    Description

I am a Registered Nurse from Liverpool, and have lived in Spain for 6 years now. I'm chilled, happy and friendly.

I need people who are good with simple DIY, organising cupboards, clearing the storeroom, removing plaster, painting, patching plaster, adjusting curtains, putting up curtain poles, looking after plants, sweeping and cleaning the terrace

You have your own room and new bathroom downstairs. I provide all meals and snacks. I can take you to places of interest in the area, with a little notice.

You are also expected to share the cooking and stack dishwasher/clean up after meals.

I don’t smoke or take drugs. It's ok if you smoke (on the terrace).

I don't have any animals or pets.

I prefer if you have reviews or people you have volunteered with in the past. We will have a video conversation and you can ask as many questions as you want.

If you have dietary needs or allergies, please let me know and I will see what we can do.

Salobreña is a coastal town in Granada. It’s lively in the summer and quiet in the winter.
The house is just a 5-minute walk from the beach and town centre.
You can enjoy peace and quiet or immerse yourself in local Spanish life. There is a cultural centre and a library nearby, with plenty of cafés, bars, supermarkets, and social events.
The town has weekly markets, rastros, and a monthly eco-market.
Granada, Málaga, and Almería are all easy to reach by bus.
I also have a car and can take you to nearby places with a little notice.
When I’m home, I often travel to Órgiva for yoga.

    Help

I’m looking for people with basic DIY skills to help with projects around the house-scraping plaster from some crumbly walls, touching up plaster, cleaning, organising draws/cupboards, cleaning storage room, painting walls, looking after plants,

You will work mostly on your own. I may join you for larger projects.

Sometimes I’m away for a few days at a time working.
You will contribute up to 5 hours a day over 5 days each week.

The house is in a quiet area of town, 5 mins walk to the beach with a park next door. It's 15 minute walk to the bus stop with routes to Granada, Málaga, and Almería. Granada’s Alhambra is less than an hour away and Sierra Nevada Mountains are just over an hour’s drive, where there's skiing and hiking.
