    Description

My name is Rajith - I am originally from Sri Lanka, and living in Australia for about 8 years, and work as a researcher at the University of Melbourne. I am also a watercolour artist in my spare time. I live in St Kilda by myself. I consider myself quite adventurous and active. I go camping / hiking quite often, and regularly go bouldering (indoors). I always love a "project" - for example I built my campervan by myself!

My next project is moving house! And this is the project that I need help with. You may wonder... "why that is a project?!" Well...my apartment's spare room does not have any inbuilt storage. So I want to build a wardrobe, and desk-setup, complete with a Murphy bed. So I thought I will combine that with moving and offer it on workaway. Let's have a chat and figure out what we can do together! In return, I offer you accommodation (internet and utilities included, of course), and will offer some meals.

(Don't need help with the actual bulk of the move - I've hired movers for that)

Rough timeline for the stay is from 10th November to the 3rd of December. (Can accommodate earlier dates).

I have got extensive hosting experience on couchsurfing, you can check my references on there :)

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Accommodation will be in a separate room on a double sized sofa bed (This might change slightly with the move - but I will always provide you with suitable sleeping arrangements in consultation with you). I am happy to share our food with you. (Note: mine is a vegan household. So please don't bring non vegan food).
If you are two people, and do not want to share a bed, I can set up the other sofa bed, but it is in the living room.

I will provide meals as follows:

All food will be vegan. Other dietary preferences can be easily provided for.

    Everyday: Breakfast
On half work days (2-3 hours of work): Breakfast + Lunch OR Dinner
On full work (5 hour days): Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner

Breakfasts: Ingredients provided: oats, soymilk, fruit, dried fruit, nuts etc.
Lunches (shared): I will provide ingredients (and cook together when it's practical) OR have ingredients for sandwiches OR previous night's dinner leftovers
Dinners (shared): I will provide ingredients and cook together. Simple meals like rice and curry, pasta, lasagne, etc. Usually we'll have leftovers from dinner to have for the next day's lunch.

    Bonus:
    - I bake sweet treats often - when I do , I love to share it with my guests!
