    Description

Amanda (half French) language teacher and entrepreneur, moved back to the Gers to an old farmhouse near Jegun almost 11 years ago. End of track situation amongst rolling hills. 3.5 hectares. 2 dogs, 3 cats, 3 horses - Arab, Lippizaner horse and 'BugBug' the Shetland

I live in the main house and the other end of the long farmhouse is an independent 3 bedroom 2 bathroom holiday home. I always need help with small decorating jobs, tidying, spring cleaning in the house, and outside always lots of trimming/cutting down/strimming trees & shrubs. Weeding flower beds, and lts of small maintenance jobs.

For someone with good woodwork skills, there are a couple of fun projects!

Plus always tidying up huge old barns. It's a peaceful situation with fabulous views of Pyrenees (1.5 hours away) . I have a swimming pool that's open May-Oct.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

Out of season I offer luxury holiday accommodation next to the house where there are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. I love having couples who are self contained and who enjoy our place. I give money for food, the system works well. It's also better for our Workaways to have their own transport since it's
    quite a walk to Jegun.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

Auch 17 mins by car buses available in Jegun (7 mins away by car) . Toulouse is 1 hour by car, trains from Auch. I can take volunteers to bus stop/train station. Jegun is a friendly village with a bar ( is also an irish pub!), restaurant, Casino supermarket. Vic Fezensac is 15 minutes by car.

Ideal for country lovers, but for weekends lots of culture & city life in Auch & Toulouse if wanted. Beautiful for walking/cycling. Local chateaux etc for culture vultures. Little local concerts most weekends in villages.

I am very friendly, but equally respect that volunteers (and me) need 'me-time'. I am used to receiving foreign students for language courses and exchanging cultural ideas/cooking etc
