Elisabeth became a natural and valued part of our family from the very moment she arrived, and she has remained so even long after returning home. Her presence was genuinely appreciated, both by us as adults and by the children, with whom she built a strong, caring, and playful connection. She consistently demonstrated a high level of competence and initiative in daily tasks. Elisabeth is excellent with children, reliable in the kitchen, and highly capable when it comes to practical and hands-on work. In particular, her sewing skills are outstanding and added significant value during her stay. On a personal level, Elisabeth is easygoing, open, and trustworthy. Communication with her was seamless throughout the entire process—from the initial planning stages to her time with us—making collaboration both efficient and enjoyable. We can confidently recommend Elisabeth to any family or employer seeking a dependable, skilled, and genuinely kind person. She would be a strong asset in any setting.

Fay is a positive person and a fast learner, it was nice having her on board. She helped with one of our NGO's projects and also assisted me with my Art classes. While hers was a short stay, she is more than welcome to come back any time. Thanks Fay!

I just spent 2 and a half weeks in Malta volunteering at Clive's place and I had an absolutely brilliant time. Clive is a kind, generous and creative person. He understands what you are good at and uses that for your volunteering tasks. some days I helped with the tile workshop and other days I would be life modelling or helping around the house. It was a really great experience and I would definitely go back. Malta is also a very beautiful country and a lovely island to explore. Thanks so much Clive for a great volunteering experience!

Michiel was my first Workawayer this year- and I was the first host after reviving his account. I contacted him first (in December already) and he really felt the call to come to stay in March, after the winter season, for one week. There was a lot to do at that time, it needed his strong arms and hands, as storm Kristin had struck basically everywhere (house and garden). He helped with cleaning the area, cutting trees, burning branches, bringing down the new sauna into the garden... Unfortunately, the private handyman did not make it in time to be supported by Michiel and teach him some of this knowledge. But I am happy that Michiel - coming with his own car - got to see the area and join the local network for a circle. His food habits were very compatible and we had most of the meals together, having very nice chats. Unfortunately - as time went by so fast - we did not have the chance to play music together. Next time! Michiel also got along very well with the other helper. He is welcome to come back any time - as a friend for visiting and seeing the (hopefully) progress, a helper, ... Until then, moito obrigada and best of luck!

You spent 64 days with us in the Central Highlands, fully immersing herself in our daily routine. From waking up early for learning support programme, Science class teaching and computer lessons, her dedication was unmatched. She was also a great help with first aid, sports, and various school activities. Her interaction with our boarders was so meaningful that they truly feel her absence, and we all hope she can return soon. Our Grade 4 to 6 learners will especially cherish the memories of their computer lessons and the first-ever school newsletter they created with her guidance. Thank you, Maider, for your kind heart and your genuine passion for our children. You are always welcome back!

Paul is a very kind person, interested and open minded. Liberal enough to let other peoples views stand, even he has perhaps an other view. He did integrate him very well in family live. He loves games (real and virtual), but especially board games. He did really good working with us and sometimes also alone: bringing old hay from the mountain down, cutting wood in the barn. Cooking and doing the dishes, collecting wild leek in the forest. And the work was done in good quality and very fast. Thank you very much! And you are welcome to come back. Werner and Monika

My stay at Ove and Emma's farm was amazing! They are honestly amongst the kindest people I have ever met. You can tell that they put a lot of effort in creating a great environment for workawayers to have a good experience. Overall, I felt like they trusted me to do the tasks, and also to take initiatives and come up with ideas to help with things around the farm. In this way it truly felt like an exchange, rather than “just” volunteer work. They answered all my questions with great interest, and we had lots of lovely conversations. I mentioned that I had an interest in gardening and permaculture and they happily shared with me the knowledge they acquired on these topics while working their own land. They also always made sure to provide me with jobs that suited my interests. During my stay I was able to tackle a variety of jobs from tending to the animals, gardening, planting, bike maintenance, and woodworking. I also enjoyed spending some time with Ove and Emma while working, but also to have time on my own and be independent, I think it's a great balance. There was also always room to take a break and chat about things, which made work days very enjoyable. Similarly, they also made sure that I had everything I needed to enjoy my free time. I was very happy to be able to use their electric bike to explore the surroundings and they provided lots of tips on where to go and what to do. Ove kindly offered to go sailing on his boat one afternoon, and it was a really great way to enjoy the sun and discover the island from the sea. They are also very attentive to the wellbeing of workawayers, and they were very proactive in making sure I was having a good time on the farm and feeling okay. Emma always made sure to get sufficient food from the store, and the selection was always thoughtful, there was plenty of food and snacks to make all the meals, even on days off. I think this stay suits fairly independent and resourceful people, who enjoy being social while also spending time alone. I couldn’t ask for a better first workaway experience, and I am very grateful to Ove and Emma!

Henrik stayed with us for four weeks over the summer, and it was a real pleasure having him here. He fit in effortlessly with our family and the other Workawayers, bringing a positive attitude, curiosity, and a great sense of humour. He worked hard on a range of projects, including gardening and helping to build a small cabin, showing great attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Henrik was independent, reliable, and respectful, and we really enjoyed his company during meals and evenings together. We’re very grateful for everything he contributed and would welcome him back anytime.

I spent three weeks at Jing and Anatole’s home, and I’m really glad I chose this place for my Workaway experience!!! My main task was painting in preparation for the summer. The work was very easy, and they explained everything carefully step by step, which made it comfortable and enjoyable!! Their house is close to Château de Chenonceau, and I went for walks there almost every day. On my days off, they also took me to nearby—and sometimes even a bit farther—castles and sightseeing spots!! Jing and Anatole were always thoughtful and caring, and thanks to them I was able to enjoy every single day!! Another wonderful memory is playing board games every night with their two lovely sons!! I truly think this is a perfect place for anyone who wants to create beautiful memories in a special location!!!

I stayed at Steven and Nelly’s house for three weeks, and every single memory I made there is truly wonderful!!! I was never bored at their home!! Whenever we had free time, we baked sweets, played board games, and took lovely walks with their dog in the beautiful nature of Brittany!! Of course, they always respected my personal time and let me relax whenever I wanted!! Every day, we talked about everything—from fun little daily moments to deep and meaningful conversations!! The tasks I helped with were different each day, but everything was within what I could comfortably do!! I’m so glad I chose this place as my very first Workaway experience!! I will definitely come back again!!!

I loved staying with Jane and Spen! They are kind and welcoming people, they have a beautiful property, and the best separate cottage for workawayers to stay. I worked in the garden, helped with some house chores, we shared delicious dinners together, and I was invited to the beach, on gorgeous walks, and got to see a lot of the area.

Erica is one special person and I hope my feedback does her justice. She came for one month and quickly became a part of our family bringing great joy and real kindness into our home. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye. No job was too big for Erica. She was enthusiastic and keen to learn and tried her hand at a variety of jobs including cleaning in our home, cooking (her tiramisu and banana bread were delicious), gardening and building. She is quick to learn, she is curious and she is smart. I can't imagine a job that she couldn't tackle. She works well in a team and when we had two other Workaways join us, she showed her leadership skills leading the team with kindness and direction. She joined us for weekly parkrun events and was enthusiastic in everything she did. We can't recommend her enough. She was pure joy to have in our home and we miss her.

I spent two weeks in the village. Vanya was very kind, helpful and excited to show me her life in the countryside. I learned a lot about gardening, had some of the best homemade foods and met the friendliest pets ever. I totally recommend Vanya as a hostess. Благодаря много! :-)
