Description
We are a family of four, spread out between three homes in a lovely garden. Myself (Jayavati), my husband (Jeremy) and my daughter (Govinda) with her little girl (Alaya), and a small cabin for Travellers.
We grow organic vegetables, and keep dogs, cats, ponies, peacock and Koi fish. We often have rescue animals.
We need help with various projects around the gardens, also to muck out stables, help take care of dogs and a couple of ponies... Also strimming and weeding the garden.
Jeremy designs eco houses and is a carpenter and musician, I am a retired psychotherapist and horse trainer. The gardens are a lovely peaceful place to be, and we are in a most beautiful part of Ireland.Types of help and learning opportunities

DIY and building projects
Animal Care
Help around the house
General Maintenance
Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
We can help you with language skills and there will be opportunities to visit the sea and swimming in good weather. We have beautiful mountain walks on our doorstep, and it is great for nature lovers and hikers.
You can learn skills with organic gardening and handling horses ( small ponies in our case). Also building maintenance, painting and decorating, carpentry etc. Depending on what projects we are working on.
Occasionally taking care of some friendly house dogs might be required, and being prepared to take on their various feeding routines and character quirks. You will definately need to be an animal lover or you may get overwhelmed !

We need help with our organic gardens, ponies, dogs and building maintenance. But its important that you enjoy being around dogs and horses. Kindness is essential as we often have rescue animals here for rehab. Also that you dont mind mud...this is the downside of Ireland unfortunately!

You will have a small, Comfortable cabin to stay in, (share bathroom and kitchen in the main house). Sharing vegetarian or vegan meals in the main house or if you prefer to take a tray to your cabin NOTE...we dont eat meat or fish, and can not cater for special diets. We eat very healthy delicious vegetarian / vegan food, but if you are a fussy eater with individual likes / needs then you will be disappointed.

We live simply but in comfort and lead a joyfilled life. Enjoying the nature around us. We live in a rural area, NOTE...We are 5 klm from the nearest village and main transport, but we go to town most days so there is opportunity to shop or explore.
Our house backs onto mountains with great trekking (the Sheeps Head Way). Spectacular views with beaches and hidden coves.
We love having visitors and have been Helpx hosts for many years. We are new to workaway.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our lovely home and laid back lifestyle.

Zenda is a multi tasker with many strings to her bow, and we wish she could have stayed longer, and can highly recommend her to be a lovely guest in every way.
