This couple is the best you can have to take care of your place! They are open, hard working, taking initiative and responsibility right from the start. Manon helped a lot with mowing the grass ,) and building projects, Gittan in the garden and kitchen. He is really good with fermenting food and making the best sirops in the world! We loved the nice combinations. They are caring people, love to play with kids and talk about live. So if you want to have a nice extension of your family, please welcome them and you will not be dissapointed!

And the weeks flew by...:( They were really helpful, liked to be in the kitchen, did a lot of cleaning work and playes with our kids. Game nights were the best!! I have really good memories of my workaway with Vilté. She was calm, sociable, and cooperative. She got along from the start with the other workawayer she shared the same apartment with, and this made me happy and relaxed enough to dedicate ourselves to various activities. Vilté demonstrated, with good skills and results, her interest in the island's sports and nature. We tried new trekking routes together and checked the condition of the trails. She was helpful in moving and cleaning the kayaks, preparing recipes shared with the other workawayers, and tending to the small vegetable garden. Vilté, I was truly pleased to read your review, even though many months have passed since your experience, thank you for your kind words.🙏 I wish you the best in everything 🌞🌊🙋

Maggie stayed with us for almost a week, and we truly had a wonderful time with her. She supported our project in every possible way whether it was working with the children, visiting schools, or helping with household responsibilities. She contributed wholeheartedly in every area and became a valuable part of our journey during her stay. We sincerely hope to meet her again in the future, and we send her our very best wishes from the bottom of our hearts.

We had one of our best weeks in Australia with Adele and Andrew. They were very generous and sweet! They lived at a beautiful place with plenty of things to do in the area and the work we did was nice and relaxed. Highly recommend 😊 Hopefully see you again! 🇳🇱 Jacob and Daan

Kristen and Steve are truly amazing people and put up with me for 10 whole weeks! From my first day to my last day, I felt right at home and welcomed into their family. I arrived in late March at the start of spring and stayed all the way into June and early summer. The town of Peshastin and the whole valley will always have a special place in my heart and feel like home. Kristen is a genuinely wonderful person and is absolutely on top of everything you could need as a Workawayer. She gives detailed instructions and is always clear with her expectations. She has incredibly detailed lists for anything that needs to get done and is always fair with what is asked. She works hard as a teacher and truly cares about her kids, which is a joy to see. Her care, empathy, and excitement for her guests (and everyone in her life) are evident. She’s the best person to share a laugh, have a meaningful conversation, play a board game, or work in the garden with. Her animated character and high spirit make this home feel lively and fun to be in. Kristen is someone that I will always feel grateful to know. Steve is a great man and the calm to Kristen’s upbeat attitude. Like Kristen, Steve is incredibly kind and inspiring. Although you might find him quite at first, Steve has such a wealth of knowledge and experience that he will happily share with anyone who asks. Steve consistently blew my mind with his many adventures and skills. As much as I want to brag here about all the things that make Steve so incredible, I should let future Workawayers hear it for themselves. (P.S. If you ask him about his whitewater rafting career, you might get lucky enough for Steve to take you on a float!) Beyond the warmth of Kristen and Steve's hospitality, the setting itself made this experience unforgettable. Peshastin is a hidden gem nestled in the Cascade foothills, where the surrounding mountains provide a breathtaking backdrop to daily life. Watching the seasons change with the spring wildflowers and Kristen's amazingly prolific gardening was a wonder. Between the snowy peaks of the Enchantments and the orchards in bloom, there are few places more beautiful. The town's charm is matched by its natural beauty. The crystal-clear river and nearby mountain lakes became regular spots for swimming and soaking in the scenery. What made the experience even richer was sharing it alongside 7 other Workawayers throughout my time here. Kristen and Steve did an excellent job hosting so many of us at once, and their experience as hosts really showed. Every single person I met was an absolute pleasure to know, and everyone added another layer of joy to the work and adventures we shared. Between Kristen and Steve's exceptional attitude and experience, the area's natural wonders, and the wonderful community of fellow Workawayers, my stay offered everything I could have hoped for and so much more. Together, Kristen and Steve make an excellent pair, and I feel so grateful to have gotten to know them. I cannot recommend staying with these folks enough.

I am so glad my path crossed Ulises'. I've had an amazing stay at his place, he has been so welcoming and generous. He shared so much about the history of the country and many other things that it made my stay in Mexico more rich. I also got to meet a lot of his friends and share a lot of beautiful moments. Hours of hammock talks. He really has a gift for explaining in a fascinating way. I loved navigating in between langages with him and my spanish has gotten so much better in the process ! I helped him in the general maintenance of the house and also to paint. I could do the work at my rythm, which I loved Thank you so much for everything And I can't wait to visit you again or meet you somewhere in the world :)

We loved having Lena and Phillip to stay - they are really lovely, considerate guests and easily fit into our family. They worked hard and completed their tasks to a high standard every time. We shared many lovely meals together, especially one they prepared for us - so delicious!! We warmly recommend Lena and Phillip to future hosts.

My stay was the best! I was supposed to stay 1 month and I ended staying 2 months 😅! The place is very peaceful surrended by nature, beautiful animals and humans. I learned to much about natural horsemanship thanks to Saita. The poneys are awesome! All of them have they one personality and it's so rewarding to see them getting more trustfull towards you, with time. My job was to take care of the poneys: - feeding, grooming, bringing them to the paddock, ground training The other part of the job was to sometimes give some support to the staff with the clients of the hostel. As they don't speak a very good english it's helpful for them if as a volunteer we can facilitate the communication. Saita is a very generous and patient person, always kind to transmit her knowledge and make you feel at home. She is a pretty busy women so she needs people who are able to work in autonomy and take initiatives. I recommend the place 200%! I hope I will have the opportunity to see again !

