Estuve 3 semanas en el proyecto de Javier y Catu; fue una experiencia muy interesante. Como ya se mencionó, Javier sabe mucho de permacultura y regeneración de suelos. Me encantó sentirme tan cerca de la naturaleza. El espacio de voluntariado es sencillo pero enriquecedor. La oportunidad de dormir a la altura de los árboles de maracuyá y papayo, escuchar el canto de los pájaros y sentirme inmerso en el ritmo natural. Las tareas varían cada día y te permiten comprender los diferentes aspectos del trabajo de armonización con la naturaleza y colaboración con ella, para vivir como parte de este todo de forma armoniosa y respetuosa. Las 3 o 4 horas de trabajo te dan tiempo suficiente para dedicarte a tus proyectos personales o simplemente disfrutar del excepcional lugar. Tengo mucho que aprender y disfruté descubriendo cómo usar ciertas herramientas, participando en la creación de un gallinero y en las tareas generales de mantenimiento del jardín, los senderos, etc. La energía es muy buena, apacible, y me resultó fácil recrear un "hogar" en este proyecto. ¡Gracias por la bienvenida y por compartir!

Servaas & Michelle is a lovely couple and we really enjoyed their stay with us. They are both hard working and honest and we also had lots of fun. They helped us with a lot of things including foresty work and gardering and they were always in a cheerful and helpful mood.

I had an excellent time volunteering at the camp. My role was to manage the campsite, check people in, clean the rooms, handle equipment rentals, and any other things that the camp required, which included a little bit of landscaping work. Levan was a great host who was easy to contact and provided great communication. He was able to coordinate food, water, and any other supplies that I needed during my stay. The camp itself is beautiful! Surrounded by mountains, lakes, and waterfalls it's a perfect place if you're looking to get away from things and just enjoy nature. I would definitely recommend for any climbers! We were able to use the climbing equipment for free when not working and go climbing, which was really nice.

John & Pam were exceptional hosts! They went above and beyond to make our 1 week stay at their special cabin comfortable and satisfactory. I would recommend this Workaway Host to anyone looking for an intentional, genuine experience with two incredible humans who take their work and play/adventure time seriously. It was inspiring to see how well they took care of their property - a true piece of Heaven on Earth! John was a great leader in introducing projects and working alongside us with positivity at the forefront. Pam joined in on the work as well and the four of us accomplished A LOT during our stay. It was energizing working alongside this well-traveled Workaway Couple and we were impressed with all of their meals. Pam is a fantastic cook and John a great baker! As conversationalists, we loved chatting about life and appreciated their genuine friendship. John & Pam encouraged us to use their wood fired hot tub and they shared so many resources and suggestions for exploring the area, which is FULL of lush nature. We enjoyed strolling down the hill for polar plunges, stoking the hot tub for a dip after dinner under the stars, picking blackberries next door, and finding magic in their nearby protected forest trail. On our days off, we had the opportunity to experience new, enriching hobbies with this couple and their friends including: foraging for berries and mushrooms, making homemade meals, strumming instruments and singing during sunset, and playing new games alongside laughter and storytelling. As dog owners and Workawayers, we take pride in how well our dogs are trained and able to adjust to any situation and supervising during work days. John & Pam not only welcomed Charlie and Jax into their home with open arms, but treated them like family! It made our hearts full to witness the love they shared for our furry companions. From inviting them off-leash on hikes, playing fetch with Charlie, and cuddling with Jax, Pam & John truly connected with our dogs and we are so grateful for their welcoming energy. Also, they had the opportunity to play and explore with a new dog friend Eddy during their stay. Overall, we are so grateful that this opportunity aligned! It was a reciprocal experience full of respect, generosity, kindness, and support. Thank you, John & Pam, for hosting us for 1 week, entrusting us in the work on your special property, and treating our unit like close friends! We are looking forward to exploring the area in the future and reconnecting.

I can recommend this Workaway. Anil is a kind and gentle person and the land is very beautiful, with huge hills in the distance, pine forest, and amazing stars at night. I stayed in a large, comfortable tent, the food was very nice and we took turns making it and doing the dishes. I got to help with fig picking and concreting the kitchen area. I could only stay two nights because of personal circumstances, but Anil was very understanding about this and gave me a lift down the mountain

We stayed with Caitlin and David for four weeks and they made us feel welcome right from the beginning. They are sociable, flexible and generous people. The work has been as described and was varied. The bikes allowed us to explore the area around Naas on our own. Thanks for making our first Workaway experience so nice!

Marc has been an incredible friend and volunteer with us, and we can’t recommend him enough to any future hosts! He is always ready to help with anything that needs to be done – practical, resourceful, and never afraid to get his hands dirty. But what makes Marc truly special is his warm heart and positive energy. He’s social, intelligent, and always in a good mood, spreading good vibes wherever he goes. On top of that, Marc is an amazing DJ who brings joy and music into every space. He loves connecting with people, making volunteers feel at home, and is truly part of our family. If you have the chance to host Marc – don’t hesitate! You’ll gain not just a helper, but also a loyal friend with a big heart.

Charlotte was an amazing worker—responsible, kind, and always proactive. She helped us with housekeeping and everything involved, going above and beyond with a positive attitude. Reliable, hardworking, and a joy to host—we highly recommend her to any future host!

