Description
HOLAAA
We are an intercultural and interracial couple. My wife is an Afro-Colombian from the cost and I am a retired Swiss.
We We do live in the heart of the coffee region EJE CAFETERO in the midst of an overwhelming nature with lots of birds. Our pueblo MARSELLA-RISARALDA is is not so wellknown as the touristic Filandia or Salento, but it is indeed also one of the most beautiful old coffee villages of Colombia. Our Finca is a 11 cuadras (70’000m2) large traditional coffee farm with lots of coffee trees and plantain-shrubs.its located 1500 meters above sea level.
We are converting the finca it in a more natural place with lots of fruit trees, native plants, large completely natural spaces where one can watch birds and other animals, hiking trails, a camping next to a bamboo-forest.
Besides we pursue VARIOUS PROJECTS. We ferment wine and vinegar from our coffee cherries and oranges, make natural soap without harmful chemicals and artificial colors or perfumes. Carmen makes beautiful UPCYCLING JEWELRY from paper and plastic (see her profile at Instagram: carmenteheran73 . We are REALIGNING PLANTINGS by doing more mixed crops with rows of coffee, platano, trees, flowers, yoca, corn, beans, squash. Especially we seek and plant native plants that are already almost forgotten like Yacon, Sagu, arracacha and mafafa,
now we switch the farm to SYNTROPIC AGRICULTURE and are experimenting with ELECTRIC AND MAGNETIC CULTURE.
Of course one can come as well for a shorter period but we would very much welcome someone to accompany and support us for a longer period of time in this exciting transformation process.
At the moment we need help in Social Media, Graphic, Crowdfunding, Arts and Crafts, Gardenwork
Besides we are looking also for ones that wants to participate in our project and live on the farm as well.
Our mission
The earth turns by itself and the climate changes without us. We are neither "Corona's witnesses" nor do we intend to save the world from the "evil Co2". We indulge our plants with the life-giving carbon without which they they can not grow and prosper. We do not expect solutions from left or right, nor from red or green. Instead we are convinced that something big can grow from a small beginning. No stone is too small not to trigger an avalanche. BRING ONE WITH YOU.Types of help and learning opportunities

The village is 2 km from our Finca. There is no frequent public transport.
Buses leave every 20 minutes from the village to the City PEREIRA-RISARALDA that has an airport.
There are lots of famous touristic sights in this zone, some are closed to our village.
You will find a lot of very beautiful hiking path nearby which you never will find in common tourist-informations.
