Description
We are Kristína and Lukáš, a couple from Slovakia and Czechia, currently working in Denmark. We are deeply interested in learning real, practical farming skills and building a strong foundation for our future.
We have experience in hospitality, which taught us discipline, teamwork, and responsibility. On farms, we now apply the same mindset to physical and outdoor work.
We dream of one day growing our own ingredients and cooking recipes we’ve collected from all the amazing places and people we meet.
During our recent Workaway stays, we have gained hands-on experience with:
-daily care of goats (feeding, cleaning, handling, maintaining routines – except milking so far);
-basic land maintenance using a strimmer and manual tools;
-beginner-level gardening: planting, watering, soil preparation, and basic maintenance;
-olive picking and orchard work;
-preparing food and helping with daily farm life.
We are independent, reliable workers and we are not afraid of physical tasks. We learned many things by trial and error and self-study, which helped us grow, but also showed us how important good guidance and proper teaching are.
That is why we are now looking for a place where:
-knowledge is shared, not just tasks given;
-we can learn correct techniques and understand why things are done in certain ways;
-we can develop real skills in animal care, gardening, and sustainable farming;
-hosts are willing to mentor and involve us in the process, not only assign work.
We are especially motivated to learn more about:
-working with livestock (goats, cows, sheep);
-milking, health checks, and responsible animal management;
-growing food from seed to harvest;
-soil care, composting, and natural methods;
-practical farm maintenance.
Our strengths:
-hardworking, consistent, and responsible;
-curious and eager to improve;
-comfortable working independently, but happy to follow instructions and learn;
-we value clear structure and respectful communication;
-we have our own car and are flexible.
We are not looking for a “work-and-leave” experience. We want to understand what we are doing, do it well, and carry these skills with us into the future.
If you enjoy teaching, sharing your experience, and working with motivated learners, we would love to be part of your project.
We’re happy to help and put real effort into the tasks we agree on, but we value clear schedules and our personal time. We’re more on the introverted side, so while we enjoy friendly communication and a respectful atmosphere, we don’t thrive in highly social or constantly busy environments. Having space to recharge makes us better helpers.
Thank you for considering us. We’re excited to meet you and support your project in any way we can! -

More details about your skills
We have hands-on experience with goat care (feeding, cleaning, handling, routines – except milking), basic land maintenance using a strimmer, olive picking, and beginner-level gardening (planting, watering, soil preparation). We also helped with daily farm life and meal preparation. Additionaly we are now working on a campsite so cleaning and maintanance are our strong suit. We’re both curious, motivated, and not afraid of hard work. We believe that a good attitude and willingness to learn are just as valuable as experience, and we bring both with us.
We’re both open-minded, independent, and happy to contribute wherever we’re needed,whether it’s in the garden, with animals, or helping around the house.
We love animals, especially cats, but we adore farm animals, and we would be happy to learn how to care for them properly. We value meaningful conversations, new experiences, and connection with locals and the land. -
