  Description

  EN For some years a community project has been born in Val d'Ossola, we are a group of friends who live in a large stone house of the '600.
  We mainly deal with the renovation of our house, we take care of our garden and organize small events and cultural activities.
  
  Our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible in terms of energy, water and our diet. This is why we have a simple and conscious lifestyle in relation to the use of natural resources.
  We take care of our garden following some of the principles of synergistic agriculture and those of permaculture, with attention to the tradition of the place where we live we are recovering some of the typical crops of our area such as rye, that we grind and use to make bread, pasta etc.
  More generally we try to transform in different ways the food we produce by making preserves, fermented, soaps and various self-productions.
  
  Our house is in a beautiful stone country in a state of progressive neglect and we are working to make it alive again.
  The house is very old and the reconstruction work is done by us without the help of construction companies, therefore we live in a permanent construction site and the workawayers will have to be particularly adaptable.
  
  Our yard is welcoming and often many friends come to visit us, we like to go swimming at the river after working together, play and sing in the company of good food and wine, welcome everyone in its specificity.

  IT Da qualche anno è nato un progetto di comunità in val d'Ossola, siamo un gruppo di amici che vivono in una grande casa in pietra del ‘600.
  Ci occupiamo prevalentemente di ristrutturare la nostra casa, ci prendiamo cura del nostro orto ed organizziamo piccoli eventi ed attività culturali.
  
  Il nostro obiettivo è quello di essere il più possibile autosufficienti dal punto di vista energetico, idrico e per quanto riguarda la nostra alimentazione. Per questo abbiamo uno stile di vita semplice e consapevole in relazione all’utilizzo delle risorse naturali.
  Ci occupiamo del nostro orto seguendo alcuni dei principi dell’agricoltura sinergica e quelli della permacultura, con attenzione alla tradizione del luogo in cui viviamo stiamo recuperando alcune delle colture tipiche della nostra zona come ad esempio la segale, che maciniamo ed utilizziamo per fare pane, pasta etc.
  Più in generale cerchiamo di trasformare in diversi modi il cibo che produciamo facendo conserve, fermentati, saponi ed autoproduzioni varie.
  
  La nostra casa è in uno splendido paese in pietra in stato di progressivo abbandono e noi stiamo lavorando per renderlo nuovamente vivo.
  La casa è molto antica e i lavori di ricostruzione vengono fatti da noi senza l’aiuto di imprese di costruzione, di conseguenza viviamo in un cantiere permanente ed i workawayers dovranno essere particolarmente adattabili.
  
  Il nostro cantiere è accogliente e spesso molti amici vengono a trovarci, ci piace andare a fare il bagno al fiume dopo aver lavorato insieme, suonare e cantare in compagnia di buon cibo e vino, accogliere tutti e tutte ognuno nella sua specificità.

  What else ...

  Our house is a 15 minute drive from Domodossola, we have bikes to make available.
  Our area is beautiful for those who love the mountains with many cliffs for climbing, trekking more or less challenging with many national parks nearby, we are well connected to the cities of Locarno, Briga and Milan.
  There are thermal sites and alpine lakes, including the lake Maggiore, around us.
  During the summer there are also various cultural events, music and local festivals in the area.
  
  La nostra casa è a 15 minuti di macchina da Domodossola, abbiamo delle bici da mettere a disposizione.
  La nostra zona è bellissima per chi ama la montagna con tantissime falesie per l’arrampicata, trekking più o meno impegnativi con tanti parchi nazionali nelle vicinanze, siamo ben collegati alle città di Locarno, Briga e Milano.
  Ci sono stazioni termali e laghi alpini, tra cui quello maggiore, attorno a noi.
  Durante la bella stagione vengono organizzati anche vari eventi culturali, musicali e sagre locali nei dintorni.
