as a hobby. I grew a new love for farming during my Workaway stay in Hawaii as well, where I grew new skills in identifying native plants to the island, care routine for the garden, baking with what we harvested, while keeping everything as self-sustainable as the family could. I continue to develop skills in activities that allow me to be outside like mountain biking, paddle boarding, hiking, etc. I was backpacking guide that entailed mountain biking, outdoor climbing, kayaking and more for high schoolers two summer seasons.
