    Description

    HOLA CHICOS

We are an intercultural and interracial couple. My wife is an Afro-Colombian from the cost and I am a retired Swiss.

We We do live in the heart of the coffee region EJE CAFETERO in the midst of an overwhelming nature with lots of birds. Our pueblo MARSELLA-RISARALDA is is not so wellknown as the touristic Filandia or Salento, but it is indeed also one of the most beautiful old coffee villages of Colombia. Our Finca is a 7 hectar traditional farm with lots of coffee trees and plantain-shrubs. It is located 1500 meters above sea level and has a therefore a mild climate.

We are converting the finca it in a more natural place with lots of fruit trees, native plants, large completely natural spaces where one can watch birds and other animals, hiking trails, a camping next to a bamboo-forest.
Besides we pursue VARIOUS PROJECTS. We ferment wine and vinegar from our coffee cherries and various fruits, make natural soap without harmful chemicals and artificial colors or perfumes. Carmen makes beautiful UPCYCLING JEWELRY from paper and plastic (see her profile at instagram: tienda_carmochis . We are REALIGNING PLANTINGS by doing more mixed crops with rows of coffee, platano, trees, flowers, yoca, corn, beans, squash. Especially we seek and plant native plants that are already almost forgotten like yacon, sagu, arracacha and mafafa. Also we are experimenting with ELECTRICCULTURE AND MAGNETIC CULTURE.

OUR MAIN FOCUS now is to switch the farm to SYNTROPIC LABORATORY to show that this revolutionary agricultural model works with different crops, especially some native ones that avarage farmer have forgotten to cultivate. We are therefore in the process of building a community to support this project. You can find out more about this revolutionary farming system, which works without fertilizers and toxic pesticides. Ask us for the link.

    YOUR STAY
Of course one can come as well for a shorter period but we would very much welcome someone to accompany and support us for a longer period of time in this exciting transformation process.
    WE TOOK THE RED PILL
The incidents of recent years have shown that nothing is as the politicians and the mainstream-media are telling us. We are therefore neither "Corona's Witness" nor do we want to save the planet or believe in human made climate change. We indulge our plants with the life-giving carbongas without which they they can not grow and prosper. We do not expect solutions from left or right, nor from any religion or philosophy and we give nothing on the mainstream media. Instead we are convinced that something marvelous can grow from a small seed. No stone is too small not to trigger an avalanche.
    BRING ONE WITH YOU.

    Help

WE CURRENTLY NEED HELP IN THESE AREAS: At the moment we need helpers for the coffee harvest. This requires nimble hands. You can also help us in the areas of construction, carpentry, field work, gardening and handicrafts if you have good experience in one of these areas. You could also create a website for us and start crowdfunding for the project. You should bring a laptop with you. ATTENTION: Working on a finca on the steep mountain slopes is strenuous and requires the willingness to work outside in any weather. You need a good rain cover and rubber boots.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

The village is 2 km from our Finca. There is no frequent public transport.
Buses leave every 30 minutes from the village to the City PEREIRA-RISARALDA that has an airport.
There are lots of famous touristic sights in this zone, some are closed to our village.
You will find a lot of very beautiful hiking path nearby which you never will find in common tourist-informations.
House-Rules: Bacause of a serious heavy-metal intoxication I can't stand a permanent sound backdrop. Listening to music is therefore only permitted with headphones. We love the peace and quiet, the sound of the wind and the birds singing. That's why we also don't have a TV here.

    FOOD AND ALLERGIES
We have cats, dogs and chickens.
We can cook vegetarian food if requested.
