Ayami and Rinko are both super respectful, friendly and warm-hearted women. They helped us with household tasks like cleaning, ironing and cooking for themselves as we were out a lot in that week they stayed with us. Also it was a good support to have them with us helping on our renovation project in our apartment in the Allgäu mountains. They both are spreading out good vibes and are 100% reliable! Always welcome back!

Annie is a nice young woman, very quiet and respectful. We enjoyed having Annika stay with us on her travels throughout Australia. We shared Christmas and New Year, a highlight for us being Annie’s 2026 predictions with melted candle wax. We wish her the best with the rest of her travels and we know she will give each volunteer role her best effort.

The fee is not profit oriented and is meant to cover our cost only. As the overall quality of service increased, so did the fee. This was communicated in advance and agreed to by you. Questioning this arrangement at the time of payment was surprising and weird to us. Other then that they did work well and dedicated.

I had an absolutely great time in Jan Juc and couldn’t have imagined a better place to spend this summer. From the very first day, I felt genuinely welcomed and truly part of the family. Kate and Leigh are wonderful, open-hearted parents who create a relaxed, respectful environment. Everything was always well organised and fair, while still feeling easygoing and warm. Remy and Theo are two fantastic boys — curious, active, funny, and incredibly kind. Whether we were surfing, building marble runs, drawing, or watching movies together, there was always variety and never a dull moment. They are very independent, open, and easy to connect with. Maggie the dog is an absolute sweetheart too. Friendly, affectionate, and the perfect companion for walks around Jan Juc. The accommodation was also great: a newly built, fully self-contained unit with everything you need. It offered great privacy while still making it easy to feel part of family life whenever I wanted. Shared meals, beach days, surf sessions, and learning about Australian culture (including pies and fighting kangaroos) made my stay incredibly enriching. At the same time, I always had the freedom to plan my own adventures. I’m very grateful for this experience and can wholeheartedly recommend this family. If you’re looking for a time filled with ocean time, ease, nature, fun, and genuine connection, this is the perfect place. 💛🌊

My first official Workaway experience, and my first time traveling alone so far from home. What can I say? Thank you for welcoming me to this magical, peaceful place. Thank you for helping me with any needs or requirements. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get close to Thai culture and try such delicious dishes. This Workaway is a real luxury! And then, what can I say about Ren, a sweet and energetic little boy! Playing with him is a joy. He already speaks English well, and it was great to learn some Thai words from him. Unforgettable moments, thank you again for being my first safe haven in this life experience. 💕

We stayed at Nicoles rural farm for 12 days and are so thankful for a truly inspiring experience! We mainly helped feeding and cleaning the animals, went for walks with the dogs in the countryside around the farm ( especially beautiful in the morning) and renovated ( cleaning, painting, laying carpet) an old caravan. Our seven year old son enjoyed playing with Nicoles lovely daughter and the children from the Bushman family who is also living on the property. He was also very happy about the close contact to all those special animals Nicole gives a home on her farm. We were amazed by all the time and effort Nicole puts into her social projects and are thankful for the knowledge about Namibia and its indigenous inhabitants she shared with us. We wish Nicole and Juli all the best and hope to meet again in the future!

I spent two weeks at this Workaway with my host, Uni's, and it was a very positive experience. During my stay, I was able to help with the agreed-upon tasks, and there was always good communication; the day gradually came together. The atmosphere was pleasant and respectful, which made the work manageable and enjoyable. One of the best aspects was being able to share and enjoy conversations with Uni's, learn from her, and discover different points of view and cultures. Overall, it was an enriching experience both personally and culturally, which I recommend to future volunteers looking to learn, help, and live in a good environment. I think the weather will be excellent in the spring. It's a bit far from the city, so if you like silence, it's perfect for you. I visited a temple that's about a kilometer from the house; after that, it's all a large forest. Thank you so much for everything.

We stayed two weeks and enjoyed it a lot. Our tasks involved weeding, planting seeds, cleaning as well as digging holes and making the foundation for a new building. Working times were very flexible and we didn't feel any pressure to work beyond our limits. We had the chance to help Aakanksha and Tushar with cooking, sharing delicious traditional meals together and learning about Maharashtrian/UP cuisine and culture. Time passed by very quickly as Tushar and Aakanksha also took us on different outings, like going to a cinema or morning runs and we were also invited to take part in a village festival for Sankranti. That was absolutely amazing and we felt very welcomed. In our free time we also enjoyed playing chess with the family members, including their lovely son Rahi and exploring some villages around the farm. Thank you a lot for this great experience and all the best for your further projects!

