    Description

We live on beautiful Stradbroke Island. A paradise just near Brisbane. It has great public transport on the Island and is perfect for swimming and surfing. We are an older couple, young at heart.

PLEASE read before messaging and planning to come and stay!

Our home and Island are a great opportunity to visit and explore Stradbroke Island but there are a few requirements that we have for you to come stay and work in our home.

-as we are located on an island, you will need to take a water taxi to the Island, and this is available for a car as well. If you plan to bring a car, plan as the ferries get booked quickly

-we do expect quiet and responsible guests, this is not a place to party.

-many tasks involve tools and various gardening equipment, you need a knowledge or how to use and operate various tools, weed wacker, mowers, drills, etc.

-we prefer if you can lift a reasonable weight, such as boxes, bags of soil etc.

-we would like a 2-week trial run and if everything goes well then, we would prefer a month minimum stay, nothing less. If everything goes ok, you have the option to stay for a month or maybe more.

-we prefer not to cook, so buying food and meals would be your responsibility. We have a fully functional kitchen for you to use and cook in.

fluent English is a requirement, you need to be able to speak and understand English with a high degree of certainty

Dramatic clouds hover above a rugged coastline, waves crash on sandy shorelines, tropical trees frame the scene, blending the wild ocean with lush greenery.
A blue-tongue lizard rests on a weathered patio next to a wooden barrel, black jug, and some scattered objects in an outdoor setting.
Waves crash against a rocky coastal cliff under a dramatic cloudy sky. Sunlight breaks through, highlighting a faint rainbow over the horizon, creating a serene atmosphere.
A serene beach at sunset, gentle waves washing ashore. Dramatic clouds, golden and blue light reflect on wet sand, creating a peaceful, picturesque, and tranquil coastal scene.
