Description
Hello!
Hi! I’m Rie. I live with my husband and two kids in a small countryside town near Mt. Aso, Takachiho, and Tsuujun Bridge. It’s a peaceful spot with rivers to swim in, beautiful nature, and a bit of local history too.
We’re working on building a small community where kids and locals can reconnect with nature through farming, hiking, and simple living. I’d love your help with housework, light farm work, and sharing ideas for fixing up our traditional Japanese house.
It would also be great if you could chat in English with my kids, but they are quite busy, so it may just be for a short time during breakfast.
In your free time, you can relax, explore nature, or just enjoy the quiet countryside life.
I’d like to be honest—I prefer someone who works with care, energy, and a positive attitude. I don’t get along well with people who work too slowly or without thinking. I really appreciate people who manage their time well and try to do their best.
Also, I can’t host smokers because of my tobacco allergy, and please contact me only if you’re sure you’d like to stay.
You’ll stay in a shared room at our guesthouse. Please bring your own towels and toiletries, and handle your own meals when you’re off duty.
I usually welcome solo female travelers, but if you have carpentry or electrical skills, that’s a big plus! I’m looking forward to meeting someone who enjoys working and spending time together.Types of help and learning opportunities

You will stay in the house we are cleaning up.
There is a house 30 seconds away from my house that I want you to clean up. It is an old Japanese house. The house has a room for you to sleep in.
I prepare a simple breakfast and lunch. There are convenience stores and supermarkets within walking distance, so if you don't feel enough, please buy food by yourself. Please prepare your own meals when the day you are not working. What else ...
Our area is called Mamihara. There are few buses to Aso and Takachiho.
