    Description

We're a family of 6, but our two oldest children live on their own in cities now. We live in a super secluded forest in northern Alberta with no neighbours. With 160 areas of native boreal forest backing crown, we have trails and like to spend time hunting and trapping in the winter, and foraging in the summer. We grow and produce all our own food. I cook and bake delicious and nutritious food every day and we always have fresh raw milk and eggs on hand. We normally have pigs, chickens, and turkeys in the summer, and buy our beef from the cattle farmer down the road. We homeschool, but both of us work outside of the home as well.

I love canoeing/ paddleboarding at the lake and on our big river and hiking in the hills. I enjoy trying new things. As a writer, I am always super curious about people and different perspectives and ideas.

We are mainly looking for someone with carpentry/diy building skills, as we have several projects that need to be finished. We're open beyond that and would absolutely love the opportunity to meet people from all over the world.

We are a homestead in a really remote area of northern Canada. We live in a simple but really rewarding way and have a lot of skills that have been lost in terms of food production and self sufficiency.
