I really loved my stay with Armgard, it was very inspiring to me in many ways. The land is beautiful, we would go on evening walks with the dogs and watch the sunset, share lunches together as well as game nights and star gazing - During all of of which we had a great laugh as well as deep and interesting conversations. Armgard is an open book and I loved hearing stories of experiences. Her independence and hardwork was very inspiring to me. Caring for the animals was so rewarding, the horses and dogs all have such a lovely temperament and are so well looked after. I found the work enjoyable and rewarding, her trusting me with jobs I hadn’t done before, leading to me discovering new passions within myself. I would love to return to the ranch one day, I’m sure that I will :) much love.

Sidney is so fresh and happy that is pleasant to have her around. She enjoyed a lot her time at our farm because she loves animals, specially horses. She was always happy to give a hand in any task we had to do. Thank you Sidney for your help and your smiles 😊

For our first Workaway experience we were lucky enough to be hosted by this lovely family. Scott, Joyce, Chet and Elias opened their homes and hearts and felt like family right from the first day. Beware of Joyce's cooking, I can definitely feel my waistband being tighter after all the delicious meals and wonderful baked goods she fed us lol. It is deep winter in the highlands, so time was spent hauling logs out of the woods and putting in for the woodstove, we helped Scott organize his garage and had the pleasure of a spirited card game in the evenings that brought lots of laughs and friendly competition. The area is beautiful, and we can't wait to make it back this way for a visit during the summer where Scott and Joyce have promised us camping in the mountains and oyster harvesting in the beautiful bay. Although we are just beginning our journey, we are already looking forward to visiting again. Thanks so much guys for welcoming us and being awesome hosts....

I stayed at Deb and Rusty's place for about 10 days and I enjoyed Deb's cuisine and the garden in their backyard. The place is beautiful and very quiet but it's difficult to reach without a vehicle, my main occupation was weeding and cleaning from infesting plants in the garden and helping with everyday tasks. I'm thankful for their help, nice talks and good night movies. The Apollo bay and the great ocean road are amazing places and really I really enjoyed them.

Certificate of volunteer work Enikö We hereby confirm that Enikö has worked at our forest-farm , from 14th of August to 18th October 2025 in the municipality of Östersund in Sweden. Enikö has worked with a multitude of tasks, like on-going restoration of buildings, painting, mending and repairs, machine processing of firewood, vegetable garden and more, also daily chores for household and company to partly disabled wife. Specially we appreciated Enikös unafraid and smiling approach to learn and execute new tasks at farm, forest and cottages with or without company. She adapted and learn very fast, is an excellent teamworker, has integrity with a positive mind, pro-active resolving all kind of challenges with agility and quality in mind. I had a wonderful stay with Lisa and Collin. The house is fantastic—you have everything you need and much more. For example, there is a small pool, a hot tub, a table tennis table, and a pool table. The work as a housekeeper at the adjacent motel is absolutely fair and, thanks to the colleagues, a lot of fun. The entire team is incredibly kind and welcoming. In addition, the location is perfect—just a few minutes’ walk from the lake and the town center. I had a great time in Taupo and was able to collect plenty of adventures and beautiful memories—shared sunsets and cooking together. Lisa and Collin were also always very accommodating and did their best to make the most out of every situation for me. I can also highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay with Daniele, George, Alex and Loan. They were wonderful hosts and immediately made us feel welcome and like part of the family. The work was enjoyable and relaxed, and we always felt appreciated for the work we did. Daniele and George were very caring hosts and always went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had what we need. They are very compassionate people and communicate everything in an open and kind way. The food was amazing and there were always nice conversations to be had or games to be played. We would highly recommend a stay here, as you will have a wonderful time with wonderful people. Thanks again guys for everything 😊

This was my first Workaway experience and also my introduction to life on a finca. I stayed for a week at Gonzalo's farm and worked about 4-5 hours a day roughly. I helped with some of the weeding and with carrying water/moving sand/hay across the farm. Since some of this was new to me, Gonzalo was patient about explaining how to go about everything. The farm's a little difficult to get to if you rely on public transport, so Gonzalo picked up from the bus stop when I arrived and dropped me back on my last day. I'm glad I gave this a shot!

