    Hello everyone,

    My name is Tizia, I am a 35 years old German and I have lived in beautiful Tanzania for more than a decade, working in tourism and sustainable volunteering. I am employing a total of fourteen local people and welcome workawayers since eight years.

    Since 2025 I am hosting a non profit Yoga Festival in Zanzibar with a friend and since this summer I am homeschooling my three beautiful children (6 & 8) which I am raising on my own.

    Dear Workawayer,

    Thank you very much for considering joining and supporting our family and projects. We are looking for a friendly, reliable, open-minded person who enjoys working with children, contributing creative ideas, and becoming part of a welcoming and respectful environment.

    At the moment, I mainly need support in two areas:

    1. Homeschooling and educational support
    I am looking for someone who can support my German-speaking children with homeschooling and help prepare them for our future move back to Germany. Tasks include practising German reading and writing, mathematics, general school subjects, creative learning activities, homework support, and helping them become familiar with the German school system.

    Experience in teaching, childcare, education, tutoring, or working with children would be very helpful. Most importantly, I am looking for someone who is patient, encouraging, responsible, and able to make learning enjoyable and engaging.

    2. Social media and marketing

    I am also looking for creative support with the social media and marketing of the nonprofit which will take place in April 2027.

    Depending on your skills and interests, you could help us with:

    * Creating social media content
    * Writing captions and promotional texts
    * Designing simple graphics
    * Editing photos and videos
    * Preparing reels and short-form content
    * Developing marketing ideas and campaigns
    * Contacting potential partners, sponsors, teachers, and participants
    * Supporting website content and email communication
    * Helping us share the vision and values of the festival with a wider international audience

    The festival is a meaningful community project that brings together yoga, wellness, culture, connection, and personal development. This is a great opportunity for someone who would like to gain practical experience in event marketing, nonprofit work, wellness, tourism, or international project development.

    We are very open to hearing about any additional experiences, talents, or skills you would like to contribute. Whether you enjoy photography, videography, graphic design, languages, music, sports, yoga, administration, cooking, gardening, crafts, or another creative activity, you are welcome to bring your own ideas.

    We value initiative and would love for you to develop a personal project, organise an activity with the children, or suggest new ways to improve our projects. Your ideas and creativity will always be appreciated.

    We hope to welcome someone who is interested in a genuine cultural exchange rather than simply completing working hours. You will have the opportunity to learn about our family life, our projects, and the local culture while sharing your own background, knowledge, and experiences with us.

    We believe that the best Workaway experiences are based on mutual respect, honest communication, flexibility, and a positive attitude. We would love you to feel comfortable, included, and appreciated during your stay.

    Please contact me and introduce yourself, tell me about your relevant experience, the skills you would like to contribute, and why you are interested in joining us. We look forward to hearing from you and hopefully welcoming you into our home and projects.
