Kai (German) is building up an ecological project with a seminar house which is due to open 2021. The main target groups are youths from France, Germany and other countries which are interested in practical learning about organic gardening, handicrafts like woodwork, solar and wind power. We have 2 houses - both are almost finished with the renovation (incl. solar panels for warm water and electricity, house insulation), but some parts are still missing. Our guest house will host ecological seminars beginning next year.
We have a big garden of about 2,5 hectar, with a lot of olive trees and a rather steep terrain with terrasses, but also a marvelous view over the country side and the Esterel mountains which are between St. Raphael and Cannes.
In the vegetable garden you can find about 20 different varieties of vegetables including artichokes, water and honey melons, squashs, tomatoes, beans, peas etc. We have 5 sheep and 5 hens which need to be fed regularly and looked after.
The work consists of help in the vegetable garden, caring for the animals and some renovation or outdoor work.
We host a nature kindergarden on our property and we do gardening or cooking/baking together with the children now and then. We regularly bake our own sourdough bread, we milk two of the sheep and make our own yoghurt with the sheep milk.