In the short time I've known Annalouise, I've come to admire her so so much! She is such a kind and generous person and I was incredibly lucky to have her as one of my first Workaway hosts. I spent about a week house-sitting while Annalouise travelled out of town. We only got to spend a couple of days in each other's company but it was such a comfortable experience for me, and we never ran out of interesting things to talk about. It was a pleasure working in her garden and taking care of her beautiful home while she was away. She communicated clearly and took me through her requests both before I arrived and again after I got there, and was always available on the phone for any questions I had. There's a lot to recommend about her village in Murcia as well, and I'm glad I got the chance to visit a part of Spain that's off the beaten track. Thanks Annalouise, I hope our paths cross again!

It has been such a pleasure hosting Charles. He was open for different tasks from working outside with tools to helping building a bed and he is also a really good cook. He takes care of his surrounding without being asked or reminded about it. We enjoyed spending time here chatting, also about deep topics and we thank him a lot for trusting us and being open. He stayed in our guestroom and he was never disturbing at any time. We would welcome him again if he was in the area again and wish him all the best for his future travels!

The work was chill and Jane was very communicative. I was able to explore Boston while still keeping up with the place's cleaning maintenance. There were supplies available as well, and Jane and I maintained regular contact throughout the stay. I enjoyed this experience!

Marco e Paola sono fantastici! Sono stato da loro una decina di giorni in questa casa immersa nel verde e lontano dalla frenesia della città. Abbiamo lavorato bene ed è stato molto soddisfacente. Mi hanno fatto sentire benvenuto, abbiamo fatto chiacchierare e allo stesso tempo ho avuto tempo per me. Sono stati gentili e non mi è mancato niente, in primis per il cibo, tutto molto buono! Paola e Marco sono due persone per bene che si danno un gran da fare sia per mantenere bene la casa in campagna che in generale nella vita, li rispetto molto e gli auguro il meglio.

Pamela, incredible human being, very easy to go with, explain task, duty’s, activities, very reliable and no need to push, she will go beyond expectations! Thank you Pamela for coming and helping us at our goat farm, it was a tru pleasure meeting you. Looking forward for another adventure

Katharina joined us on our farm during the winter for 2 months. She is positive, energetic, motivated, task oriented and highly organized. What a pleasure to host her at our house. She took pride in daily tasks and enjoyed her time with our animals and treated them all with kindness and love ❤️ We would highly recommend Katharina to anyone as she is a joy to be around 🥰 She will always be welcomed back to our home at anytime We wish her all the best with her future 🇨🇦 travels and plans

As part of my 6 months journey travelling in Greece, I found a home at Nikoleta and Spiros' farm. I spent nearly 3 weeks in December with them and their two kids Sterios and Zois, two very funny and interesting boys. All together we did the harvest of the olive trees while talking and listening to traditional greek music. I enjoyed doing this with them and their friend Dimitri. It was also very pleasant seeing all these animals living a happy life in this farm. They also have the cutest cows. My other tasks were diverse so I could see different sides of the farming life. From feeding the cow and goats with branches, organizing wine bottles, weeding, filling big bags with organic soil... Every morning I was thrilled to have a healthy breakfast : eggs from the farm, mountain tea, fresh homemade bread with olive oil and oregano. It was very nice to pick oranges and mandarines directly from the trees. Besides this, Nikoleta is such a great cook !! They are both very busy and hard workers as they dedicate all their time to the farm life but they definitely know how to take a break, celebrate, and invite friends over. I learned a lot there and am very grateful for this experience. Thank you !

Nicole is a very great person, a practical person who is excellent at her work. She has a lot of experience in teaching children and adults. She adopts modern techniques, such as learning through pedagogical play. Frankly, she left an unforgettable imprint on our memories. We learned a lot from her. We traveled together and exchanged conversations. It was an experience of the utmost magnificence and beauty. Whoever receives this woman will have great luck in life because she is a sophisticated professor in her dealings, high culture, discipline in her work, and good organization. If I sat for a whole year talking about the positive .she is very nice women she help my in a lot of works. characteristics of this woman, it would not be enough for me. SWhat I want to say is that I hope you will visit me soon.i love you so much dear my sister Nicole

I spent a week with Heidi and John. When I arrived, I was greeted by kangaroos, which was a great start ;) I took care of the chickens, harvested fruit and vegetables, and learned how to process the self-grown produce in different ways. I weeded and learned a lot about sustainable gardening. We were allowed to borrow bicycles, and they were always willing to drive us into town or pick us up. The food was fabulous, and the accommodation was super cozy. It was a really great week – thank you very much!
