It was a very beautiful experience, in that nice place I learned a lot of manual skills, and I visited so many natural place. Viktoria and Sebastian were really kind and sweet to me. They explained everything to us and were always available. They're a wonderful family and a wonderful environment, very sociable and open to discussion. Their baby was adorable, and their animals were loving.

I had a really lovely stay of about 9–10 days with Antje and her family :))) . From the very first day I arrived, they made me feel like part of the family and completely at home. Antje is a very warm and approachable person who makes you feel safe and comfortable when communicating. It is very easy to talk to her, which I really appreciate ;) During these days, i had the chance to explore the rural area and go for walks to enjoy the beautiful nature they have arround, and I was incredibly lucky because it snowed and it was absolutely beautiful! Also, Antje helped me A LOOT to plan my free time, and she recomended me some must activities to do, as going to the beach. She helped me a lot to be able to do them, she always offered if I needed a ride or something! Thank you very much for that, i really apreciate it! The tasks were exactly what I expected, just as Antje describes on her profile. We started a project of sorting out a room with boxes and cleaning a shelf, and it was very rewarding and satisfying to see how we progressed!!! :))) On the days we worked together with Antje, we had a great time! Even though we didn’t know where to start, it was really fun doing the Tetris and puzzle of boxes! :D I learned many things with the family, and we even played board games, which they patiently explained to me, and in the end we had a really great time playingª We also went together to the village and to second-hand shops, and I had really a great time with them! It was a very cool and peaceful experience, and I would 100% repeat it. Thank you so much for letting me spend these wonderful days with you!

Ava was amazing!!! We already miss her. She became part of our family and we really enjoyed having her with us. She is really a Pro in the kitchen, which made me leave her in charge of my kitchen(which I never do:-) ) She made wonderful food and sweet treats for us and started a new sour dough which we´ve been wanted to do for years. Also she was super motivated, always looking how to help. She can adapt quickly and is willing to do any kind of work and does it with passion and dedication. Super kind and friendly person on top! We hope she has a wonderful journey and will come back and visit us one day! Truly recommended 100%!!!

Clara was a delightful volunteer with her youthful joy plus competent work ethic. We were impressed by her thoughtful, gentle approach to relationship with other beings and the natural world. Can’t wait to visit her on her farm in Sweden!

Shelli was an exceptional host. She met me at the airport with a great big smile and warm hug. Shelli is super friendly and engages in meaningful conversation. She embraces the importance of environmental awareness in her actions, thoughts and words. Shelli's punctuality and ability to coordinate on many levels is impressive. Her ability to navigate schedules and tasks leaves one envious. The little farm is on the north side of the island only 100 meters from the bay. She brought me to various areas and talked about the rich culture of the island and her 7 generations of ancestry as far back as the slave trade and liberation of the place she calls home. The farm has an abundance of chickens, which were incredible and followed us around like pets, waiting to snack on the juicy morsels that we're exposed while cultivating the soil for the above ground garden beds. Shelli's deli and coffee shop were a highlight of the trips made to the marina. The ice cream is delicious. We made wooden coasters and yard furniture from the fallen trees. Shelli is an amazing host and made sure my stay was beyond what I anticipated.

Truly enjoyed my workaway experience at this lovely elementary school in Shilin district, Taipei located on a small mountain area. Arnold (programme in charge) was very friendly and supportive during my workaway. He made me feel welcomed and I could integrate and mingle well with the other teachers while joining them for lunch and school activities such as student interest group (cycling) and board games with teachers. It was an enriching experience for me supporting the teachers and students in English classes and special educational needs classes. I was inspired by teachers' dedication put into preparing of teaching resources customised to the profile of the students. The school community is closely knitted and the unique point of the school is their focus on nurturing students in nature and outdoor activities. Highly recommend this workaway experience to anyone who loves to interact with elementary students and be in nature 😊

As another host reports, Christian doesn't say much, coming over as socially awkward. Once one gets past this Christian is the most solid person one can find, serious, reliable, dedicated, conscientious and focussed. Give him a job and he'll see it through with dedication, persistence and energy. Whilst he was with us a friend wanted some help with a garden and he went off to help him and Christian kindly volunteered to go off to help him. Christian was so hard working that our friend couldn't keep up! So as a host be prepared for a dynamo . . .

