Thank you Noche for your help and presence here. You were our first person from South Korea and the Kimchi was really great with the spices you brought. To new hosts: even though communication might sometimes be a bit difficult in English (better in Spanish), you can be sure to have a person with very good work ethics, always giving her best to do the task very nicely. From assisting in construction to kitchen and cleaning jobs, garden and the rest, you could rely on her to finish it well. Wish you wonderful future experiences, and visit again!

We stayed for two weeks with Kat and Killjan, and it was an amazing experience. From the very beginning, they welcomed us warmly and made sure we had everything we needed to have a comfortable stay: plenty of food, blankets, working shoes and clothes. Always checking that we were comfortable and happy. They were very respectful of working hours, and we also enjoyed spending our free time together playing cards having great conversations or going on some excursions to get to know the environment. The church is beautiful, and being part of their project was truly a meaningful and rewarding experience. We hope to comeback sometime!

Pese a su juventud lo hizo muy bien. Una chica responsable, trabajadora y amable. Los niños congeniaron en seguida con ella. Ya sabes que en este pueblo de Valencia tienes tu segundo hogar ❣️

Thank you so much for your kind and heartfelt feedback. It truly means a lot to me and my family. From the moment you arrived, it felt very natural having you with us, and we really enjoyed sharing meals, stories, and many laughs together. The teachers Sen and Lin, as well as the students, absolutely loved having you at the school. Your enthusiasm, kindness, and positive energy made a real difference, and the children connected with you very quickly. We are grateful for the care and dedication you showed during your time teaching. It was a pleasure to show you our town, the jungle, and the farms, and to introduce you to local people and farmers who are part of our daily life. We are very happy to know that you felt welcomed and comfortable here, just like part of the family. We feel honored that this was your first Workaway experience, and we are touched to know it has set a positive standard for future travels. You will always be welcome here, and we sincerely hope our paths cross again one day. Thank you for being such wonderful guests — you will be truly missed.

Living with this family in the mountains of Tenerife was an excellent experience. The setting is incredibly peaceful, animals were fun to look after, the family were truly welcoming, and the children are absolutely adorable. It felt meaningful to be there and to know you’re genuinely contributing to a lovely family’s day-to-day life, which makes the placement especially rewarding. I would recommend having your own car, as the location is fairly remote and it wouldn’t be realistic to rely on a busy mum with small children for lifts (understandably!) but that independence only adds to the sense of purpose and calm that comes with staying there. Thanks so much Pete and Kim for a brilliant stay and trusting me with the painting of your murals! :)

I had a great time with Jey and her family! I spent 3 weeks in Nice with them and had nothing but a great time. The kids are wonderful to work with and have a great understanding of English. Jey is very easy to get along with and the amount of work is very reasonable. The working times were very clear by getting a schedule at the beginning of the week. I always had time in the day to go out in the city and a couple days off a week to take day trips to neighboring towns. If you're able to I definitely recommend working with Jey!

We had an absolutely amazing time staying with Jane! She is a really kind and warm-hearted person who makes you feel welcome right away. We really enjoyed her cooking and the long evening conversations around the table. Jane has a reflective, open-minded, and inspiring perspective on life, and she always has a great story to tell. She knows a lot about the area as well as Māori culture, which was very informative to learn about. The work was very varied, which we loved, so the eight-hour days went by quickly (always with enough time for a cup of tea or the best banana bread ;)) On our days off, we had plenty of time to explore the area, thanks to Jane’s tips. And not to forget: the views from the house are absolutely incredible. Every morning we woke up to a beautiful sunrise and a stunning view over the water. Best Workaway experience ever, we will miss you Jane!

Jeanne stayed with us from October to November 2025 for four weeks, and her presence was very positive for the shelter and the animals. From the beginning, she showed an open attitude towards everything and was very interested in learning both the daily tasks and about the animals themselves. With her calm manner, steadiness, daily smile, and positivity, she was soon able to care for the animals independently and was amazing in her behavior towards them, showing them love. Jeanne is someone you can rely on, she is not afraid of physical work, and she is also very easy to communicate with. She was always willing to help and offer assistance to injured animals and wherever else help was needed. This was very important because in a place where there are many animals, every day is different and there are always extra things to do. Thank you, Jeanne, for your presence, your help, and the love you showed the animals! We wholeheartedly recommend her to any other host, as she is a responsible person with positive energy.

