It was Pascal's first volunteering experience. What a great pleasure to have him with us. At the end he stayed 4 weeks helping us and living with us. He was so well integrated he was part of the family. Our doors will always be open for him. Thank you so much

Querida Carmen, querido Daniel: Antes que nada, queremos agradecerles por su cálida bienvenida. Pasamos 3 semanas maravillosas descubriendo la riqueza de su finca. ¡Muchas gracias a Daniel por compartir con nosotros sus conocimientos en agricultura y por haber participado en el sistema sintrópico! Aprendimos muchísimo contigo sobre el cacao, el café, los plátanos, las yucas y todas las plantas y árboles que no conocíamos antes de llegar a la finca. Carmen, gracias por tu sonrisa de todos los días, tu buen humor y tu cocina increíble (vamos a tener que caminar mucho para perder los kilos que ganamos aquí 😄). Guardaremos un recuerdo excelente de nuestro día juntos cocinando de 6 a 18 para el mercado del sábado. Muchas gracias a los dos por habernos abierto las puertas de su hogar, por compartir con nosotros todos sus conocimientos, su día a día y la verdadera vida en el campo. Es nuestra última noche juntos alrededor del juego de “l’alse”, ¡esperando que por fin logren ganar una partida (o no) jajaja! Un abrazo desde Francia !

Marie and Christiano were the most chill and kind people, im really thankful for the abundance of nature, quiet and homey feeling, for the fireplace and guitar, sitting together for dinner, walking around little rosario with the dogs and the horse, inventing new dishes in the kitchen from the vegetable garden. I miss it already, hope to see you soon!

Hallo ihr Lieben, ich bin Frederic. Ich komme aus Deutschland, und war vom 16.02 bis 09.03.2026 bei Nadja Robert und Kylian zu Besuch. Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, wann ich das letzte Mal so eine gute Zeit verbracht habe. Neben mir waren noch drei weitere freiwillige zu Gast Paola Isen und Pascal jeder für sich einzigartig wundervolle Menschen. Das Essen war unglaublich selten so gut gegessen wie bei euch. Diese drei Wochen haben mir gezeigt, wie schön, wie wertvoll und erfüllend ein Leben in Gemeinschaft sein kann, wenn man mit dem Herzen dabei ist. Es war eine der schönsten und wertvollsten Erfahrungen die ich in meinem Leben machen durfte. Dafür danke ich euch von ganzem Herzen.

J'ai passé une très belle semaine hors du temps, au côté de Barbara, Daniel et Amra, une adorable famille Suisse-Allemande-Hongroise au fin fond des bois Franc-Comtois. Leur grande ferme du Haut-Doubs est splendide avec les champs et la forêt autour. Un cheval et un poney d'une voisine viennent parfois y manger l'herbe juste à côté. Il y a aussi des poules à la retraite et 3 chats qui font leur vie. Je logeais dans la mezzanine en haut du salon-cuisine où un joli poêle à bois chauffe la pièce. C'était très agréable. Barbara et Daniel logent plutôt dans leur roulotte cocooning, à côté de la ferme. Ils étaient toujours très attentifs à ce que je sois confortable tout en respectant l'indépendance de chacun. J'emmenais leur fille Amra à l'école le matin, allait parfois la rechercher et j'ai pu aider à éclaircir les fraises avec Daniel. On a aussi fait une grande balade avec Barbara dans le beau village de Belleherbe et c'était vraiment très cool. Pendant mon séjour j'ai adoré nos discussions, vivre dans cette ancienne maison très naturelle, gratouiller le jardin comme un instant méditatif et m'amuser avec la magique Amra ! Nous gardons contact, j'aurai plaisir à revenir les voir. Je vous recommande vraiment ce workaway !

Emanuel is respectful, reliable, and serious. He lovingly cared for my dog ​​and cats, did various jobs in the garden, and fixed many things around the house. Always available to help in any area. He stayed in my house alone for about a month, you can trust him.

