Description
I like what I'm doing with love and passion. I love myself not only because I am but also because of what magic and potential there are within me! I have Aymara background, my family are in La Paz some of them are living in here Santa Cruz. Becouse of the climate.
As Bolivian living in Santa Cruz. How could I describe this city!?!? To understand Bolivia and Santa Cruz and its main cities you would have to mix concrete, an incredible amount of different flowers, Diesel, love, some corruption, ancient Aymara, Inca and other important culture cults, great street food, beggars, great loving percussion music, natural sweet fruits like mangos etc, modern technology, old and colonial architecture and rituals, street clowns, jugglers, preachers of all kinds and merchants of all kinds, "left" revolutionary consciousness music by Ernesto Che Guevarra (famous guerrilla man in the 70s) and poetry, romance and some drops of beauty. What you will get will be a brand that you will either love or flush down the toilet! Beneath the city of Santa Cruz are the ancient native cultures that once ruled a vast territory of Bolivia by the Incas. In all aspects we are situated between a native Spanish indigenous culture and the first American and contemporary settlers, daily and unconsciously we Bolivians come to the question who and what are we as a culture? As a person? Or as an individual product of this mysterious universe?... I invite you to walk through the streets of this city and discover with me while you are with us as an assistant what is Bolivia or the city of Santa Cruz itself?
My community and its surroundings are known for its popular working class people. It also has a vibrant popular artistic culture and many people interested in local food. This villa has a fairly prosperous artistic community. Tourist attraction close to the city of Santa Cruz such as the Cotoca Sanctuary is a small town of Guaraní origin located to the East. Its potteries since its ceramists are very skilled, Botanical Garden important place with ecological trails in the middle of a variety of flora and fauna, as well as a lagoon and camping areas, The zoo will be enjoyed by both children and adults. It contains many species of exotic and endangered tropical animals such as the blue macaw, scarlet macaws. I like to mention the indigenous Ayoreo people of Bolivia and the endangered group. A friendly visit to their community can be arranged on a horse-drawn cart for an hour or two. We have some interrelations projects and my organization. In the social, human areas of cooperation. It is not too far from where I live. A one-block sign behind a wall announces the “Comunidad Degüi” (Degüi Community), where Ayoreo families live in houses, most of them made of mud and cane. Traditionally hunter-gatherers, their main activities in rural areas today are subsistence agriculture and forestry work, while in the cities they perform many types of jobs. I can provide a tour to go there. We can walk within the community and buy useful crafts, this can be an economic help for them, the Ayoreo women are excellent at making them. Or else, where else in the world can you have the privilege of meeting such original people with their ancestral practices and crafts? Come and visit them with me. That can be a unique experience. We had a visitor who was from Kings College London. He gave few English classes for real beginners to children, some young people and adults. The same could be done previously arranged with them. All depends on time and interest. This experience can be one hour or twice a week as a cultural experience, I could arrange as a language expert. My relations with these Ayoreo indigenous people are in good terms, and I get along very well. This would be a once in a lifetime opportunity for a Workawayer with indigenous people who are in danger of spreading.
I also have a project to feed street dogs called "LOVE ALSO HAS 4 PAWS". We prepare the food at home and then we go out on the street and give them something to eat and satisfy their immediate needs. This project consists of 3 parts. 1. Feeding them 2. Medical care and 3. Place of shelter. We are in the first part still. We need volunteers with love and hope to do this. How do I self-sustain this? With little help from my guest house and my language center. I do it with love not as an obligation.
I own a guest house with a few rooms legally established by the government of Santa Cruz and Bolivia and a language center where I teach Aymara, Quechu and Spanish, people come from many parts of the world to stay and learn the Spanish and native languages . I am friendly, love meeting people, easy going and I like tropical dance like salsa, merengue, bachata and samba music. My guest house is located just a few meters from Avenida de Julio where guests find local buses, taxis, shops and restaurants, public schools, all kinds of shops, clubs and pubs, within walking distance and in a safe public area.
There are three members of staff. Myself- Hector the director and two teachers who offer Spanish classes. When we have large groups we employ some freelancers to support us.

Working as a volunteer here connects them with other places and people, while disconnecting them from their daily routine. It allows them to rest in their free time, play with the foosball tables, we have a basketball and volleyball court, a chess board on the floor, read, use the internet under the fruit trees in the hammock, discover, get to know, learn, value life from another angle. It gives them the opportunity to get to know new corners and customs and, sometimes, even opens them up to new ideas. In conclusion, it will be self-gratifying.
Help

We mainly prefer people, above all any one who likes learning, loving, living and leave a legacy for this wonderful world. Do not worry if you do not speak Spanish when exchanging with us and the community you will learn more about the language in a natural way like kid, guided by the spanish sound and then the meaning.
We have volunteers who come from other religious organisations or NGOs. And they ask us to give them Spanish classes. No problem. We have prices, it's on our website. Click on PRICES and see the prices.
For volunteers we give them a 50% discount as a form of cooperation. It is optional to take classes, on request in advance because of the 50% discount demand.
My place is special for ecology, teaching native languages such as Aymara, Quechua and Spanish. And also for the experience tourism trips that we do by horse carriage once or twice a week around the city or outside the city getting to know more about the neighbours in the periphery. We also visit the Ayorea community (indigenous people of the Amazon) and the popular markets of the informal economy. When my students' level of Spanish is ample we visit to see a court case in the courthouse.
A little more information
