Moritz and Vivien are two very pleasant people who have been staying with us for almost four weeks, which have flown by! The two work very well together as a couple and complement each other nicely. Moritz is an excellent driver (he can even change a wheel!) and extremely reliable in all his tasks. Vivien is a great cook and good at communicating. Both love animals and quickly learned how to take care of horses, dogs, cats and pigs on their own. I would wholeheartedly recommend them both as helpers and house sitters!

Sigrid was very inspirational and helpful. She always gave me the opportunity to do what worked best and prepared some very yummy food during my stay. She also invited me celebrate Christmas with her, her friends and her family which was an experience I will never forget. The animals (dogs, cats, goats, chickens) in the property are all lovely and I miss them a lot! There are nice orange, grapefruit and lemon trees and it's a great experience to eat fresh, delicious fruit. For free! She also helped me to get a small paid job which was a unique experience in itself! I had a blast and I'm sure she will be of amazing help to an Workawayer looking for a nice, wholesome stay in regional Victoria!

Volunteering at the language café was a great opportunity to get to know Korean culture and recharge my batteries. Every day, I had the chance to speak with different Koreans and learn a bit about their lives and habits. The accommodation is cozy and centrally located in Seoul, which makes the stay both relaxing and convenient. The volunteering place is just a 10-minute walk away. Dennis himself is kind and generous, and I appreciated every second there. Thank you again for the wonderful experience :)

Alexia and Steven are two incredibly kind people with two wonderful children. I felt at home and welcome right away. Over time, their place truly became a second home. I even extended my stay by 3 weeks. It was hard to leave for my next Workaway spot—I’m so grateful for the amazing time I had with them. You can learn a lot from them about how to interact with children in a beautiful way. Through that, you may also learn something about yourself. There is no competition in the interaction with children but one can easily forget about that. —What matters is free expression and letting go of constant self-criticism. I love how Alexia and Steven communicate with each other and with others. How they address and cope with problems or disagreements. I spent Christmas and New Year’s with Alexia and Steven, which was a wonderful time. And I really enjoyed going for a cold plunge on Sundays with everyone. Kismet and I baked cookies together during Advent. She also helped me now and then with baking sourdough bread and cooking. I was impressed when I saw her crack eggs all by herself while making scrambled eggs. I really enjoyed drawing, playing shopping, cooking and so on, with here together! To get around the island, I had access to a car. I covered the fuel and insurance costs, which felt only fair. They would cover for fuel when I went for grocery runs, which I’d sometimes combine with little trips—win-win! I also got to try Contact Improvisation Dance, which was amazing. And the hiking here is super nice! (In the rainy winter, you just have to be flexible with your hiking days.) I had an incredibly beautiful time on Salt Spring Island. Aileen was so thoughtful and kind and picked things up really quickly. She used her initiative and asked if she wasn't sure. I would highly recommend her to anyone. She helped us with building work, painting, weeding and cleaning. She was always willing and happy and she is also a very good cook.

Claudie is a lovely, polite and friendly person. She’s very respectful, easy going and always ready to help with anything that needs doing. We both enjoyed having her here and she fitted in well with the other travellers. She applied herself really well to all the different tasks we needed done and we would have no problem recommending her to anyone who would like to host her.

I truly loved my stay at Nicki’s. Nicki and her friends were incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout my visit. Renovations at her beautiful home are nearly complete, and I enjoyed an upscale hot shower every day, a lovely private bedroom, and even my own living room with a grand TV and fireplace. I will deeply miss Cleo, the gentle giant, who holds a very special place in my heart. This was a warm, comfortable, and genuinely caring home, and I’m very grateful for my time here. Thank you so much, Nicki.