We spent two weeks with Peter and his family. We highly recommend this Work Away experience and we will keep a great memory of our stay in Lak Sao. Peter will make everything for you to feel welcome and at ease in his house. We shared lunch and diner with the family (breakfast not included). Peter's wife, Ha, was cooking for everyone and she is an excellent cook. Get ready however to eat rice and noodles a lot, if you are rice lovers like us, you should be fine. We had to do the dishes, which seemed pretty fair as we didn't have to cook. We were asked to be ready at 3:15 pm to install the class (sweep and take down the benches). Classes were from 4:30 to 5:30 pm and then from 6:30 to 8:00 pm every day of the week. We took in charge the whole class, but we had assistants helping us translate and make sure everything went smoothly. Peter gave us a specific lesson or a little text to work on and then we were very autonomous on how to teach, which allowed us to be very creative in our teaching. Peter was however always here to help if necessary and he always made his best for us to feel comfortable in the class. Peter's kids and the students were lovely, we had a great connection with them, they were all curious and willing to learn. We slept in a room with a double bed, a mosquito net, a table and 2 chairs. We really loved our stay there and anyone who crosses the path of this wonderful project and family is lucky! Thank you again Peter for everything and long live your school!!!

Thank you to the family for inviting me to their beautiful home. I had my own private room and bathroom. They made me feel right at home. Plus, I had every morning free to enjoy myself, and in the afternoon I had a delicious homemade lunch with the whole family. Always good, and you really feel at home. The children are adorable. I could spend a lot of time with them, playing with them, going to football matches, all while speaking English. I stayed longer for that reason. Keep in mind that you need to be fairly independent and not too organized, as the family lives in the moment. If you're looking for a place with structure, this might be a problem, but if you like being spontaneous without much communication and are comfortable with that, you'll have a wonderful time and you'll definitely come back.

Sandra is a super workawayer! A 5🌟 guest and person all round. We welcomed Sandra into our home and she was incredible. She's not just a wonderful woman but an extremely hard worker. She helped enormously in our gardens and with our vines. Even putting her hand to work on some painting inside the house too. She used her initiative and was constantly proactive. We very much enjoyed our conversations with her and time together. My children took to Sandra and really miss her as do we. Sandra is respectful, clean and tidy and she would be welcome back anytime. I'd highly recommend her for workaway. Thank you Sandra and please come back and visit!

We had the best week with Barbara and Jude! the property is absolutely beautiful, a real paradise full of wildlife, adorable wallabies and colourful birds. Barb and Jude are both incredibly welcoming and lovely, and Barb really helped us out when we needed it. We felt at home straight away. The main tasks involved gardening like mowing and clearing grass/ weeds, which we really enjoyed. Workawayers have a very comfortable room with everything you need (including a balcony!) which is the perfect way to unwind after the day. Thanks so much! :)

I stayed at Kai's beautiful guest house for two weeks during the March period. I was involved in several activities: planting, stone wall making, painting a beautiful vintage furniture, making a mosaic, collecting woods, sanding, weeding and taking basic care of the hens and sheeps. I really enjoyed the variety of the tasks and I learned a lot of things during these days. Kai was always ready to support and guide with the next steps of each task. He has a lot of knowledge and he was always willing to share it and explain the reasons why he followes specific techniques/steps in his work. Kai and Lea are very kind, reliable and thoughtful. They made sure that we feel comfortable and that we enjoy our stay there. The guest house was very comfortable and cozy. Kai and Lea are great cooks and we were having extremely delicious food every single day. The house is located between the mountains with one of the most stunning views I have ever seen! I was also positively superprised to see how many beautiful places there are to visit around the area! There are plenty of cute towns, forests, mountains, rivers, lakes and the sea. To explore the area is better to have your own transport, as the buses are very few during the day. However, you can still visit some towns and rivers by bus or even by walk! In the guest house there is a big living room where you can enjoy your time with other volunteers and a big garden with a hammock. There are also board games, badminton rackets and a huge collection of interesting books. I am so grateful I had the chance to visit Kai and Lea. Big thanks to both of you for the hospitality, trust and kindness. I hope that one day I will visit again!

Kristína and Lukáš are a great couple, punctual, diligent and keen to get whatever task you give them done to the best of their abilities. There are a total pleasure to have around and one of the best couples we have hosted. They have some life experience in a work environment which helps . I would highly recommend this great couple.

It was a pleasure to host Ralph. Thanks for company, and the large amount of work in autonomy, cleaning our little forest, painting the doors and scales perfectly, cleaning our summer terrasse full.of leaves, with precision, taking some nice initiatives . I had pleasure to see our very old house improved . Bon voyage Ralph! Et merci!

