  We are looking to connect with volunteers for help with various tasks around the house in Boston, United States. Me and my roommate have been living in Boston for the past years and since we both have our roots outside of US, we have had the pleasure to travel to many countries and enjoy discovering new places and foreign cultures. Over the past year we have decided to open our house to travelers in order to have the pleasure of interacting with people from all over the world.

  Boston is the largest city and considered the gateway to New England, which is the birthplace of America. It’s the oldest major city in the USA, founded in 1630. Since my house is just next to the Metro station, it gives you a great base from which to explore the city and learn about the rich cultural heritage. A lot of the people that I have hosted are delighted to have a chance to experience life in such a historic city and get a chance to visit the nearby historical sights. I enjoy teaching people about the cultural history of my city, especially about the local area that I live in and some unique places in the city that are only known by the locals. There is a lot to learn about the local culture, from going out for some Clam Chowder and Lobster to going to a local bowling alley and playing a game of candlepin.
  
  Boston is also a wonderful place for people to improve their English and has a lot of great language schools and even English classes offered for free. I am always happy to teach English to our guests, and find that people are often shy and uncomfortable speaking when they arrive but after a few weeks of practice become very talkative and thus improve the language skills very quickly.

  Help

  We are looking to connect with volunteers for help with various tasks around the house. Mostly, these include tasks such as helping with the laundry, tidying up around the house and making improvements and maintaining the front yard and the back porch of the house. We also often welcome guests from other home sharing websites and could use some help attending to guests and keeping the house in order. Basically, this includes general house cleaning, some dish washing, sweeping/moping, laundry, cleaning bathrooms and etc.

  The house is conveniently located just 5 min walking from the Metro, which is just a few stops away from Downtown. You will have your own private room, and share the rest of the house (living room, kitchen, bathroom, terrace, laundry room) with me, my wife and fellow travellers. The house has central heat, AC, TV in the living room and fast Wifi. The house has a fully equipped kitchen witch you are welcome to use. When we are around we like to cook and provide meals. If we find ourselves busy we can provide you with a food stipend instead and advise about affordable grocery stores within our area.