Il y a des rencontres qui marquent par leur simplicité et leur authenticité et Jonas fait partie de ces personnes auprès desquelles tout semble fluide, naturel et incroyablement agréable. Son attitude bienveillante tournée vers les autres, sa facilité à vivre : jamais une contrariété, jamais un signe d'agacement, toujours cette disponibilité sincère qui donnait l'impression que rien n'était trop demandé, et on sentait une satisfaction à être utile et à contribuer au bien-être collectif. Jonas a beaucoup participé à l'entretien des espaces extérieurs, avec beaucoup d'énergie, notamment à l'entretien des prairies des chevaux tel que le débroussaillage, la réparation des clôtures et l'entretien des jardins. Les tâches qui demandent une force physique ont été accomplies sans jamais une plainte même lorsque la fatigue aurait pu se faire sentir. La météo parfois capricieuse n'a jamais entamé sa détermination et il a toujours répondu présent en retroussant ses manches. Sa capacité d'adaptation avec une aisance naturelle, sa convivialité, son ouverture d'esprit et son respect des autres ont contribué à créer une ambiance harmonieuse et il s'est rapidement fait apprécier de tous ceux qui l'entouraient. It's a true pleasure to share my experience working with Georgina at our place. From the moment Georgina joined our team, her dedication and work ethic were evident in every task she had. What impress me most about Georgina is her collaborative nature. She is super friendly, kind , easy going, helpful. Thanks again for bringing your good vibes energy. We had a great time with Nathan! He was very clear with what he wanted us to do all while being super laid back. He was open to any and all feedback we had, he encouraged us to use his bikes and go exploring around. Nathan also introduced us to his locals and brought us to a delicious veggie café not far from the Quinta! Moreover, the house is stunning! The land is beautiful and provides us with lots of fruits to pick in the summer, we were free to use the pool and stroll around. Taking care of the chickens and Max and Minnie was a plus, as well as seeing the sheep do their daily stroll around. If ever we are back in central Portugal, we will be share to go back and visit Nathan!! We can't wait to see the work he'll be doing at the quinta!

Junko and Frank are awesome hosts — cheerful and friendly. They have a beautiful house with a lovely garden, and five adorable dogs. The daily tasks were mainly weeding or cleaning, depending on the weather. They are also very flexible with dates and understanding if you have any appointments or personal things to do, always open to communication. The house is a little bit far from the city, but there is a public bus with frequent schedules. The place is perfect to connect with nature and relax in your free time. It’s also super interesting to talk with them — they are very open-minded, their life stories are truly admirable, and Junko has the most contagious laugh! We definitely recommend staying with them and discovering this hidden gem of Perth. Thanks Junko and Frank.

Jeroen was very friendly and easygoing. He adapted easily to the place and helped clearing out the entrance road and he set up an Airbnb account for me. We had smoothe and interesting conversations about life and some of our personal pecularities. It was a super positive encounter. I really recommend him.

We spent seven wonderful days with our host in Jabbeke. All of it was lovely. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, the food they provided was healthy and delicious. our work was within their large formal garden, mostly doing trimming of hedges and picking apples. We were provided good working equipment to use and safety equipment. We also had time to explore the surroundings and take a day trip to Bruges. We are very appreciative for this experience and would recommend it to anyone. Our host was very kind and generous with their time. The cultural exchange aspect was tremendous as air host had a lot to tell us about history in the region as well as their passion for garden design.

Cris He's a very polite and independent guy! He works very well independently, very nice and kind! I hope his plans overlap with ours this spring so we can see each other again!! Thanks see you soon

Thomas Is the kind of person that decides to isolate a little bit of the world because the world is to noisy, chaotic and unfair; and he is so peaceful and down to earth. That can only mean that he is too pure for this world. So you can't find a better person to talk about life than him. In the moment I was reading and writing about politics, his wisdom and life stories inspired me to connect to my inspiration. Thank you Thomas for letting me be in your home.

It took me some time to write this reference because I feel there are not enough words to describe the experience. So I’ll just try to keep it short: If you are considering applying for a Workaway here, definitely go for it! I think volunteering at the Café is the best thing you can do during winter season! It will cure all your winter depressions and you will leave with a filled heart! Thank you so much for having me, Nutsa! Spending almost two months at the Café , working on top of Kudebi Mountain, was an incredible experience. You and Gigi made a dream come true, and I’m deeply grateful to have been part of your little place above the clouds. We stayed in dorm rooms in the café on the mountain, together with the rest of the staff. Our shifts were fun, and the time working in the café passed quickly. Honestly, it never felt like work surrounded by beautiful mountains and beautiful people all day. We had plenty of free time to ski and explore the area. Everyone else in the staff was super kind, generous, and welcoming. Thank you, Nutsa, for your warm energy and for making Kudebi feel like home. I left with a full heart, already dreaming of coming back! I arrived in a country I knew nothing about and left wanting to learn everything. From the very first moment we met Alex, Regina, and Zoe, they made us feel the warmth of their home to the fullest. They are open to new cultures, warm-hearted, understanding, kind, honest, and incredibly fun people. Alex and Regina are exceptionally thoughtful and considerate, and Zoe is always ready to play, radiating her warm and lively energy. During our stay, we truly felt welcomed — not as foreigners from another country, but as part of their home and family. Their house is right next to the forest with beautiful hiking trails, which we were able to explore on walks with Talba, Ooper, and Marley. The tasks given to us were not demanding at all, and we had the freedom to arrange our own schedule. They were always very respectful of our rest time. Even though we arrived without a car, they kindly picked us up and dropped us off at the station, and even lent us their own car on the weekend so we could go sightseeing. They are the kind of people who make you feel completely trusted and safe. Staying with such wonderful people in such a beautiful natural setting was a truly special experience.
