My partner Seb and I had the best possible experience with Elspeth and Kim back in Feb, we couldn't have asked for better hosts! The living situation was cosy and comfortable, the food (especially what was grown in the garden) was plentiful and delicious, the work was always accommodating and we learnt lots along the way. Elspeth and Kim are very kind lovely people and we 100% recommend this Workaway to anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful time. Thank you Elspeth & Kim!

Although Bertrand stayed with me for less than two weeks, I could quickly see how diligent and experienced he is in various types of work. We worked together on laying weed mats and doing cement work, and it was clear he had the kind of know-how that only comes from real experience. It was both comfortable and enjoyable to work by his side. Beyond joining my Kouksundo classes, he maintained his own morning exercise routine to stay fit. With his wealth of practical skills and great attitude, he will be a wonderful asset to any host.

Lahcen Bounda has a bright, cheerful personality and a real passion for exploring new cultures. I could truly feel that he was doing his absolute best to help me in every way. With his background and skills as an engineer, he was a huge help in renovating my Kouksundo (traditional Korean mind-body training) studio and maintaining my father’s house. I highly recommend him!

What a great guest and helper Elizabeth has been! Apart from being a super chill person she is also very proactive and independent. She knew exactly what needed to be done in the garden or in the house without me even telling her, which I really appreciated because she came at a particular busy period for me. She also knew how to keep herself entertained during times off, went on many hikes and read a lot of books. Last but not least she is a creative cook who showed me you can make a tasty and healthy meal with whatever is available. We also had interesting conversations over dinner (her Spanish is awesome) and she really made the place feel more like a home by improving illumination, etc. I’m very thankful for all her help and friendly, cooperative attitude, and I wish her all the best in her future adventures!

Jerome and Aurelia were amazing guests, they brought the vibes and fun, music and chill conversations. They worked hard on the task and finished it quickly and to a high standard. Thanks so much and happy travels!! Maybe I will come to workaway with you one day 😁

Has been a nice week at Mike's! Mike welcomed me easily even if I contacted him close to my arrival. He's gentle funny and knows a lot of things, so it's been a great chance to know about new Zealand and its environment. The tasks were well explained and I enjoyed working also because of the other volunteers there. Can't forget Mike is a great cook and enjoying his homemade meals was the evening highlight! Thank you Mike for everything!

Mon séjour chez Chan m'a réellement enchanté. Chan est une personne attentive, intéressante et à l'esprit très ouvert. Il a un grand respect pour ses invités qu'il soigné vraiment avec une grande attention. Très bien logé, nourri avec abondance et des spécialistés culinaires coréennes que j' ai beaucoup apprécié. Le travail était tout à fait à la portée de tous et ni compliqué ni fatigant.De plus Chan m'a fait découvrir ce qui compte le plus pour lui. Je veux parler bien sûr du Kunksundo dans le quel il se sent vraiment heureux. Je tiens à le remercier sincèrement de m'avoir fait découvrir cet aspect culturel typiquement Coréen. Je vais mettre tout en oeuvre pour trouver le moyen de le pratiquer en France. Encore merci mille fois Chan pour ton hospitalité et ta sympathie et aussipour cette expérience, certes brève, mais si enrichissante pour moi.

Dear Caterina, Having you with our family and at our school has been a truly beautiful and memorable experience for all of us. From the very beginning, your dedication, sincerity, and the genuine love you showed towards the children were so evident. You brought such a calm, positive, and caring energy, and it made a big difference in the way the children felt and learned around you. The kids absolutely adored you. The way you connected with them, understood their little emotions, and made them feel comfortable and happy was really special. It’s not something everyone can do so naturally, but you did it with so much ease and warmth. We are especially grateful for all the effort and patience you put into teaching skating to my younger daughter. You didn’t just teach her a skill—you gave her confidence, encouragement, and joy. She looked forward to every moment with you. The bond she formed with you was so strong that when you left, she was truly heartbroken and even cried. As a parent, that says so much about the love and trust you built with her. Thank you for being so responsible, kind, and committed throughout your time here. You went beyond just volunteering—you became a part of our daily lives and left behind so many happy memories for the children. We feel very grateful to have had you with us, even if it was for a short time. You will always be remembered with so much warmth and appreciation in our home and at the school. I volunteered for two weeks and had a really great time. Georgetown is a very welcoming place. The hostel is very well organized, and the tasks are clear and practical. the staff and the volunteers are very kind. There’s a great kitchen and a terrace to enjoy, and they organize really fun activities like open mic nights and movie. screenings.

