Hi I'm Morgan! Originally from LA, I have been exploring the western United States since I could buy my own plane ticket. I love learning about the cultures of other countries, trying new things, and gaining unique skills. I have been doing seasonal work around the Sierra Nevada during college summers, preserving wildlife and landscapes while spending more time camping than in my own home. Besides being in love with nature, I am passionate about playing music, learning new languages, biking, and learning from new people! Now that I am out of college, I am ready to fulfill this drive to travel and learn through a workaway adventure.

Cali here! Born and raised in Oakland, I’ve always loved the Bay Area’s balance between vibrant city life and easy access to nature. I recently graduated with a degree in structural engineering, but my favorite projects are the ones that get me building . I love hands-on work, spending hours in the woodshop, planning and building projects gives me such satisfaction. I also have extensive work with kids that has been just as rewarding, allowing me to be playful, nurturing, and creative with such amazing young minds.
Outside of work, I’m happiest when I’m moving, biking through forests, rollerblading by the water, or exploring art and nature wherever I find them. Now that I’m out of school, I’m excited to keep learning through travel and hands-on experiences with new people and communities around the world.

I have experience in customer service from working in a busy holiday retail store in LA. I also have a thorough background of manual labor such as removing invasive plants and animals, leading a community garden, as well as building hiking trails. I have worked in all types of weather outdoors- from heat to hail. Also, I speak almost fluent Spanish.