Our family was hosted by Tizia for almost 6 weeks. From very beginning we felt very much welcome by the host, the villa team and by lovely people of Arusha. During our time in villa we were responsible for gardening project, some repairs and maintenance, and the art project which involved producing bamboo decorations for the house and surroundings. We have been able to work with flexibility around our family plans and commitments (homeschooling and trips). Tizia was always honest, responsive and extremely helpful with everything we needed. What we loved the most in this place was it calm and creative energy, open and smiling people, activities and trips for volunteers, delicious meals cooked with love and the home atmosphere. Our girls have grown in confidence by meeting other volunteers and guests, participating in dance, yoga, art and swahili classes. We are so very grateful for our time here. We packed a huge suitcase of precious memories and we hope to return one day! Thank you!

Shea spent a month with our family and quickly became a valued part of our household. She approached every task with care, thoughtfulness, and a positive attitude, always willing to help and contribute wherever needed. Her maturity, reliability, and friendly nature made her a joy to be around, and she brought warmth and energy to our daily routines. She accepted without hesitation the challenge to reorganise woods in the garden which was a huge and hard work! Beyond her practical contributions, Shea has a genuinely engaging presence and strong ability to foster meaningful conversations. She shows curiosity, empathy, and thoughtfulness well beyond her years, and we especially appreciated her openness in discussing ideas, beliefs, and perspectives, which brought depth and reflection to our family discussions. She also connected wonderfully with all members of the family, balancing responsibility with friendliness and humor. She shared moments of fun and lightheartedness, from dancing with Sveva to “Just Dance” on YouTube, to enjoying a good laugh together at the table until it left our stomachs sore! Her presence strengthened our household not just through her work, but through her kindness, attentiveness, and genuine interest in others. Overall, Shea combines maturity, thoughtfulness, and reliability with warmth, friendliness, and an engaging personality. She leaves a positive and lasting impact on those around her, making her an outstanding contributor to any home or team. I even had her help me with the interviews for our next potential Workawayer! I highly recommend her as a great collaborator!

My daughter and I spent three wonderful weeks with Rocio, Gael, and Unaï, and this trip will remain etched in our hearts. The task of repainting a room was a real pleasure: everything was prepared and organized so that I could learn and have fun at the same time. It was a simple and rewarding experience. Taking care of the house on a daily basis was an evidence, as it is such a beautiful, renovated white village house. What really made this Workaway exceptional was Rocio herself. What an incredible host! Warm, funny, generous, deeply welcoming... From the moment we arrived, she made us feel as if we had always been part of her life. She introduced us to her friends, took us along to her activities, to the snow, to dance classes, and we shared so many wonderful meals and everyday moments. I loved our conversations, cooking together, laughing, sharing... A natural bond developed, as if it were a natural thing ! Her older son is charming, open, and eager to discover new foods, her younger son is independent and adorable with his soft voice. My daughter felt completely free to be herself, safe in this peaceful village where we enjoyed wonderful walks in the mountains and along the river. She made great progress in Spanish thanks to Rocio's kindness and patience! And I started learning too. And the weather... Sierra Nevada and the Alpujarras in winter! Sometimes bright blue skies, sometimes real rainstorms that made the house even cozier. The charm of adventure... These three weeks were a mixture of calm, joy, precious encounters, and a real sense of family. We leave with hearts full of gratitude, warmth, and bright memories. Thank you, Rocio, for everything you have given us, for your trust, your generosity, and this beautiful interlude in our lives. We recommend her hospitality without hesitation.

I traveled 2 months in Thaïland, and my stay with Sutheera is definetly a hilight of my journey! Thank you again for having me, learning a lot about Thaï language, Thaï culture and threating me like your familly. I also enjoyed being with Sutheera's friend. Sebastian is a very nice and funny Host. He is really chill and he really tries his best for you to have a great experience in Montevideo. He gave me many informations about activities to do in the city. I had an amazing time at Sebastian's place and can recommend it to everyone.

A short experience of 3 days but a beautiful one with Fifi and all her family. They own a coffee next to the house and serve delicious food. The work consisted mainly in gardening (weeding for me). I had the beautiful opportunity to have a full day with college students and learnt so much from them about their culture. They were so eager to talk and such a great Team, thank you all 🙏

