    Description

We are an organic place where you can live with a zero carbon footprint — a place created to care for nature, animals, and plants.
Nestled deep in the tropical Costa Rican cloud rainforest, our off-grid farm is on the road to becoming self-sufficient and fully disconnected from the modern world 🌎. The nearest town is 7 km away, and all our energy comes from the sun and the wind. Our dream is to nurture and grow a vast forest, giving back to the land that sustains us.

We’re a Costa Rican family carrying forward a local ecological project that supports a real movement in favor of nature 🌿. My parents have lived in this area for more than 50 years, and here, everyone is either a friend or family.

We currently have an open position for two people, available from December 10th to January 9th 🌍. If you meet the qualifications, please write to me!

Our place is a living, evolving family dream — and we’d love for you to be part of it.

We’re looking for two Eco Admin Workawayers to help with the day-to-day organisation of our project — a mix of light administrative tasks, helping with the farm, and caring for our friendly pets (3 beagles, two cats and 10 chickens). You’ll help keep our small community running efficiently while enjoying life in a peaceful, nature-rich environment.

    🌿What You’ll Do

-Follow the training sessions (dec 10th to 15th) where you´ll receive all the guidance and information you could need :)
-Coordinate with my father and mom on any emergent or maintenance tasks that may arise. They will help you with any problem you could face. Be advised, they only speak Spanish and are super-friendly old Costa Ricans.
-Help with basic admin tasks like organising the weekly plan, checking messages, and updating the situation on the farm through videos and photos.
-Care for our lovely pets (feeding, cuddles, walks, and making sure they’re happy and safe)
-Enjoy your weekends free to explore, rest, or simply enjoy nature 🌄

    🧡 We’re Looking For

-Responsible, friendly, and organised couple of volunteers
    -Love for animals and nature
    -Good communication skills and proactivity
    -Adaptable to off-grid, eco-living environments
    -Intermediate level of Spanish/English (interview)

    🌻 What You’ll Gain

-First-hand experience in eco-project administration in a rural and isolated solar farm in Costa Rica. Live as a local.
-A month living sustainably on a solar-powered farm. You´ll have a beautiful private cabin (The Office) and view (Gulf of Nicoya, CR Central Pacific).
-Learning about off-grid systems, permaculture, animals, plants and local wisdom.
-Be introduced to all our local friends to live as a local ;)
-Weekends are free to relax or explore nearby natural spots ;)
-The chance to contribute to a real regenerative local community project

    Accommodation

The chosen couple of people will be hosted in our beautiful, handmade cabin for volunteers. You have the opportunity to stay for free in exchange for some hours of collaboration. We will provide free accommodation and access to all our facilities.
This tiny house, called “The Office,” is powered by a handcrafted solar system that provides clean energy to charge your phone and other USB devices. Inside and outside, you’ll find LED lighting, a cozy wood-fired kitchen, and a rainwater collection system that supplies your water — all designed for sustainable living.
For logistical reasons, we are including basic raw food in this offering (Rice, beans, local coffee, oils, bananas, spices, oats, salt, sugar). You are in charge of cooking with your own special touch and bringing your own flavours to life :). We also have seasonal tropical fruits/veg (coconuts, bananas, sugar cane, guavas, mangoes, coffee and/or avocados) available to volunteers on the farm.
You´ll have a full kitchen with a wood-burning stove and an area to prepare your meals, along with an open deck for yoga, meditation, or just enjoying the beautiful view.
