    Description

Hello again! We need a farm sitter for next 4 weeks on the farm. My partner will be recovering from surgery; and I'll need some help watching the chickens while I'm helping him recover at home.

    Lodging
Provided. One bedroom apartment on farm. Farm is right next to the beach.
Still working to get lodging more comfy but right now it may be in a room shared with my farm small office. It is air conditioned. Can do tent camping as well, tent provided. Definitely humble living arrangements with full access to bathroom, shower, and small kitchen. Summer goal is to move out office and turn bedroom back into full bedroom for staff.

Transportation: I can pick up and drop off to airport on first day of arrival. After that, you'll need to make arrangements to rent a vehicle. I recommend renting a vehicle because it is very remote. Having your own transportation is vital for getting around and for getting to the nearest market store.

    Farm Experience/expectations.
    - Keep Chickens feed and hydrated. Collect and clean eggs.
    - The farm experience will also include working in the nursery with our small microgreens operations.

Please note, you'll need to be flexible during Hurricane Season whether to stay at farm or head home if its a bad storm. Either way, we'll love having your help around our island farm.

Helpers will learn about tropical organic farming, homesteading skills, fishing skills, tropical foraging skills, composting, taking care of chickens, beekeeping, farmers market experience and foundational organic farming techniques in hillside terracing while also experiencing the local island culture and enjoying the beautiful scenery of our islands.

But the main focus for these next few weeks is watching chickens and nursery and planning for the fall when we pick back up.