My stay at Mr. Pravin’s farmstay was excellent. From the day I arrived until my departure, everything was well organized, and Mr. Pravin ensured the entire experience was smooth and comfortable. The farm manager, Mr. Dharamveer ji, along with the rest of the staff, were extremely polite, welcoming, and always eager to help. They made sure I felt at home while also sharing their knowledge about farming, plants, and daily life on the farm. The meals were fresh, straight from the farm, and absolutely delicious. Work hours were around five hours a day, and the remaining time was free to explore the village, visit nearby hills, or simply sit back and immerse yourself in nature. It’s a wonderful place to experience what it truly means to live in harmony with nature. What made this stay truly special was how warmly the staff welcomed me - I learned how to cook, how to make traditional ghee, and was even included in their family festivities. It felt less like a stay and more like being part of a family. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering it. Just keep in mind that this is a rural India setting, so it’s not about city-style activities. Life here is slow, peaceful, and grounded in nature, which is exactly what makes it special. You’ll also occasionally meet other guests, and I really enjoyed the conversations and connections that came from that.

Jaakov and Sabina were Amazing! They helped us with a variety of jobs - weeding, collecting rocks for our garden edges, cleaning, tidying and potting up Nikau palms. Sabina did an exceptional job of helping my daughter to clean and organise her bedroom- it was like a transformation! Sabina really does have organising super powers. Jaakov and Sabina were a delight to have in our home - we had some wonderful conversations and they were very respectful and thoughtful. We would highly recommend this amazing duo and wish them the best for their New Zealand adventure. Aria and family.

Judit and Adria were truly wonderful people to host. From the very beginning, their kindness and gentle hearts were clear. I was especially touched by how sincerely they cared about a tanuki that had been caught in a trap nearby — their compassion toward animals and nature says a lot about who they are as people. They worked very carefully and responsibly on every task we shared. They always paid attention to details and took pride in doing things properly. If I may add one very small and honest note: sometimes a little more speed would have been helpful — but this is really a luxury to mention, and never a problem. The quality of their work and their attitude were more than enough, and I always felt I could trust them completely. When they left, they cleaned and organized their living space perfectly, without causing me any extra work at all. This level of consideration is rare and deeply appreciated. During their stay, I unfortunately caught a very bad cold and was unable to function properly for several days. Honestly, if Judit and Adria had not been there, everything would have completely stopped. Their presence, calm support, and reliability helped me more than they probably realize. They also made a real effort to explore the village together, connect with local people, and blend into the community naturally. Seeing them enjoy Mamihara in such a respectful and open-hearted way made me very happy. I am truly grateful for the time we shared, and I warmly recommend Judit and Adria to any host who is looking not just for help, but for kind, thoughtful, and trustworthy people. They will always be welcome here again. Thank you very much for your support. Best regards, Rie

Noah is a quiet, polite, hardworking young man. During his stay Noah did a range of jobs including some hard outdoor work which included changing the chainsaw chain and cutting up some sizeable logs - well done! He's a practical young man with a good work ethic and I'd highly recommend him to other hosts. All the best with the rest of your travels and apprenticeship when you get back home Noah!

While Matteo only stayed with us for a couple of days he was great value to have around. We loved his laid back style and were intrigued with his mainstay job in Yoga. It was great to see someone using the gym space in a different way. He was a hard worker and easy to get along with and would recommend him.

Nacho was an easy-going guy to get along with. He was a hard worker and decided to cut his stay a bit short to get on with travelling. We wish him all the best for his NZ experience.

I stayed at Terrie and Dan’s farm for nearly 3 weeks and undertook daily tasks to care for their pets (dogs, guinea pigs, chickens etc.) and maintain their lovely garden. Terrie made me feel very welcome and ensured I was always provided for, even recommending local places for me to visit on my time off and taking me to the tennis! I found the work was as described on their WorkAway profile and enjoyed looking after their herd of cows alongside other jobs around the house and gardens. I also enjoyed helping out with some additional babysitting. The studio was cosy, clean and very well equipped and I was kindly given access to their car. Lovely Australian farm and family! Thank you very much for having me Terrie.

Melvin is a hard worker with a unique perspective. I couldn't fault his work ethic and there were instances of Melvin deciding to pitch in and do extra tasks along the way (thanks for the clean fridge). There was a lot of weeding that needed doing during his stay due to the time of year and the spring growth, so we know that's always a tough slog. Melvin is enthusiastic and looking for an engaging experience which at times we may not have been able to offer due to the amount of work I had on, but he kept himself engaged and I'm glad he enjoyed his experience overall. We wish him all the best for the rest of his journeys and recommend him to anyone else looking to have him join them. He's definitely a hard worker :-)

It has been amazing staying in Janine and John's home . We felt as at home! we planned to stay one week and finally we stayed two! they are really flexible, we had our nice place for us...and we did some weeding, fencing, painting, tidying, carpentry.. they have many animals and Janine loves them as human family. Thanks for everything!
