Lanna and Rubi are great. Young, enthusiastic, friendly, and hardworking. Lana is gentle and patient. She great with plants and focused on very small details. Rubi is amazing with carpenter skills, truly talented and knows the technic. Both of them are focused on getting the job done. They were a great help and great addition to our team of volonteers. Try took care of the garden. Watered plants everyday and replanted some seedling. Rubi fixed the bench and help guys to build the all's for a new bungalow. They made a cutlery box and Lana decorated plant pot with mosaic. It was a pleasure to host them. We would recommend them to everyone they applying.

Celeste and Craig were kind and always made sure we were okay. We learned so much about Kiwi lifestyle! especially about food! They are honestly like chefs. Every meal they made for us was amazing. After staying at their house, we really struggled to make our own stomachs happy again🤣 During our stay, it was “sh**ty weather 🙈☔”, but when the sun finally came out, they took us to the beach and organized a beach hamburger night 🍔😋 Such a fun and special memory. They are such a lovely couple truly our ideal couple 🥰 The tasks were simple and clearly explained, so everything was easy and comfortable. We feel very lucky and grateful to have stayed with them 🤍 Already missing your cooking… and of course that muffins too 🥹🥹

This was my FIRST EVER workaway-stay coming from Denmark. I was so exited however with no expectation - I loved the describtion and location (3 hours by bus from Bogota). I arrived and Rodrigo picked me up in Nocaima. All transport was fairly easy, and cheap! Nazareth and Rodrigos place is a wonder of the rainforrest, so different from anything I have seen coming from flat, often natureleft Denmark. I had a bit of a bug and generally animal worry, but Nazareth and Rodrigo were kind and helpful, but there were bugs to get used to😌 The work wasnt too hard at all, and it varied, and after work we loved using the Natural pool. One day we went on a 40 min drive to a waterfall and close by we tried canopying. I learned a lot of spanish and new cooking while being there which I cherrish. I appriciate the whole 2,5 weeks of stay so much! I learned new things about myself, and many beautiful souls. To the october 2025 team in Nocaima - you are forever in my heart<3

Andrea and Klaus were a delight to host. With their combined skills of technology, hard work, cooking, gardening, painting and dog caring and walking we were privileged to have them stay. Not only that but they also became very good friends with tales we both told of all our lives. We enjoyed many hours of wonderful company. We would be very pleased to host again should they return to this area.

Eugenie & Gamze were a pleasure to host. They were hard working, enthusiastic and worked well independently. They mulched a mountain of branches with an electric mulcher and spread them around our native plantings. They cleaned windows and cooked delicious meals. And they took great care of our goats on chickens. We enjoyed spending time with them and highly recommend. They had a strong interest in Australian wildlife which was wonderful to see.

We had a wonderful experience here. For us, just to experience Quechua and Aymara culture was a gift, but to be immersed in it was just incredible. The children were so open to us, greeted us with hugs, and bombarded us with questions. The teachers were very concerned about our well-being and looked after us with such kindness. Everyone was so kind and caring, even the kitchen staff. Before we arrived here, we had the opportunity to meet Lourdes in Arequipa and learn more about the program here. She was patient and answered all our questions. We are very grateful for our time here; this was a unique experience that you will treasure for a very long time. Even a year later we still talk to a few of the kids.

I spent two weeks with Courtney and Sam and really enjoyed it. The communication was straight forward and helped to be clear of the expectation on ether side. I enjoyed the manual labour and the chatting in between. The accommodation is pretty comfy and I always felt welcome to ask, if I needed something. So definitely a recommendation if you need a little time for yourself on the east coast - it helps if you have a car to have a few trips around. The Waikuku beach is just around the corner and worth spending a day over there. Thanks again for the good time, cheers, Carlo

My response is a super late, but I stayed with Laura and Javi for about two weeks at the end of January. I had a wonderful time staying with Laura and her family. Everyone was so kind and welcoming, and they have the friendliest cats I've ever met! My room was comfortable, and there was always delicious food to eat. I really enjoyed playing hide and seek and talking about Kpop with Lily. Since I’ve been learning Spanish for four years, I didn’t have too hard of a time communicating with everyone. There were some things I didn’t know, but being immersed really helped me learn. Their location was so perfect. Cullera is a beautiful town, and their house is a great place to begin adventures on foot! I spent my days exploring the town and the beach. If you’re into hiking, Cullera has some absolutely gorgeous mountains. Even though it was Winter, and the town was a little quieter, there was still always something to do. The hardest part for me was many stores would close at around 2pm, so it was a bit harder to find something to do during those hours. The workload was not too much at all! Granted, I had a roomate while I was there, so the chores were shared, but even on her days off, the work wasn’t too hard. Laura was very accomodating, and helped me balance my traveling days. The one thing I will mention is with so many people and animals in one house, things can get pretty messy pretty quickly, so be prepared. Overall, I had a very nice time. One of my highlights was visiting the museum a block away from the house. I learned so much about Culleran culture, and it makes me want to visit again. Cullera is a beautiful place, and I had so much fun.

