Hi my name is Andreas, and I am a worldtraveller myself who is in the process of creating a small paradise garden in my home town. It is located almost next to the fairytale castle Frederiksborg in Hillerød. I do not live in my garden, but I have two tiny houses on the lot, where I sometimes sleep.
I am a pianist and singer and make a living from playing concerts many different places (except at the moment because of Corona). I also write my own music. Most of the concerts I play are with a friend of mine who is also a singer, and we have toured in 10 different countries playing feel-good pop, and I also have a lot of classical concerts with other musicians like flute players and violinists.
I love to welcome new visitors and make them feel welcome, which includes making food together, bonfire in the forest, bicycling, going to the beach etc.
I live in Hillerød, but 10 minutes drive away from the garden. My apartment is also nice, and that is where I have my piano and where I usually host people.

Help with Eco Projects
Of course you will not work alone, we will help each other, and I will share all my knowledge about gardening, cooking and building with you. There will both be times of working and times of relaxing. After all the garden is one of the most amazing places I know, and I often go there to get inspiration and to listen to the birds. Even though it is located very central in the city, you feel like you are in an almost secret and different world there.
We can also do language exchange or play some music together.
Please note that I get requests almost every day, so unfortunately I cannot say yes to you all. But if you tell me as exactly as possible which of my projects you feel experienced in, there is a greater chance we can make a deal. 😉
I have owned a garden in the middle of Hillerød next to Frederiksborg Castle for 9 years, and I have turned it from being useless to being a beautiful oasis with trees, bushes, crops, flowers and wildlife. There is a creek running through my garden, and this year I have begun planting plants along the banks and landscaping that area too. There is still a lot to be done there, like laying bricks as walkways to to the water. And removing some weeds - also inside the water.
I have built two very small houses on the land and also a wooden deck and tiled terrace. But I am not finished with all these projects and I need to paint the houses soon, both outside and inside. Also I am in the process of building an outdoor kitchen.
Then of course there is the garden itself - like working the soil and sowing seeds and laying potatoes etc. so I can have a harvest later.
Let me try write a list of all the projects and types of help I could useYou:
- Sowing, planting, watering
- Sawing and chopping firewood
- Moving heavy rocks and tiles
- Painting my tiny houses
- Building shelves in my shed and creating good systems for my tools
- Laying tiles on the terrace and bricks on some walkways
- Creating an outdoor shower
- Building an outdoor kitchen, which also includes cutting marble plates
- Driving around with me picking up materials for building and landscaping
- Having "hygge" around the bonfire or eating grilled food together

I have two beds in my apartment and I also have two beds in my garden houses, so it should not be difficult to host you. My idea is to have you for one-two weeks or so. It may not be ideal to stay longer. In my apartment you would be staying on a bed in my living room, so I cannot really provide you with your own room. In my garden you can also sleep, but some things are not finished there to make it a comfortable place to stay for an extended period. That is exactly why I need some help - to create this.
I share food with you, and being as I am a fitness lover I always have a lot of it! ;-)
Frederiksborg Castle is the main tourist attraction of the area, but the some of the best things about the area are the forests that surround the city and possibilities of going bicycling in nature, or taking the car or train to the beaches. Also nearby is Louisiana - one of the most famous modern art museums in Denmark. I can get you in for free there if you are interested.
My everyday life consists of practicing music with different musicians. We either do that at home or at their home. Most of the time I spend with the singer I work with. He lives in Humlebæk, where the Louisiana museum is. So I can of course also take you with me when I drive places. At the moment I don't have any concerts because of Corona, so half of my time I spend in my garden anyway...