What a fortune we had to have Adri with us for around three weeks! Adri came just a few days after the New Year celebrations and it took literally no time for her to adjust to the community dynamics. She is an extremely fast-learner and very attentive to details, without being judgemental to the least. Adri has a quiet but very present demeanor and everybody was surprised by her exceptional maturity that far exceeds her young biological age. She is also very open for any tasks and always eager to explore and experience something new. Adri is a reservoir of great qualities and among the many, she stands out for her enthusiastic, clever, kind, dedicated and very responsible attitude in all variety of tasks and activities. Towards the last part of her stay, she also naturally felt like helping in facilitating the integration of the newly-arrived volunteers, which was highly appreciated and shows how accountable and mature she is. Out of her kindness and good nature, she was also helping out different people in her off-time, especially she kindly supported making bread for the whole community. Additionally, we were also impressed by her voluntary presence in the temple programs and her example of self-discipline, which we consider to be a golden quality which is really not so easy to acquire or have. Adri is a precious gem and we cannot recommend her enough to anyone who will be lucky to cross path with her. All the best dear Adri, feel always welcome anytime!

We stayed with Philipp for one and a half weeks during winter, which meant that there were only two of us and him (+3 cats and many birds). We had lots of fun, laughs and interesting talks. Philipp himself was a very kind and funny person and it was easy to find our daily rythm as he was very open to our suggestions and sponateous plans. Visiting Zotter factory, Bad Blumau and lunch in Hungary, for example, were such memorable trips 🙂 Our main project during our stay was sewing curtains for the tiny house and in addition we helped him move some materials around the property and spread natural fertilizer around fruit and nut trees. Also, we were big fans of the birds (chickens, ducks, geese) so greeting them every morning was one of our highlights :)) Our stay was a total getaway from the city noise as his property is in a very rural area, but offers great landacapes and the host is very wise man. He can teach you a lot about sustainable building and agricultural practices and a refreshing view of our world. We are greatful that we had the chance to stay with Philipp!

Omi stayed with us only for about a week, but her genuine curiosity and radiant personality left a significative imprint in our community. She got along immediately with everybody and it was remarkable to witness how quickly she seemed completely integrated among the community. She is naturally very well-mannered, attentive and positive and open for any kind of task or activities. We wish all the very best for her future which is just unfolding and looking forward for her visit again. Ciao dear Omi!

Rich stayed with us around three weeks and supported us with such dedication and openness, that even after months we still miss and remember his remarkable example very fondly. Rich has a sweet and charming way about him that makes him very appealing and adorable, but at the same time, no matter the task, Rich will complete it in a determined and resolute way, while being veery friendly and nice to everybody. During his stay he helped us in many different departments, but we were in particular very grateful for his technological contribution. He is extremely good in everything related to cameras, livestream tools and computers. In just a few days, he got very comfortable with our equipment and eventually he was carrying out streaming-related tasks independently and confidently. Rich is also a very thoughtful, assertive and reflective person, who loves to share the wisdom that he collected in his life travels in a very open and respectful way. We are very much looking forward one day to hosting him again and spend again time together. Until then, we wish him all the very best!

We spent one week with Ali in the Wadi Rum desert in Jordan, together with my best friend, and had a truly special experience. Because it was low season, there wasn’t always a lot of work to do, but that actually made the stay very relaxed and personal. From the very beginning, Ali welcomed us incredibly warmly and made us feel at home. We were always offered tea, and his wife lovingly prepared meals for us. The hospitality we received from Ali and his family was genuine and heartfelt. Our tasks mainly involved helping a bit with rebuilding his camp and supporting him with his website. Ali did not have high expectations of us as Workawayers and never put us under pressure. Even when there wasn’t much we could do, that was completely fine for him. In return, he gave us a lot in terms of accommodation, food, time, and cultural exchange. We especially enjoyed the conversations with Ali and learning more about his culture and way of life. He is a very open, kind, and generous person, and the same goes for his family. The calm atmosphere of the desert during low season made the experience even more meaningful. Even though we sometimes felt we couldn’t help as much as we would have liked, the experience was extremely valuable to us. We would definitely come back — especially to see how his camp continues to develop and to visit Ali and his family again. Thank you for this beautiful and enriching time.

Hi! It's been juat few days since I left this special place. I was here for a month and it turned to be an amazing experience! I recommend everyone to try to volunteer here for at least a little while. Just be a little open-minded, this place is very different from every other place I ever visited. But I assure you will fall in love with the family atmosphere and delicious food here! And you can learn so much here as well as there are classes and courses about many interesting topics. The work was very varied, you simply can’t get bored. From cleaning, helping in the kitchen, helping with the cows, making flower decorations and so much more! I stayed here in January and even though it was supposed to be one of the least busy month, I met so many people from all around the world and even attended one small festival here. I am sure I will visit this place again in the future, it’s probably the best workaway for me so far! Hare Krishna!🙏