The time in Ter Meiren was great 😃 There is an open, family atmosphere where everyone is welcome. Working with Max 🇧🇪 and Barshamal 🇦🇫 was a lot of fun and sometimes we really worked up a sweat 💪🏻 But that was not often 😅 A typical day looked like this: Waking up (8-9), preparing food for the dogs and taking them for a long walk, feeding the sheep and cattle, discussing and distributing tasks, lunch around 1 p.m., continuing to work until the afternoon (4-5 p.m.), feeding the dogs again and taking them for another walk and finally preparing dinner and eating together around 7/8 p.m. The preparation of dinner and the feeding of the animals was done by someone on a rotating basis. Personally, I couldn't bring the dogs to the house because they were very loud and energetic before feeding time🐕‍🦺 But the walk through the forest and the view of the castle was an experience every time. A magical place🌳🏰 General tasks included: cutting down trees, chopping wood, collecting leaves and spreading them on the field (still have nightmares from leaves😅😂), loosening the soil with the tractor, preparing chicory for the winter, dismantling the tent and folding it up for cleaning (the place serves as an event location from May to September). There were no set times. The tasks were discussed and assigned in the morning after breakfast. My highlight was driving the tractor🚜 Thank you very much for this wonderful time Maj & GJ, the interesting conversations, the delicious food, and the delicious wine🙏🏻💐

This has been such a transformative experience for me and I cannot stress enough about how happy I am I went. I was hesitant to go initially as I was the only girl at that specific time to go. I was afraid I would feel uncomfortable but I experienced the opposite. Stefano was so welcoming and careful to make me feel at ease immediately. He is a very kind, compassionate and mature individual who loves to listen and help everyone around him. His life testimony and his devotion to helping others is so rare and inspirational. I was coming from a difficult month, and when I got to this Workaway, everything changed. The tasks are clear and doable, Stefano is organized but very flexible with which tasks you can take on. I helped mainly in the kitchen and outside and the place is so beautiful - better than the pictures. The most transformative aspect was the spiritual aspect. There is this wooden chapel in the garden where I would go pray, and all of us opened up to one another about personal struggles and we prayed for one another on our own time. Stefano does not push anyone to do anything they don’t want to do, he simply created a space where you can help around while also working on deepening your spiritual life and inner healing. This Workaway is so unique you will not regret it I assure you. Grazie mille Stefano, sono state settimane di trasformazione e ammiro tantissimo il tuo modo di servire gli altri

Snap him while you can, he is such a great workaway with an amazing positivity and zest for life. We had a whirlwind week together with tons of cooking (he is a phenomenal chef) and a very willing 'doer', he cooked virtually a week's worth of food for us to take with us on our upcoming ski holiday. We had lots of snow, but Rodrigo was great with our dog and that of a neighbour, taking them out in treacherous winter conditions. He showed a lot of initiative and was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed having you here and look forward to a return visit when and if you aren't held up in the Alps running a gorgeous boutique hotel.

This was my very first Workaway experience, and I truly couldn’t have asked for better hosts. From the moment I arrived, Steph and Sebastian made me feel genuinely welcomed and part of their home. They are both incredibly intelligent, attentive, open-minded and kind people, and being around them was not only comfortable but also inspiring. One of the highlights of my stay was spending time with Monty. Our walks together became one of my favorite daily rituals, peaceful, grounding moments that allowed me to connect with the surroundings and really enjoy the experience beyond just the work itself. I also learned so much from Steph. She has such a thoughtful and experienced way of seeing the world, and our conversations meant a lot to me. I leave not only grateful for the experience, but also feeling that I grew personally during my time there. The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable, and the work is flexible and adapted to your individual skills, which makes everything feel balanced and fair. I genuinely hope I can come back one day to visit them again. I would wholeheartedly recommend this experience to anyone considering a Workaway, it was more than just an exchange, it was something truly meaningful to me.

We greatly enjoyed hosting Inbar. Inbar works hard, has great organizing skills, and provided us with much laughter and engagement during her stay with us. We greatly appreciated all her help with various tasks around the center, including cleaning and organizing of various spaces and the burning of butter lamps that people offer everyday, she helped us greatly with these! We enjoyed many conversations on books, traveling and the state of affairs in the world. Inbar will do great things with her life, we're certain of that! And we highly recommend her to any future workaway hosts and wish her all the best in her endeavors.

I was very happy with the help and open freindly personality of Antoniette. She has a joy in getting things done attitude and energy . we arose early and she was eager to begin. She was enthusiastic to discover and enjoy her free time so was off adventuring when the work was done. She showed initiative and did a great job cleaning and reorganising the kitchen. She also helped me on applications on the computer and getting some long overdue tasks done. She respected the need for quite at night in a small flat and we also took off a couple of times in the evenings, she was very open and appreciative for what i could share around cooking and amsterdam and sharing a couple of evenings. She is very welcome to revisit. Thanks Anto

Juan kindly invited me to stay at his finca for a little over a week in February 2026. Most of the work revolved around rebuilding his yurt which had been destroyed by recent weather in Andalucía. Although we didn't manage to finish in the time I was there I enjoyed seeing the progress from a pile of ramshackle to a bonafide structure. Working with Juan was very pleasant, he has a great mind for improvising solutions to problems and I felt a learned a lot from him in our time together. I also enjoyed playing music, chess and biking with Juan, as well as just hanging out. I would say that if this is your first Workaway, it might be difficult since the work can be long and laborious but if you don't mind that then I fully recommend this one. muchas gracias por todo y te deseo buena suerte. estoy empezando lanzarillo de tormes hoy!