Thank you Sanjay for the two amazing weeks that we spent in November. The tasks were very diverse: Collecting seeds, transplanting, watering, participating in videos for the YouTube channel, harvesting apples, taking care of younger trees and processing some farm products. We experienced an amazing hospitality. Sometimes it even felt like staying in a hotel, as Vikram and the other employees prepared delicious food for us three times a day, the accomodation was very comfy and the property very beautiful. On one of our free days we had the chance to hike up up to Hatu Peak and enjoy the view of the snow capped mountains. We will also remember the table tennis matches with Sanjay, the interesting stories he shared with us and the flow festival organised by Akshita that took place during our stay. We got the chance to participate in some of the festival's yoga and martial arts workshops which we are very greatful for. Thank you a lot for the shared time and that you also made sure that we had a great time in Shimla after our workaway.

This was probably our favorite WorkAway so far! We spend 9 days in Tuy Hoa, and the time flew. There are loads of small nice, creative projects that we worked on including some DIY and photography. Vaidas is a great host. Energetic but at the same time chill and laidback. He is extremely hospitable in opening up his house, and integrating you in the daily routines. Over the course of 9 days we met so many nice and interesting people. Almost every day they organize activities such as Vietnamese lessons, meditation classes and board-game-nights which you're free to join. We loved it here! Thanks again Vaidas!

Mitch was fantastic! Really lovely guy, very comfortable to be with, respectful and it was a pleasure to have him join our household for the time he was with us. Great with kids too. Mitch's work ethic and efforts were excellent. He was extremely trustworthy, dedicated and put in great care and attention to the work he was doing. He was fast and efficient, and we appreciated that he used his own sense of achievement to complete tasks to a great standard. We would happily recommend Mitch highly to any potential hosts and would welcome him back anytime. Wishing Mitch all the very best with his future travels and endeavours.

We had a great couple of days staying over at Anna's place. She is a kind person. Born and raised on Phu Quoc so she knows a lot about the island. The work we had to do was super light. She only asked us to come with her on one evening to visit Duong Dong together, to take some nice photos and (drone) videos together, which she could use for promotional ends. Other than that, we were free to spend our time as we pleased. We can think of only one downside; and that was that quite shortly before our arrival, Anna had to reduce our 10-days-stay which we agreed on, to only four days. This was due to other unexpected bookings. Therefore we weren't staying in Anna's guesthouse, but just at her place. Nevertheless, we are very grateful for Anna's hospitality. It was a great first introduction to Vietnam and Phu Quoc for us!

The result of any their job was wonderful every time. They were very accurate and neat at home, interesting and demonstrated great sense of humor in our conversations. They are people, whom you don't say goodbye. Hope, they will come back in one day. We wish Valdemar and Caroline the best.

Holly volunteered with us for 7 weeks in our pre-school with young children as well as with our “Hospital at your door” medical team. As an experienced nurse Holly is very committed towards patient care and health and wellbeing. Holly made illustrative medical posters which will be helpful for our “Hospital at your door service” medical team. Holly actively engaged in our prosthetics limbs camp in Nadiad helped to register patients, she visited local primary healthcare centre to learn more about government health and wellbeing services. Holly made a huge contribution to our pre-school children by teaching English grammar and communication technics. In the secondary school teaching nursing subjects, mental health and wellbeing and first aid. Holly took her own initiative and set up sessions in the care home for the elders focusing on various exercises, yoga to help with their mobility and breathing technics. I stayed here for two months. It's surrounded by mountains and is a relaxing place. The owner always cares about what I want to do. He's busy sometimes and isn't here, but the hostel staff is always there to help, so I rarely have any problems. The Indonesian food is also delicious. Borobudur Temple can be reached by motorbike or bicycle. It's the rainy season, so there's very little work, and the hostel owner is very kind. Teaching English at a local school was a valuable experience. I also climbed a mountain. The Indonesians are all smiling and warm. The guests at this hostel are also very nice. I especially recommend it to nature lovers.

They are very warm and kind hosts. Although they are still young, I felt that they have a great sense for management and are very smart. Occasionally, we enjoyed meals with their friends and went to the beach together. They are fun, friendly, and make you feel right at home. The hotel work is busy during the on-season in summer and autumn, but it is relatively quiet during the winter off-season. The hotel is surrounded by a small forest, and you can sometimes see wild animals such as deer, squirrels, and rabbits in the garden. The surrounding area is very convenient. It’s about a 10-minute walk to a convenience store and a small supermarket. Since it’s fairly close to the coast, there are several beaches and scuba diving spots that you can easily reach by car. At work, you will be entrusted with several responsibilities, so if you work here, you need to complete your daily tasks properly. Doing so helps build good relationships with the hosts and other staff members. Please enjoy their hotel and your time in Izu!

That's quite last review because the one I made was no show on and I just found out 😁. Silvía and Stephan was sharing Iceland lifestyle with me even though they were super busy.(Imagine you have full time jobs and five kids) Silvia talked me local hot tub places and some hiking trails. Stephan cooked traditional Icelander meals soup and it was delicious. Also showed me how Iceland football training style. That explored my brain. The main work is laundry and keep house tidy. Those always done before afternoon and I have changed to explore. Location is very close to beach and walkable to town center. I did day trip during my day off. Thank you so much Silvía and Stephan.
