  Description

  Our story began in 2000, when a group of women came together within a religious community to support other women facing difficult life situations. In 2004, this solidarity initiative became an NGO.
  
  We are women who have lived through precarious conditions ourselves and chose to take action — to change our lives and to create a safer, more supportive environment for children and families.
  
  Our center is located in Cotonou, Benin’s economic capital, where many children and women still face poverty, inequality, and limited access to protection and education.
  What we do
  
  In 2008, we opened a nursery and daycare center to offer children a safe and caring place to grow.
  
  Our activities include:
  A secure and loving space for children
  Early childhood education (nursery, kindergarten, tutoring)
  Daily care (hygiene, meals)
  Holiday activities and celebrations
  Support and empowerment for women, including single mothers and out-of-school girls
  Craft and sewing activities (currently being developed)
  Awareness activities around children’s rights, women’s empowerment, gender equality, and sustainable development
  
  ❤️An honest word about our reality Like many grassroots projects, we do not have a stable source of funding. Over the years, we have learned that childcare fees alone are not enough to keep the center running.
  This is why fundraising and communication are essential for us.
  Volunteers are very important, but they cannot replace permanent staff. What truly helps our project move forward is support that strengthens its long-term sustainability.
  How you can help
  
  We warmly welcome motivated and open-minded Workawayers who would like to contribute with their skills, especially in:

  Cultural exchange and learning opportunities

  We remain very flexible on working hours, in order to respect your pace, to promote your contact with the environment, the distractions, the discovery of other localities of the country. We specify that we are very close to the biggest stadium of Benin (Stadium Friendship General Mathieu KEREKOU KOUHOUNOU) where you can attend or participate in entertainment activities.
  
  Also the city of Cotonou is at the seaside and has e Dantokpa which is one of the largest and most impressive The city of Ouidah which is the city par excellence of Vodoun and Ganvié which is one of the largest lacustrine villages in the sub region are less than 25km from us.
  
  We guarantee a welcome and a friendly atmosphere, so that you feel at home. "In Benin the foreigner is king" .Also you will freely choose the activities that you would like better. Our activities will allow you to discover Beninese culture, to learn, to share the joy of children every day; to improve your creativity; give and receive on major issues of the environment.

  Help

  We wish to welcome volunteers / trainees / cooperants, to obtain:
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ contributions of ideas / implementation in the mobilization of help or support, both physical, material and financial to our activities, specifically: *️️️️️️️️️️️️ the development of the living environment
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ the creation and animation of a website;
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ supervision of children (class, tutoring for elementary school children, daycare, summer camps, learning English, prospecting, training and awareness of adults on certain topics).
  We wish to welcome volunteers / trainees / cooperants, to obtain:
  
  *️️️️️️️️️️️️ contributions of ideas / implementation in the mobilization of help or support, both physical, material and financial to our activities, specifically:

  Current specific needs:
-We are looking for people with good communication skills. Our foundation is growing up and we want more visibility on the different social network ( instagram, TikTok, Facebook). The volunteer who come here should be able to animate them as much as possible everyday. 
- One of the other mission, will be to find other partnership and continue are crowdfunding campaign.

  Community needs
Our guests/volunteers are not really aware of the needs of the community. It is a very poor community where there is a great need for toys for kids, learning materials like books, pens.
  
  That's why we request anyone with that kind heart to at least help with any amount of finance affordable. I had feedback to include this to the page as volunteers could bring the above from their countries.

  We have a room for two with mattresses one place .We can also help for cooking in our kitchen. Market is close of our place the were we have rice, pasta, beans, sweet potato and yams, flour or maize starch, lemongrass tea, bread, fruit, fish, milk cheese, flour fritters wheat and many others.
