Mauro! es un gran persona. Nos ayudo un montón tomando y editando videos para nuestro sitio web y redes sociales. Es muy amable y social y con un montón de historias. Mauricio salió muy amigo de todo el equipo. Estará siempre bienvenido en nuestro proyecto y muy recomendado para todos los otros proyectos!

J’ai terminé mon séjour et je repars avec le cœur rempli. C’était mon tout premier Workaway, et je suis très reconnaissante d’avoir vécu cette expérience avec les enfants, l'équipe et les volontaires. Principalement , j'apportais mon aide au niveau de la gestion des réseaux sociaux et j’ai aussi eu la chance de découvrir d’autres services et de m’impliquer dans différentes activités auprès de l'équipe et des enfants. C’est justement ce qui rend l’expérience si riche : le fait de pouvoir aider volontairement à tous les niveaux, aux côtés d’une équipe engagée. Partager le quotidien des enfants a été profondément touchant. Leur situation est difficile, et l’existence même de l’association leur apporte un soutien essentiel : un repas, un endroit pour se laver, laver leurs vêtements, se soigner. Ce sont des gestes simples mais qui changent tout. Voir leur sourire chaque jour, c’était la plus belle des récompenses. Si vous cherchez une mission humaine, pleine de sens, je vous recommande . C’est une aventure humaine forte, qui vous marque durablement. J'espère repasser la prochaine que je serai au Sénégal. Merci Cyrielle et Pierre pour cette belle et première expérience vécue à vos côté dans. 😊

Vera and Pelle were lovely to have at our place, their calm and steady demeaner a welcome atmosfere in our busy daily lives of the christmas months! Vera being an architect designed our greenhouse for us with Pelle, and then set to start the building together! They did a great job, it was too big a project to finish in a few weeks, so they set it up in a way that it was perfectly logical for someone else to pick up from there! It will be a structure that lasts for many years, as they designed it to be super sturdy to stand the winds and storms of winter. They were at ours for three weeks but it felt so short! We wish they could have stayed longer. They were very happy to play with our daughter, and patient and gentle. I got to expand my vegan cooking skills, which was great! They were always super helpful with meals, setting the table or doing dishes which was very much appreciated :) Thank you for everything!!

It was absolutely wonderful having Tatiana with us. She went above and beyond what we asked of her. She listened to instructions and questioned anything she didn't understand, so we were able to overcome the language barrier. She was interested in our lifestyle and joined in in all station work and activities. We would love to have Tatiana back with us. I would not hesitate to recommend Tatiana to other workaway hosts. We are so lucky she chose to come to our station.

My stay at Rosa and Vincent's place has been unforgettable! They are such a loving and welcoming family that words do not suffice to describe it. Staying with them feels like becoming part of the family, and one can learn a lot about life in Belize. There are so many cute animals living on their land, always ready to cuddle and play. Rosa and Vincent have a beautiful vision for their property, based on altruism and care for the others' wellbeing, and I am looking forward to one day coming back to visit them again and seeing it realised! Thank you for this amazing time spent together :)

Lena (and Noah) are such wonderful people to have come stay!! Lena is really caring, gentle and observant in daily life. She will notice things others might not. On the other hand she is also very hardworking and motivated, and will leave nothing unfinished!! She is not afraid to use big heavy powertools to reach her goals! She is always interested in learning something new, and so patient with my 5yo daughter, who absolutely adored her! It was really a pleaselure to have her (them) and we were sad to part ways! I hope our paths may cross again!!

