 - Description- Buongiorno a tutti !! We are Jacopo, Francesca, Elia, Geremia and little Damiano. We are a young italian family and we turned our family house into a social organic farming project with people with different disabilities, mental health problems or social difficulties (kids and adults). Pretty cool you would say !! ;) We have been travelling with workaway and wwoofing and loved it deeply so we are looking forward to meeting you and for you to become part of our dream!! We have been hosting for the past 5 years and we hit the 70th volunteer lately !
 If you are proactive and eager to share, and you want to be the next: please apply! We like sports, cooking, eating, baking, travelling, chatting, discussing and sometimes arguing, watching movies, playing instruments, dancing...we are no couch potato, you better already know :)
 PLEASE NOTE 1) We'll prefer long term stays and girls, as at some point the room might be shared with another girl; in general during the Summer we host 1-2 volunteers for farm help and one volunteer to help me with the baby, while in the colder months we'll have one volunteer at a time, mainly for the baby with around 1 hour/day of farm help;
 2) we hardly ever host couples or people travelling together;
 3) after multiple tens of experiences, we realized our family probably doesn't suit people younger than 22-23, maybe because there's just lots going on all the time... if you are younger please wait some years to apply !!
 4) I (Francesca) am an internal medicine physician, if you have any medical condition or allergy please let me know. Your messages will be read by no one but me first, therefore the thing will stay private if you wish, but I ask to know it as I somehow feel responsible for the people in the house.
 We receive various messages a day, so if you decide to apply, please let us know why you would like to come here and what are your main goals while with us. We do an initial selection of our very favourite profiles for every time frame (if you happen to be out please don't take it personally, we are so sorry to have to select !!!!) and then normally have short interviews to take our final decision. See you then !!
 All the best to everyone ♥️♥️♥️

 - Cultural exchange and learning opportunities- We have had the chance to travel the world through programs like workaway, wwoof, aupairing and more, and we love the cultural exchange which always comes from these experiences!! We love languages, different cuisines, we are more than ready to share all our talents and experiences with you and to receive all you will want to share with us of your language, talents, opinions and more !!! We are a family opening their doors to you, therefore we ask for deep honesty and reliability, just what we will be offering you.
 You might find true happiness here if you are proactive, cheerful, energetic and love nature and the outdoors, please don't apply if your best wish is to spend the whole day in your bed watching series and being served as in a hotel, that is not the case here :)!!
 As for our strictly "university - portfolio", Jacopo has several university degrees: Anthropology, Educational Sciences, Psychology and finally Cheese making, + a sailing licence recently achieved !! Francesca is a medical doctor working in the local hospital....lots to talk about !! :)
 - Au Pair Help- Further details can be found here
 - Projects involving children- This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
 - Help- - FROM NOW ON : we are mainly looking for help with our baby (born in May 2025); until April 2026 we need some help with households, a little with the farm, and some hours with the little one (I am on my maternity leave so no independant babysitting is required).
 - FROM APRIL 2026 ONWARDS: we'll be needing an aupair figure to stay with the baby in the mornings while I am at work, ideally 7.20-13, 4 days a week! We need someone responsible and childhood oriented who is willing to stay at least 3 months with a planned schedule and pocket money. Ideally someone who already has experience with toddlers but not mandatory ! Occasional babysitting of the older kids might be needed but will be organized in advance!
 - FROM JUNE TO SEPTEMBER 2026 we'll be selecting a second person to help in the farm (minimum stay 3 weeks):
 - help in the farm: considering the season it might be fixing fences, taking care of the chicken coops, tending the animals, working in the greenhouse or preparing the plants for the season, chopping wood, gathering things in the fields...We are 1000% organic so all you'll be dirty of is...lots of soil and mud (we provide a spare clothes box you are free to use);
 - help around the house: keeping common places clean and reasonably tidy is a daily job when you live in a farm with so many people...therefore there's always something to be done!! Keeping your personal spaces reasonably clean and tidy is kindly encouraged and it will be polite and civil to leave them so for the next volunteer when you leave;
 - we recently built a traditional Mongolian Yurt and we have a little flat we rent to tourists, therefore there's much movement in the house! No proper work with the tourists will be asked to volunteers.
 - general light housework...We all love cooking, baking, eating together and meals preparations and cleaning up are shared tasks normally...
 This all said, the basic ingredient is your enthusiasm and will to cooperate!! If you have some experience with either farm work, kids or/and are used to kids-households that is a plus (and will make your experience here much easier) !!!!! :)
 In the farm we have a big green house, dogs and cats, lots of chickens and few goats, we run everything organically and we have a lot of different occupations in the different times of the year.
 We've hosted a lot of people in the years, around 70 at the moment, we can provide references from all of them !! We have also previously been aupair (Francesca), workawayers and WWOOFers, basically we truly love cultural exchange !!!!

 - Accommodation- You will be suited in a private bedroom (might be shared with another volunteer) and private bathroom in our big country house, few minutes outside the town of Belluno. We eat on a general Italian style scheme: lunch as a main meal around 1.30, dinner around 7pm! Volunteers are always welcome to join in, or if they prefer they can settle their own meals in our kitchen on different times with their own ingredients, as long as it doesn't unsettle our cooking, which might be in a hurry and with many pans and ingredients around !!
 We love Italian cuisine as well as foreign, we'll be delighted to learn new recipes from your own culture and tradition as well as to teach you some of what we know !
 - What else ...- We live in a small city called Belluno, in the beautiful Dolomites. The landscapes are amazing, there are hikes for any kind of hikers, as well as many places to go rock climbing outdoors. The town is cute and historical, lovely to walk around but you won't find much city-amusement.
 You can take a bus to town or borrow our bike when you are free to explore the neighbourhoood or take a trip, you are also welcome to join us on freetime activities such as hiking around here, visiting friends in Venezia, travelling, going out for a picnic or a pizza... Please note, it's a tiny mountain town therefore the public means are not the best in the world and in case you have the option of coming with your car or renting one it's surely easy to move around !!!
 In our area, called Veneto region, you can find Venezia (100km from here), where part of our family lives and we can easily arrange you a bed anytime; Verona: Romeo and Giulietta's town, with beautiful "arena" theatre; the venetian lagoon with its nature and wildlife, the lovely city of Trieste, where we also used to live until I graduated, and finally, very near us, an endless bunch of amazing mountains (our favourite part). Italy is anyway pretty small, and trains system works quite well therefore you can easily spend a weekend in Bologna, Ferrara, Milano or Firenze if you like. We also have many friends and relatives living in these famous cities, therefore depending on the season it might be possible to arrange a bed or even a "private city tour" for you when you like !!

I really enjoyed the work. When I was there, not so much needed to be done on the farm, so it was a mix of working on the farm (feeding the goats, picking up vegetables, keeping the surroundings clean) and house work (cleaning the house, preparing the yurt… read more
The work on the farm can be tiresome, but I enjoyed learning what it is like to have a small organic farm. You'll be chasing goats, harvesting, cleaning yurts/airbnbs.

Notice for people who need their alone time: they often invite friends and family, which means I was glad to have a van to be able to "escape" in the mountains every weekend to find some calm
I felt the luckiest person ever to be able to live one month with them.
Somehow we trusted each other very quickly and I felt like part of this family.

I stayed for 3 weeks, and I had experience a lot. Most of work is helping on farm in the morning. (water the vegetables, take care of some animals) Those were simple works that even inexperienced person like me could do, because they taught me very kindly.