Our experience was wonderful and positive! The work wasn't too hard, and the natural surroundings were fantastic. We learned so much about plants and Tayrona culture, and what we enjoyed most was the cultural exchange with the Kogi community. The atmosphere with the staff was also relaxed and friendly. It's a very peaceful place to relax, enjoy the river right there, and in the afternoons, if you're up for it, you can also explore the area, which has many beautiful things to offer! We highly recommend it to anyone who wants to spend a few days in a place that's so much more than just a hostel!

Rouven was an amazing volunteer! He was always kind and respectful, and made a great addition to our community. He was also SO helpful in upgrading, fixing and installing different electrical systems which was a HUGE help. I would highly recommend him for any Workaway needs. Rouven, please come back and visit us again soon!

Maxence and Jeanne were the most fabulous couple in every way. We loved welcoming them into our family on their honeymoon. We were SO sad they were on such a tight schedule and we only got to enjoy them for a week yet we feel we have known them for much longer. They are intelligent, fun, helpful, respectful, tidy......and more. They were so interested in the farm and helped with drought feeding, cleaning troughs and anything else that needed doing. The set up our new Robot mower and vac/mop. They helped with meal preparation and some spring cleaning. Absolutely threw themselves into anything that needed help with We cannot recommend Maxence and Jeanne too highly and miss their company!

This was my first Workaway, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for more from the experience. Miguel is one of the kindest and most caring people I’ve ever met, always going out of his way to make you feel welcome. From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The hacienda is absolutely gorgeous, and the work was fun, varied, and filled with plenty of laughs. Miguel truly integrates you into his life through time spent with his family and friends, which is an amazing way to meet people and improve your Spanish! Caring for and riding the beautiful horses is an experience I will never forget. Miguel made sure to teach us everything he could, from saddling and riding, to cleaning, caring and training the horses. The animals at the hacienda are all stunning — especially Tyler! Overall, this was an incredible Workaway with so much to offer. Thank you so much again, Miguel, for the unforgettable experience and memories. Until next time, my friend! 💙

We spent the pre-season in Madarao with Dan and Andy, and it was such a special and rewarding experience! Communication with them was extremely easy from the start, and they really want you to have a great stay: Dan even helped me (Héloïse) getting started driving on the left side of the road. We had a very comfortable studio and free use of a car, which was amazing to explore the area (Togakushi, Nozawa Onsen, Lake Nojiri). Dan and Andy are very fair about working hours, pay, and days off. They are flexible and always open to feedback. We did various tasks getting the properties ready for the winter season: sanding, deep cleaning, painting, general DIY, organizing, and even sewing! It was a real pleasure to work for them and we can’t recommend this workaway enough. Dan and Andy, thank you so much for your kindness, and we hope the winter season is and will be incredible!

We spent three weeks and a half at Midori-san’s in January, and we had an amazing time at her house in the countryside. Even though it’s a bit remote, the bikes make it easy to get around. We were able to go to local New Year’s celebrations (Noh theatre and Iwami Kagura) and one of her friends drove us to a beautiful onsen. We were lucky to experiment a wide range of activities: calligraphy, glass art, chashaku making, and kendo. Being able to play the piano was a huge bonus. Midori-san is always ready to put some time aside to share her interests and knowledge, and if you commit to learning, you’ll really reap the benefits! This was the case with Japanese lessons, tea ceremony, yoga, and Japanese cooking. We did various jobs around the house and the garden, and the working hours were very fair. We would recommend this workaway to anyone who wants a peaceful stay and to discover Japanese culture. Thank you for everything Midori-san!

What a chance we had to find this wonderful place ! Linda and Andy are the best ! Our time there was so nice that we extended it, and would have stayed even more if we didn't have something else already planned ! They really took extreme care of us, and make sure we felt good, listening to our needs, involving us in interesting tasks, cooking us delicious food! They also made us discovers the surroundings : Deloraine, some of their friends... We had so much fun with them around card games, sharing travel stories and listening to music ! There place is an amazing project ! A little heaven ! They have huge knowledges in landscape design, we learned a lot with them! It was really a pleasure to work with them, they are sharing a big positive vibe ! We loved our cabin, it was so confortable with 5star view ! It was hard to leave them, we felt with family here and we can't wait to see them again !

I spent three incredible months with Patrick and Emilia, and it was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. I don’t have enough words to describe everything I experienced during this time. From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed as part of the family. Their house in Toronto is very well located, making it easy to do almost everything on foot or by public transportation, which gave me a lot of freedom to explore the city and truly enjoy life in Toronto. I had plenty of free time to visit, discover new places, and make the most of my experience there. The time spent at the cottage was completely different but just as special. It’s an incredibly peaceful and relaxing place, perfect for disconnecting from daily life. We spent a lot of time hiking with the dogs, enjoying nature, and slowing down, which made the experience even more meaningful and balanced. Thanks to Patrick and Emilia, I was able to see and experience things I had never seen in my life before, and every moment felt truly special. Patrick and Emilia are kind, caring, and wonderful people. The tasks they asked me to do were simple, enjoyable, and very reasonable, offering a perfect balance between helping and having personal time. We also cooked a lot together and shared genuine moments of connection, laughter, and warmth. And what can I say about Bigsley and Bando… they are incredibly loving, affectionate, and attached dogs who absolutely adore humans. They give so much love every single day and are honestly way too cute. They became such an important part of my daily life, and I am going to miss them so much. I’m leaving with unforgettable memories, so much gratitude, and the feeling of having lived a unique and deeply enriching human experience. I honestly don’t know how to thank Patrick and Emilia enough for their generosity, trust, and for everything they shared with me. I would recommend their Workaway without hesitation to anyone looking for a meaningful, balanced, and unforgettable experience.