J'ai passé 4 semaines avec cette super famille et cela a vraiment été une expérience enrichissante ! Marie et Maxime ont été très accueillants, ils ont à coeur de nous faire découvrir Québec. Nous avons partagé de supers moments. Martin est très chouette, super smart et toujours prêt pour des parties de jeux de société. Alice est pleine d'énergie et d'imagination. Un petit soleil ☀️ Ils ont pleins de projets différents dans la maison et s'adaptent à ce qu'on aime et ce qu'on a envie d'apporter. J'ai vécu un séjour incroyable, ils m'ont énormément aidé dans mon arrivée à Québec. Je ne peux que vous conseiller de croiser le chemin de cette famille solaire, adorable, sensible, drôle et bienveillante. Merci pour tout 🫶🏼

Noah (and Lena) were really fantastic to have stay with us!! Noah is hard working, a great carpenter, and very professional! He is fun to be around, was great with my 5yo daughter and always up for a laugh and chats. He is also very helpful around the house and with anything I needed help with. I really am very grateful for them coming last minute to finish our greenhouse, and what a great job they did! We really enjoyed the lightness and laughs that came so easily with them! Thank you for being part of this family, journey and projects, We hope to cross paths again!!!

We spent about a week at Manakau hideaway and our stay was absolutely wonderful. Roger & Brenda are so generous and welcoming. We had a great time meeting everyone as well as playing bananagrams in the evenings. Roger has some great stories to tell about geocaching and old workawayer's that he still keeps in touch with from around the world. A testament to how welcoming Manakau hideaway has been to travelers throughout the years. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through the Otaki region. Thank you Roger & Brenda for everything, hopefully we'll be able to stop by again on our way back :)

I spent a great week here, it absolutely flew by. Had the place to myself for most of the time, which was perfect, did some landscaping work, prepped and painted a door, cleaned & prepped the front gate, then did some quick touchups on the worst parts. All of it looked much better afterwards, almost like new. Very peaceful, relaxing sanctuary, Cristina and her family dropped by multiple times, prepared amazing food, especially her aunt Yolanda, so delicious. Very nice to be able to share meals with the host and family, one of the best parts about volunteering on the road. Had time to check out Filandia and Salento, two nearby colonial towns, easily accessible by bus from the main road. Plus, there was a drum kit there, got to play a little bit, a rare luxury on the road, only the second time there’s been a drum set on site, in 3+ years of volunteering in South America. If you’re into yoga, meditation & spiritual practice, this is a must visit site and host. Would definitely go back when I return to Colombia in the future. She also asked that I follow up with her once I made it to Popayan safely, something that very few hosts do, and it was very heartfelt, not perfunctory. Gracias por todo, Cristina.

I had such a great time volunteering in Anthony and Martinas house. After many months in hostels it was wonderful to be in an actual home, with a family and eat homemade food. The garden is wonderful and the work very do-able. To have the opportunity to join the activities held during the retreat was an enormous plus. Yoga, cacao ceremony and breathwork exercises. Some so powerful I was blown away. Highly recommend!

I spent 5 weeks in Acacias teaching and it was one of the best volunteering experiences I ever had. I was teaching the same group everyday for one and a half hours which really allowed me to connect with my students and help them improve their already great English. Dani and Fernando were the best hosts one could ask for and I feel like I found friends for life here 🫶🏼 They made me feel right at home and showed me around the town, we had dinner together most nights and did some trips on the weekends. They are both incredible people and you can see how much effort they put into the institute, always trying to improve for their students. Acacias itself is a very safe and calm town and I felt comfortable there at all times. I would definitely recommend volunteering here and I hope to see Dani and Fernando again in the future! (maybe in Germany 😉) Muchas gracias por todo ❤️

I loved my time in Peria with Fenella, the dogs and the chickens! I spent 4 months here and did a variety of work - sanding, painting, weeding, cleaning, lime washing a wall, treating rust on containers and some other little tasks. Fenella is great at explaining what needs to be done and has a great selection of tools to use. I had my own lovely little cabin and was treated to some yummy vegan food, a lot of it fresh from the garden. There is also the river next to the property which is great to jump in and cool off on a hot day, or just relax next to it and brave it on a cold day! Fenella introduced me to a lot of her friends and the local community. A lovely community, very welcoming and interesting. I was taken to the twice weekly coastal dog walks which were awesome. Beautiful scenery and lovely dogs! I could happily have stayed here for a lot longer and miss the company of diddybug, Rufus and Fergus. Thank you so much Fenella.