We had the most wonderful and memorable time in the chakra's of Tinco. For 2,5 weeks we were surrounded by so much warmth and enthusiasm from Dionny and her children Alan and Dionny. We had the most fun during the work in the Choclo fields. Dionny leading by example and distributing satisfying tasks for our team of volunteers. The rhythm of days really allowed us to get to know one another and become involved with each other. As a host they were very flexible, caring and accompanying. On top, the opportunity to meet Dionny as a person was the greatest blessing. We shared so many enjoyable moments with her, and together with the team of affectionate volunteers. Meals were special, by means of structural moments of coming together. They were also prepared together, lead by master chef Dionny, so that we were able to learn and master some delicious Peruvian recipes. Some trips in the area, to Carhuaz or the beautiful mountains, ensured moments of cultural exchange and enjoying the nature in the region. And we should not forget to mention the most flamboyante mascota, Valentina. What a delight. All in all were have been very grateful to have called Dionny's house our home for 2,5 weeks. I was lucky enough to host Mia and her best friend Lis for around 5 days. We had a huge gardening job to do and both girls worked consistently and diligently, as we made our way from the top to the bottom of the property (over several days). They did a really thorough job and I was very pleased with the result. On the last day we did a deep clean on the house, which again they did very thoroughly. As guests they were both good-natured and cheerful. They quickly made good friends with my other Workaway guest and the three of them took every opportunity to explore the area, quite often independently. As a pair they get along really well and I can highly recommend them as a valuable addition to your next project.

Simone is the guy with positive attitude, cheerful, plenty of experience and independent which is suitable to our campsite. He bring positive vibes to the campsite, know what to do and finding stuff at the campsite. He's easy going and can mingle with other volunteers at the campsite well so that all of of them have a positive vibes and good teamwork to do task. (He's already informing to come for the second time on April :)

I stayed with Shannon and Jeff for 3 month and I had a great and fun time. Shannon and Jeff are very welcoming and they do their best to make you feel home. Very generous people. I'm very greatful I was able to spend such a long time at their farm . Thanks Shannon and Jeff for everything!! I stayed with Peter and Mayu for around 3 months over the winter, working for their business doing snow clearing and housekeeping for local properties. The experience was incredible and so much better than i could have imagined, they were both so thoughtful, always checking in on each workawayer and making sure they were comfortable and well looked after. We had a great balance between work and free time, always being offered fun things to do in the area and Mayu would often cook up a storm for everyone to have a delicious meal together. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxed place to stay and work with two incredibly thoughtful, generous people.

My time there was rich in presence, respect, kindness and care. I appreciate the element of faith within the space, without it ever being forced on anyone. The work/tasks are very reasonable and fair. The energy is clean and good. Stefano is a wonderful host. He is thoughtful, considerate and can stir up some laughs. I respect all that he's done there because it's indeed a lot and am very grateful to him for my time there and our friendship. The place is a space for you to have space for yourself, and/while nourishing through sharing space with others (if they happen to be there). In terms of the area/location, there are multiple paths to explore by foot right around the house; perfect for walking or running. The chapel is a place for peace and self- great for prayer, meditation, yoga, etc. There is a train station in the nearby town that can bring you to Rome within 45 minutes. It's an unforgettable place with wonderful people. If this place speaks to you it's absolutely worth reaching out.

Best workawayers ever! Seriously, we really think that Maxime and Cassandra are the best volunteers we’ve ever had. Not only they work very hard, they also have an incredible energy. Very friendly, kind, energetic, fun people! They helped us so much with whatever had to be done and besides that we had a lot of fun with them. We truly miss them! Wishing you all the best ❤️

Rosita y Finlay, una pareja espectacular! Rosita, una chica muy atenta y amorosa, siempre con una gran sonrisa y dispuesta ayudar en todo. Finlay, un chico tranquilo y que trabajo muy duro en el campo, es muy conversador y flexible. Es una pareja muy chevre y relajada Son lo mejor!

I stayed for 1 week with Gordon and Marion. What a lovely couple. Marion is so loving and caring and Gordon warm in his own way. I had a nice apartment all for my self where I could cook, but Marion made such a lovely lunch every day. I worked in the garden, and I think that we all were very happy about the result. The island is beautiful and really worth visiting. Thank you so much for a great time.

Thomas un chico muy amoroso y atento, y nos ayudó muchísimo,se quedo más de dos semanas con nosotros con Luka y sus demás Amigos de Holanda. Thomas cocino todos los días el desayuno. There was great communication and organization from the host and the team. There was a good positive atmosphere. The work was fulfilling. We were able to join any of the organized events which helped us to see Georgetown and get to know other people quickly. It's a great hostel and a fantastic host and team. Highly recommend
