Jayavati and Jeremy are two very kind and welcoming people. The communication with them is very easy, they make sure that you are as comfortable as possible. She has many dogs who are the happiest and most wounderful dogs I have ever seen, and her horses are two very kind and sensible animals. I learned a lot with them and I am very grateful for this. Thank you Jayavati and Jeremy for sharing with me a bit of your life and culture, I am leaving with a lot of memories and I hope thay we will be able to see each other again.

Tina (Marie Christina) is a five star helper, one of our all time favourites! She is highly skilled, motivated, energetic, and super fit. She takes the initiative to help out at every occasion , is a hard worker and very competent with any task she undertakes. She has been a complete pleasure to have in our home, we would have her stay much longer if we could! We highly recommend Tina to any host 😃

We were delighted to host these two amazing people, Paola and Benji were a great addition to our family and helped out with so many tasks always with a smile and happy attitude, they were amazing cooking fab meals which the whole family enjoyed. They both are kind, caring and interested in learning and sharing what they know. Driving the girls to work, joining us in activities and sharing laughter. We were delighted with them both and would welcome them back any time, apologies for being late with my feedback. I would encourage other hosts to receive Paola and Benji, they will become family.

Having Ayalah stay with us was a wonderful experience, I am late leaving my feedback and have lots of positive things to say for Ayalah. She is a breath of fresh air, always happy, interested in people, a very hard worker, taking care and time even when doing tasks like weeding out large drive way by hand, I could see the care and attention that she gives to everything. She also cooked wonderful traditional food for us, helped with driving the girls to work, and got on very well with the other workawayers here at the time. Ayalah is a treasure and will bring lightness and fun where ever she goes. If you get the opportunity to host her you will see what I mean. Definitely Ayalah is one of our family now.

I stayed two weeks with Caroline, Margaretha, and the children, and we did a wide variety of jobs. There is a lot of work to do, and it never gets boring. The two of them are also very good at answering and explaining all the whys and hows that come up during the work. I learned about planting trees, creating an orchard, and syntropy, which was all extremely interesting to me. We also did a lot of weeding, preparing firewood, pruning trees, and some building projects. The work was a lot of fun, physical, and sometimes demanding — so come prepared! xD We had some dinners together and guests over, which were perfect opportunities to get to know them better and talk about things outside of work. They have traveled a lot and have many great stories to share. It’s so nice to have hosts who have experienced the Workawayer perspective firsthand! They are very open-minded, kind, and welcoming, and I felt comfortable from the first day. They live in a very calm and peaceful village. The surrounding nature is beautiful, with lovely walks to explore when the weather allows it. They also have the sweetest dog ever! Her name is Soket, and she was always happy to join whenever I went out for a walk. :) I’m super grateful for this experience and wish them all the best!

Karen and Al were our first stop in Australia and we couldn‘t have wished for a better introduction to this country and the culture. They helped us with every question, task or problem we had. We really enjoyed the time we spend together in the evenings while cooking. Especially when they had friends over we got to meet great people and had a great cultural exchange. We felt very welcomed from all of the people we met at thier place. The tasks during the day were very doable like caring for the animals, gardenwork or tasks around the house. Working with proper tools is always a pleasure and they had everthing you could think of. We would totally recommend a stay at their farm and would love to come back if we visit Australia again.

I volunteered here as my first Workaway ever, during the January 2026 Ngondro retreat. Initially, I planned to stay for two weeks, but I loved it so much I ended up staying for six. It is an extremely dynamic environment, there are plenty of opportunities to learn about Buddhism and Tibetan culture and witness truly special moments. The work is varied, the house team is made up of kind and insightful people from all over the world who volunteer full-time. I will say, I imagine one's experience would change a lot based on the time of year and the events going on at the time. It can be busy and bustling with energy one day and quiet and peaceful the next. In any case, I am very grateful for having come across this place, and looking forward to going back.

He is a very gentle, cooperative, and considerate person. He not only helped with outdoor tasks such as tending the fields and pruning trees, but also willingly assisted with kitchen cleanup and other household chores. His Japanese is excellent, and for everyday conversation, Japanese alone was generally sufficient. He is very diligent in his studies, and it was a pleasure to read a French book together alongside its Japanese translation. As a specialist in computers, he worked with remarkable patience and made many creative improvements and adjustments, which was an enormous help to me.

Both of them were very kind and gentle people, and our days together felt warm and harmonious, like living with family. What impressed me most was their attitude toward even the most difficult tasks—they carried them through thoroughly to the very end without any compromise. Every time I look at the garden and the ditches they cleaned so beautifully, I feel filled with gratitude. Each of them took the initiative to decide their own roles and responsibilities and carried them out with care, which made them trustworthy and reliable. Vincent not only cooked wonderfully but also handled all the kitchen cleanup with great skill—I was amazed at how capable he was. Heloise also helped by offering many useful suggestions regarding computer-related issues.

It was a pleasure to host Cathy for a few weeks. She's smart, funny, flexible, and a hard worker. She also bonded with my 18 yr old son, and the two of them were thick as thieves, talking about anything and everything, discussing math problems, watching amine. We're both going to miss her great energy.

Rawinia is an incredible mother, full of warmth, charm and kindness. She welcomed me not just as a guest, but as a member of her family. Through her, I learned a great deal—especially about maintaining a positive attitude toward life. She helped me gain a genuine insight into everyday Kiwi life, from visiting a local primary school on parents’ day, to taking part in a local surfing event, and introducing me to activities and interests around Leigh. Of course, her four beautiful children are absolutely adorable, their smiles truly melted my heart.

Loane and Teddy were fantastic workawayers. They were very hard working and respected our house in every way. They did all the jobs with confidence and worked diligently until all tasks were completed. They were also very sociable, and we had lots of good conversations. We would highly recommend them to any future host. We hope to see them again before they return to France.

Mees was with me for almost two weeks. He had this quiet confidence of someone who clearly knows how to do things, but doesn't need to say anything about it. As soon as he picked up a tool, you are like, "wow... Yep he knows how to do that. " He was super helpful will all kinds of stuff while here, from digging inside caves, to building donation boxes outta metal and planting at numerous waterfalls. GREAT VOLUNTEER. very skilled and helpful.
