We stayed with Anne and Robert for only two days, but we truly appreciated spending time with them and helping out in such a beautiful place. Anne had already helped us with different things even before we met, while we were working on a farm nearby. We were even able to leave some of our belongings there so we could go hiking lighter. The caravan we slept in was great, with a beautiful view over the valley. Swimming in the river and picking cherries were unforgettable moments. We even got to taste the cherry juice when we saw Robert again at the Salamanca Market the following week! We highly recommend spending time with Anne and Robert. They are wonderful, very welcoming, and full of exciting projects 😊

Positive Turkish workawayer “Merhaba” hello in her language. I really appreciate that you adjusted here Ozge or Rather say Rosita, nicknamed while she was here. a lovely, open-minded person. She was fantastic with weeding the garden by herself almost completely finished and happily helping me to take the dogs for a walk. She was a great addition to the daily life in here. The help was challenging for her but rewarding her performance; that counts a lot at the end endeed¡ I learned so much from her cultural background. Her critical thinking about world affairs during our conversation and proactive approach to them reflects your leadership potential. I highly recomend any body this happy person. Gracias Ozge or Rosita on behalf of Hachiko, Pampita, Winston and Minina and myself.

Yahel and May have stayed with us for two weeks and have been delightful and interesting visitors to our home. Both are curious and wanting to learn about everything and especially to do things well. They are quick to learn new skills and go about their work with diligence and effort to create a good result. When they arrived, we had a lot of clean up and clearing of our gardens and paddocks to do after being away for several months. Together they have cut back foliage, weeded gardens, raked and pruned to transform large areas around our property. This is wonderful help for us as we are getting older and finding it hard to manage on our own. Yahel learnt to use the hedge trimmer and the whipper snipper and spent hours clearing long grass in difficult to reach places. May moved to cleaning windows and helping me with some housework which has made such a positive difference. We would highly recommend May and Yahel to other workaway hosts and wish them well in their travels

Megan was a pleasure to host. She worked very well and was a great help in the garden, around the house and with the animals. She had a wonderfully positive attitude which made living together a breeze. I also appreciated her sincerity, open mind and curiosity about life. I can wholeheartedly recommend her.

Carol and Bud were my first workaway i have ever done. It was overall a great experience, they are both lovely and inviting people!! I got plenty of time off to see the true beauty of southern utah, Bud was very good at giving me lifts as i didnt have a car, i appreciated it a lot, he even took me to see dinosaur tracks!! Carol taught me a lot of history about st. george and utah, aswell as teaching me how to scrapbook, how to do some gardening and much more!! The work i did was never too much or too difficult, it was mostly outside in the garden cleaning up or trimming bushes, i also helped clear a neighbours yard, they had all of the tools required.. so overall i am very lucky to of had Carol and Bud as my first hosts, as it has led me to want to do even more work always in the future 😁😁!! Hopefully i'll see you again soon

Ulises is a fabulous host. He's kind, thoughtful, great company, and an excellent teacher. He's very knowledgeable about a lot of things and he loves to share what he knows about Mexico and Merida, as well as anything else you might be interested in. I'm very much a beginner in Spanish and he was really supportive in helping me to improve my vocabulary and comprehension. The work is not very taxing - whilst I was there, we painted his lounge and I cleaned up a little around the house, and we cooked some meals together, but he really doesn't ask a lot of you. He introduced me to his friends who are also lovely people, so I got to experience more of life in Merida by spending time with them as well. We took a little road trip to the beach and we stopped along the way for him to show me some ruins and sightseeing opportunities. I feel very lucky to have met and shared a space with Ulises; he is a truly beautiful soul.

My experience at this place was incredible. Mish and Nige were enthusiastic hosts who took time and effort to teach us all about conservation. The work was appropriate and very do-able, especially since Mish and Nige always answered any questions we had. The accommodations were beautiful and comfortable. I would recommend!