J'ai passé trois semaines splendides chez Martine et Jean (du 9 mars au 1er avril) dans le sud de l'Alsace. C'était, tout simplement, une expérience parfaite! ​Martine est une hôtesse très accueillante, attentionnée et une excellente communicatrice. Je me permets de l'appeler une "reine du jardinage", mais c'est aussi une personne qui aime la nature, l'art et la mode — elle a le sens du style et la conscience climatique en même temps. ​Jean est un vrai connaisseur dans plusieurs domaines et il n'hésite pas à partager son savoir. Si vous avez la chance d'être présent un jour où il cuisine, c'est une véritable journée gastronomique. ​La maison est mignonne mais grande, et il y a plein de choses intéressantes à faire. L'ambiance est très calme et amicale. Le son de la cloche chante tout le temps avec les oiseaux — rien de mieux. ​J'ai beaucoup aimé discuter avec mes hôtes et en savoir plus sur l'Alsace. En gros, j'ai passé de très bons moments chez Martine et Jean. Je suis très reconnaissant pour leur hospitalité et leur gentillesse. ​Merci encore pour tout ! ​Je vous souhaite une Happy Easter et un printemps et un été très amusants et joyeux.

Lea was part of our family for just over two weeks in March 2026, and it was a true pleasure having her among us. Her calm and patient nature was invaluable to our family; she always completed requests with diligence and determination. She experimented new games to practice English with the girls, she helped with homework, and she was always available and friendly. She happily eats any food and shared meals with our family. The cultural exchange was excellent, thanks also to her excellent knowledge of Italian, which she understands and speaks perfectly. We hope to see her again soon and will cherish her friendship as a precious treasure.

Dear Jacqueline, thank you very much for the lovely 2 weeks and half I spent on your company. My last workaway, helpx and woofing experiences were in 2018, in several countries, but I never had the opportunity of doing it in France and I enjoyed very much feeling like being in the UK, and above all in a place welcoming all souls opened to connect and care of each others in this beautiful region. I loved spending time outside, having daily routine as well as different tasks in function of the weather, the needs... and being able to share tender moments with Keyloa, Venus and Ciel. Thank you very much for your card, for letting me read Instead, for taking me to visit Emmaus and so many other attentions. I wish you all the best. Take care, with love, mélia.

Amazing helper, she know what to do, when to do it, we where very impressed and want to finish the task at hand no matter what.

This was my first Workaway and I was quite nervous at the beginning, but Billy and Noelle made me feel welcome from day one. They are very kind and patient people, and even though my English is not perfect, I was able to practice a lot with them and felt very comfortable. The work was varied and never too hard: gardening, preparing beds in the polytunnel, replacing compost, aerating the garden, and painting furniture. Also, they always gave very clear instructions make it easier. We worked in the mornings, had a coffee break together, and they always tried to avoid working in the rain. I also had the lovely company of their cats, Bits and Taylor. Billy and Noelle are great storytellers and shared many stories about their Workaway experiences and their lifestyle, which made me feel very comfortable and at home. During the last two weeks, I stayed at Billy’s son’s house, where I helped paint a house across the street. Linda and Barry were incredibly kind, amazing cooks, and always made sure I was comfortable. We shared great dinners and conversations, and I also practiced a lot of English with their three smart kids. They also gave me lifts to Gort so I could travel and visit other places. In summary, I couldn’t be more grateful to have had such amazing hosts for my first Workaway experience. I learned new skills, enjoyed the nature, met wonderful people, and had a really great experience.

as my first workaway experience, it was incredible. the attention, cure, and selfless dedication of all the staff is mindblowing! everyone knows in detail the needs and personality of every single cat and dog, and so much love is given to the animals 💕 the work is hard, especially if there are few volunteers only, but the cats are wonderful and it is worth it. the place is a bit remote so if you're unlucky and the weather is not the best, it might be difficult to explore surroundings, but managers are incredibly organized and can help with drop offs to the train station and metro. finally, the staff are all wonderful people, kind and patient, and I felt incredibly welcomed. I also ended up meeting my cat soulmate and I adopted her, which made the experience even more unforgettable✨ I will go back if I have the chance.

Wonderful couple, super helpful with handy work and cooking. Love to have then come back.