Pablo has been with us for 2 weeks and touched our hearts and minds with his attitudes and talents. He is very dedicated on any tasks. He has been helping in building beds for agriculture, cleaning land from plastics, filling the beds with compost and some other hard works but he showed a no problem attitude. He is also a professional wonderful cook and we enjoyed some delicious dishes. He connected very easily with all the team and everyone loved to spend the day with him. My time here gave me more than I could have imagined. Friends and knowledge for life. Felt so safe and free to be myself and have the space to really connect with the other volunteers and ofc Lola&Eric. I'm looking forward to my next visit and follow this beautiful place growth. I had a really stellar experience volunteering at this gorgeous temple. I attended most evening services, which I do recommend and found myself chanting when I would do solo work on the property and even whilst on drives. The llamas are fun to work with, the vegetarian food is delectable and the sense of peace on the property was grand. Got to ask a lot of questions to a few devotees to gain insight on the path of devotion to God. Which I feel we need now more than ever. Went to fifth water hot springs three weeks in a row on my day off. Such healing waters! I went at 6am to avoid the crowds that come a bit later and usually had the place to myself. Didn't get to meet the owners, as they were away when I was visiting. Thanks to Trevor and everyone at the temple for being so kind & welcoming.

We cannot commend Clara and Jule highly enough for their motivation, tidiness and easy going, friendly natures. As two young people freshly out of school, they displayed maturity and understanding with us and the tasks we needed assistance with. We are so grateful for their help and wish them the very best for the rest of their travel plans. God bless you both.

Jessica and Ruben were very enthusiastic volunteers. Jessica provided daily yoga classes and they shared the responsibility of performing the social host position. They were very organised and punctual and communicated clearly with guests using our internal messaging platform. They performed their roles very well. Thank you for contributing.

It was a great pleasure to have Luca at mine. He was very organised and was an easy guest in the house. He completed the work without me needing to follow up too much. He stayed with me for a week longer than we initially planned, and he was proactive in helping around the house and carrying his weight. I 100% recommend Luca as a reliable Workawayer, and he leaves my home as a friend :)

Brother George stay with us was absolutely amazing. He is such a calm guy with great smile all the time. He helped with whatever we asked him. I also did mountain tours with him and I’ve meet thousand of people but for what I can say is , he’s truly diamond heart among people I meet before. Thank you brother George. Much love ❤️

A kind and friendly host with a charming house and gardens. I mostly worked outside pruning trees etc which suits me fine. I was given a room to stay in and fantastic home cooked meals in return for my work. I would highly recommend this host 🙂

Sarah is a gorgeous young lady that stayed with us for a number of months and is simply part of the family now. She is fun and funny, friendly and easy to get on with. Sarah has a lot of experience with both children and animals and is able to handle both or either, particularly when the one is behaving like the other! She particularly loves horses and is a good rider that hates to toot her own horn. She is able to do almost anything and gets on with tasks. She is welcome back any time and we will miss her!

Sandra and Neil were the sweetest. They were very welcoming and hosted me with their heart. Every meal was DE-LI-CIOUS thanks to Sandra. Neil took the time to explain to me the gardening jobs (their garden is beautiful and a bit maze-like). We spent every evening together, watching the news, talking and watching some interesting shows ^^. I really cherished those moments. They have travelled a lot and you can exchange with them about different topics (such as Kiwi culture), so if you want to help a lovely couple and learn more about the country don't hesitate to contact them!

We stayed one week in beautiful Governor's Bay with Kate and Alex, their two teenage children, energetic Bounce and timid Pixie. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Kate and Alex were a pleasure to talk to, and the evening dinners were always entertaining and also delicious. They were very flexible about when we did our hours, so we could enjoy the good weather days to go exploring (and there is a lot to see in the area!). We worked in the garden, helped with ideas for a conversion project and spent a day on their little vineyard. The work was varied, and weather conditions were taken into account. Overall a great stay that we would happily recommend to other Workawayers.

I'm so grateful to Lizzie for having me to stay. She showed me so much kindness and generosity in her hosting, like including me in her plans and even introducing me to her lovely friends / neighbours. My work was mostly in the garden, carrying out tasks such as weeding, dead heading and mulching, and also canning / food preserving when the weather was bad which was really interesting and allowed me to learn new skills. The house is beautiful, and located in a really peaceful area close to the beach and forest which is good for walks. I didn't have a car so was kindly picked up from the intercity stop at levin. It was my first workaway stay and it was a great experience for me and a great intro to New Zealand aswell well. I learnt so much, thank you Lizzie :)

Dylaaaaan! Dylan is very easy-going, adaptable, strong, and smart. He spent about a month here and got along easily with everyone, with very few demands. He’s become like part of my family. He was also never bothered by getting dirty while helping with my small waste management business. Everyone who knows you already misses you! I hope your journey goes smoothly and is full of amazing experiences! Let’s meet again!
