My time with Loretta was simply wonderful..She is a sweet and marvelous person who treated me like a member of her family. I really appreciated that she respected my pace and what I already knew how to do, and for the things I didn’t know, she was incredibly patient and taught me everything with a positive attitude. In the afternoons, she took the time to help me with my English! The environment was also great.. I met many of her friends, made new friendships, and had a lot of fun. I felt very well taken care of and truly part of her circle. I believe we'll be friends forever. and my family and I will be forever grateful.

Kim is a beautiful woman, and I especially remember how lovely she looked wearing her sunglasses. Kim is courageous, inspiring, and full of positive energy. She enthusiastically helped break stones from the old building structure and worked hard to create an extra level space for me to build a bathroom together with her friend Benedetta. Her dedication, strength, and cheerful spirit made a real difference, and I truly appreciated having her here. I still remember taking her to the moon festival in the nearby village and also to see Narangala Mountain. I wish her all the best!

Luca was a good workawayer and a friend! He helped me so much building the foundation for a cabin in the forest and making new paths in the woods. He is always ready to start with the works and help in the kitchen. We also had deep conversations and we become friends in not so much time! Hope he will come back soon! A good advice from him that I'll never forget is: *For the best things we need to be patient"

I had a wonderful time helping and staying with Peter, Mayu, and Bobby! I stayed with them towards the end of the ski season for one month and they were absolutely lovely hosts. I helped with cleaning houses for their property management business and a little snow clearing, and even though there wasn't as much work as there should have been due to a lack of snow, it was still a great experience and I was happy to help out however I could. Mayu was great at organising extra activities like having a couple nice meals out and giving us a chance to try a snow shoeing and apple tree care experience! She also cooked up some delicious dishes including a hot pot (thank you :] ). It was really nice to have some other friendly workaways to spend time with too. Recommend visiting Nagano and Joetsu if you can! Peter and Mayu will both often offer lifts to places, like the info centre which is a really nice place to get some personal work done. Also recommend brushing up your Uno skills ;) And Bobby is just a delightful menace of a cat, who I hope continues to get better from his injuries after being rescued. Thank you for the lovely time! Freddie

Kacper is a technician and he helped with lot of jobs whereas they both did also some major painting jobs. We give our full recommendation

I spent two wonderful weeks here. MD and his wife were kind and treated us very well. The schedule is also completely flexible, allowing you to organize your workday as you prefer to avoid the hottest times of day. During my stay, my work mainly consisted of scaring the monkeys away from the durian blossoms and watering the plants and flowers daily, in addition to other projects like building a piece of furniture out of bamboo. We also prepared the beds before the guests arrived. The work leaves you with free time to relax in the hammocks or cool off in the river. We usually cook our own meals, although MD occasionally brings delicious local dinners and desserts for us to try. The location is beautiful, situated by the river in a valley surrounded by jungle in the surrounding mountains, which allows you to see numerous birds and animals in the area. I especially recommend it for independent travelers, as the owner, MD, has been very busy with work lately and can't come to the campsite until late. Thanks to MD for creating this place and making this great experience possible.

Thank you so much for everything! I really enjoyed my time with you, your family, and the fur babies (Noodle really kept me company at all times, so sweet). I felt welcomed and enjoyed hearing regarding your involvement in the city and different causes you are working towards, also appreciate all the recommendations around the city and the teachings about the plants in the area. I am glad I got to help making the trail and having it all ready to go before leaving; the weather seemed to have been changing up a bit, but glad there were home projects I could help with to keep busy during the rainy days. Thank you also for teaching me make tinctures, oil infusions, and allowing me to help collecting eggs and enjoying them for breakfast - such a cool experience! Wishing you all the best.

I adapted myself to the slow-paced and simple lifestyle in Malaysia within 4weeks. Upon returning to Beijing, I felt severe discomfort and still adjusting:). Jojo, thank you for accepting us to participate in your meaningful project, 4weeks really felt short! I met so many people from different countries and cultures, we work and chat together like a family, drink Teh Tarik, play cards, guitar and music, draw and paint, learn welding, and support on the KECIK'S TRAIL. You always find opportunities we can experience more local culture, such as attending local wedding, karaoke, cultural events, Zapin dance, half-boiled eggs. Before I left, I observed how you fasting in Ramadan and even learn to make Ketupat (really frustrated for the first hour finally made it!!!). Additionally, for the first time I observed how the Malaysian Chinese celebrating the Spring Festival, made local Chinese friends and had good conversations. I am also glad to have left some Chinese elements in your project(honored to be your first Chinese volunteer). This chill, cross-cultural, and joyful experience in Batu Pahat will be always in my heart. Although Thomas is still young, I believe this experience is also very important for his future life. I hope you continue to advance your project in the way and pace you want. We will always support you in a different way. When Thomas grows up, he must visit again to see improvements in Wawasan and your project. Enjoy and have fun! Eid Mubarak:)

Marie referred me to a partner organization in the south of St. Louis. There, I received a very warm welcome from the host family and was accommodated comfortably. I was able to work directly with the children and/or help create teaching materials. Both the person in charge on site and Marie were always there for me. I could express my needs at any time, and they were immediately addressed to ensure I had the best possible stay. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience!