I had an absolutely wonderful stay with Coral. I reached out to her very last minute and was incredibly fortunate that she could host me for a full week. From the moment I arrived, she made me feel truly welcome and at home. Staying with Coral felt like being part of her everyday life in the best possible way. We did water aerobics, yoga, and went on several lovely trips together, and every day was filled with laughter and positive energy. We also shared many meaningful and enjoyable conversations over meals. Coral is an outstanding cook, and I was spoiled with delicious homemade food throughout my stay, every meal was made with care and love. It was such a pleasure to sit down together for breakfast, lunch and dinner and enjoy both the food and the company. I also had the chance to spend a few days with her brother Roland, who was very kind and welcoming. He took me to see beautiful waterfalls with two other Workaway guests and invited me out on the boat for an unforgettable day. Overall, I can’t recommend staying with Coral highly enough. She is an incredibly warm, generous, and inspiring person, and this experience is one I will always remember. I would absolutely love to come back one day. All the best, Joe

Tom and Ana stayed with us for 10 days at our ecological farm, and hosting them was truly a beautiful experience. From the very beginning, they showed genuine interest in our sustainable lifestyle, our solar systems, and daily farm activities. They were proactive, responsible, and always willing to learn and contribute wherever needed. Together, they worked wonderfully as a team and integrated naturally into the rhythm of our off-grid life. They helped with daily maintenance, garden tasks, organization, and general support around our solar-powered cabins, always with attention to detail and respect for the space. One of the most special things about their stay was the love they showed for our animals. They connected deeply with our chickens, cats, and dogs — giving them attention, affection, and care every single day. It was clear that they truly enjoy being around animals, and the animals loved them back. Beyond the work, they were kind, easy to communicate with, and brought great conversations and good vibes to the farm. We truly appreciated their respect for nature, their curiosity about sustainable systems, and their openness to living simply and consciously. Tom and Ana will always be welcome back at our farm. 🌿 I highly recommend them to any host looking for responsible, warm-hearted, and engaged volunteers.

Clotilde is absolutely amazing. She’s responsible, organized, and a natural coordinator with great management skills. She stayed with us during a period when I was mainly traveling, but I met her before and after, and it was such a pleasure having her here. She was incredibly respectful and helped us a lot, especially with a group of French Workawayers who didn’t speak much English. Her support made a big difference, and she handled everything with maturity and confidence. Everyone loved her and said she will be truly missed. No matter what kind of project you have, Clotilde will definitely be a huge help. She’s capable, reliable, and a fantastic person to have around. Highly recommended!

Ziqi and Xiyuan were our first volunteers from China, and it was a really nice experience hosting them. They are kind, respectful, and hardworking young women. They are a bit more shy and preferred to interact between themselves, but they were always polite, helpful, and committed to the tasks we gave them. They helped with everything that was needed and carried out their responsibilities with care and dedication. Everyone here liked them very much. They brought a calm and gentle presence to the farm, and we appreciated having them with us. Super nice volunteers and recommended to future hosts :)

I stayed in Bellingen for three weeks and found it to be such a peaceful and relaxing place. The people working there were incredibly kind and open-minded. They genuinely care about making sure everyone feels happy and comfortable with their work, and they even adjusted my schedule so I could focus on some personal projects while I was there. Bellingen is a charming little town, full of great coffee shops, beautiful rivers, and lovely walks to explore. The local markets and fresh food are also a highlight. I highly recommend stopping there for a little journey of your own. A special thank you to Rowan and Beth for being so welcoming and thoughtful 😊

Manie and Hugo are super nice people — such a pleasure to host. They’re French, very polite, easygoing, and brought a really good energy to the farm. Everyone liked them a lot. They helped us with different tasks during their stay, but they arrived right in mango season, so we ended up processing a lot of mangoes together and making mango shrubs. It was such a fun and productive time, and they were fully involved and happy to help. They’re good, kind people with a great vibe. They were also friends of two other volunteers who had stayed with us before — and those friends even came back and stayed a bit longer with them, which made the whole experience even more special. They’re very welcome here anytime. Super recommended — hosting them will definitely be a good experience.