Una experiencia maravillosa, una bienvenida excepcional. Angela, Nano y Fafi me recibieron cálidamente desde el primer momento, y todo fue perfecto, desde la organización del trabajo hasta la deliciosa comida preparada para los voluntarios. Es una familia que ama muchísimo a los animales y los conoce profundamente, compartiéndolo con los voluntarios. Angela es una mujer fuerte y cariñosa, Fafi es una pequeña reina de las gallinas, y Nano es un chef maravilloso con quien compartimos la cocina :) Los animales son hermosos, y la experiencia de cuidarlos de esta manera es realmente única y especial. Los voluntarios que conocí también compartieron esta compasión y amor, y fue un grupo que difícilmente olvidaré. Recomiendo ampliamente este lugar, también por la buena música en vivo, el ritual del fuego y toda la cultura que se puede sentir, además de la paz y el amor verdadero. Nada fue un problema, todo fue un tesoro. Muchas gracias de corazón, volveré pronto para verlos y ver cómo va creciendo Inti, la más suave de las llamas alpacas ❤️ un abrazo para ustedes, los perros, los animales de granja y las gallinas... especialmente Pico 🐑🦙🐓🐥🐦🦚🦜🐎🫏🐕

I had a wonderful two weeks volunteering at Rosie’s place. I really enjoyed our conversations over lunch. Rosie has so many interesting stories to tell and a wealth of information to share. She also makes the tastiest jams from fruits grown right on the chacra. Rosie is just as sweet as her homemade jams! I am very thankful for the time that Luis and Cecilia took to make me feel welcome. Luis was so patient with me while working on our tasks and kindly answered any questions I had. He also gave myself and another volunteer great recommendations for hikes in the area. The little things like our conversations over mate and coffee, or going out for beers, live music, and dancing will remain in my memory (Cecilia and her parents are super talented). The chacra provides a place to slow down and listen to nature. The peaceful pine forest above the property became the perfect place for quiet meditation. Thank you so much to Rosie, Luis, Cecilia and Gustavo for opening up your homes to me and teaching me about a different way of life. Everything that you have built on your property is truly inspiring!

Sarndra is such a wonderful host! Her home is beautiful and her garden is absolutely incredible. Sarndra’s stories were really interesting and she is so great to talk to. Most of all, we both really appreciated how clear her communication was. We always felt like we knew where we were needed, what to do, and how to do it. Katrina built a bucket toilet structure out of recycled wood and Cora did a lot of weeding. Sarndra is great at cooking as well, and it was so lovely to eat so many things from the garden. We had a great time staying in Dunedin!

En casa de Cate y Víctor es como estar en mi propia casa. No tienes que esperar horarios ni días específicos; todo fluye según los compromisos familiares y tus propias necesidades. Cocinamos, intercambiamos recetas chilenas e italianas, jugamos con el pequeño Damián, acampamos con amigos y compartimos la vida cotidiana con amigos y familiares. He vuelto a visitarlos incluso después de irme por un nuevo proyecto, y espero poder volver a visitarlos otras veces porque fue una experiencia realmente especial y los recomiendo muchísimo. Gracias, amigos, nos vemos pronto ❤️

I was in Amber's family for 10 days. This is my first time as a workawayer and I couldn't have asked for a better job. It's a lovely family with her four children. Every child is special and very interesting to discover. Amber is an amazing mom and cook. I didn't see the time pass and I enjoyed spending time with them. I've done a lot of things like taking care of the kids, gardening, wood and cleaning the house or the dishes. I was very included in their family life. We went shopping, fishing, table tennis with Inti, adventure games, photo shoots, trampoline and lots of hugs. If you love children and being immersed in nature, this is the experience for you. Thank you very much for your time with you.