I had a wonderful time with Corrina and everyone in the household (including the sweet fur babies, who kept me company). I felt truly welcomed and made felt right at home! I am very glad I got to meet and bond with everyone -- we had such interesting and funny conversations during my visit. Enjoyed going birdwatching, attending cultural events in the city, visiting museums, hiking near the coast, learning to make kimchi, and sharing delicious meals together. Thank you again so much for everything! ◡̈

Christina is a truly talented woman. Independent, capable of organizing herself and handling every request in a mature, responsible, and respectful manner. She's reliable and capable of handling even delicate situations with presence and maturity, and she's also a great listener. Thank you, Christina, for what you've brought to this place. I would definitely recommend her to anyone! Thank you 🙏

We had an amazing stay and can highly recommend this experience. We felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived and throughout the whole week. It was a great opportunity to learn more about ecology and sustainable practices, and we really appreciated all the knowledge shared with us. Thanks to this stay, we also discovered a unique and beautiful part of Australia’s nature. Overall, it was a very enriching and memorable experience.

Staying with Katina was such a special experience, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better first Workaway. From the moment I arrived, she went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and at home. Being so far away for the first time could have been overwhelming, but Katina made it feel easy, she truly cares about the people who stay with her and wants everyone to have the best possible experience. The tasks were easy and the hours are clearly communicated. And of course, I can’t forget the cats! They brought so much joy to my time there, I especially miss Michonne and Timmy so much already. I’m so grateful for everything Katina shared with me during my stay. I would recommend this experience to anyone looking for an unforgettable Workaway.

I really enjoyed Adria and Judit's visit. Perhaps what I enjoyed most were the conversations we had on a very broad range of topics. They are both highly intelligent, professional people who have travelled widely and their breadth of life experience made them very interesting conversationalists. I learned heaps about Catalonia in particular, and Spain to a lesser extent. Being highly trained in their respective fields certainly didn't make them at all arrogant or aloof as they got down and did whatever work was needed around the farm. They showed initiative too, doing some tasks without me always having to direct them. I was dealing with an injury while Jusit and Adria were staying and they were both very considerate in helping out around the house. Adria is a great cook and I got to try several Catalonian dishes that he likes to cook, while Judit always ensured the kitchen was left spotless after every meal. I'm very happy to recommend them both to future workaway hosts.

What a splendid time we had at Damien’s – so much so that we extended for a third week with him. Lorinna and the surrounding region have spectacular nature, but the farm itself is just beautiful: full of native trees and huge ferns, teeming with all sorts of birds, and home to wallabies, pademelons, and possums, among other creatures. Our routine was very pleasant: we had an early start in the fields, followed by mid-morning breakfast, and we continued working until lunch time; the afternoons were all ours to chill or explore. Although there was a lot of weeding to do in the carrot patch (we dubbed our campaign “The Amaranth Wars” – which we actually enjoyed!), Damien always tried to give us a variety of tasks to keep us entertained, and we also ended up brush cutting, splitting wood, planting veggies, mulching, installing an irrigation system for the potatoes, and even helping drench his flock of sheep, which was very interesting. In our free time we enjoyed exploring the huge property, going to the lake nearby, doing some hiking, or just relaxing in one of the nicest accommodations you can find on WorkAway :) Damien was a fantastic host. Thoughtful, genuinely curious about our backgrounds, generous with his knowledge and with his space (what a marvellous home he built, we absolutely loved cooking in his kitchen!), and caring for our wellbeing at all times. He is an intelligent man with a very interesting life story, a good sense of humour, and great cooking skills – because he’s also a modest person, he won’t agree to this, but it’s all true. The day usually ended with a shared dinner, and we enjoyed many good conversations and nice meals together, for which we are grateful. One night, Damien hosted a delicious potluck dinner with family and friends, and another day he took us to a great gathering with other WorkAwayers, organised by one of the other very cool hosts in the area (Arana & Nick – thanks guys!). We also enjoyed spending some time with Damien’s daughter and family, who were super kind and friendly to us- they even took us on an amazing hike to the Cradle Mountain National Park, one of the most beautiful natural sites we got to experience during our time in Australia. Willow the black Kelpie was a great addition to the team, and it was very cool to see the trusting relationship between her and Damien. We can only recommend staying at Damien’s to anyone enjoying proper farm work, good food, off-grid living, and authentic cultural exchange. Thanks Damien, we’ll wait for you in Europe whenever you take the trip!

April was only with me for a few day while I attended a couple of dog shows. In that time she looked after the dogs extremely well. I would recommend her to anyone and hopes April comes back to visit. I can not fault her. Thanks April
