Description
Trying to create a Piet Oudolf-style garden on my property in Greece. Small kavili, one bedroom/office up (twin beds), one bedroom down (normally mine) to house a single female or two females/a couple who don't mind sharing a room. Skopelos is a magical island (parts of Mamma Mia filmed here). Crystal blue waters, starry skies. Reached via ferry from mainland (Volos or Mantoudi) or Skiathos (island next door with airport).

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
I am a US-born (TX/NY), French-trained chef with a degree in nutrition, although I work in software consulting. My dog Sherlock and I look forward to shared meals under the 800 year old olive tree. Skopelos town is a 20 minute car or bus-ride away...with many cultural opportunities with locals and expats. Skopelos is not a super-developed tourist destination, but maintains its native population year round, albeit swelling quite a bit in July/August. I speak French, a bit of Spanish and am learning Greek.

Help
Help involves gardening, garden design, vegetable garden planting & maintenance-with owner. Interest/experience in cooking and preserving a plus. Plan on adding some sort of "glamping" situation (possibly a small teardrop trailer or sturdy tent) to have more room for visiting friends & family.

Accommodation
The upstairs bedroom is small, with trundle bed, small chest of drawers and clothes rack. It also functions as my office from approximately 2pm-7pm M-F. The downstairs room (mine) connects to upstairs by a small internal staircase and the bathroom is reached via a passageway at bottom of stairs, currently separated by curtain. There is also an outdoor stairway by which the bathroom can be reached by an outside door. The bathroom is shared with host. There are MANY outdoor living areas, including two outdoor showers. Meals provided will be primarily lacto-ovo vegetarian. Kitchen is NOT strictly vegetarian. Smoking is not allowed anywhere on the property due to fire risk.
Camping in your own tent is a possibility. Especially if you know how to build a platform to put it on! -
What else ...
Happy to give lifts to town, if I'm going, otherwise there is an island bus (stop #20) on the main road (1.6 km away). There are also taxis available from town. Bike, e-bike or scooter rental is available in town. It is possible to hike to Panormos beach in approximately 30 minutes. I do not provide on-demand transportation :-)

Can host digital nomads
As I use the office area/desk from 2-7pm, M-F, the additional nomad would need to be able to work from elsewhere on the property. Reception is sufficient around the house, but there can be road and neighbor noise.
-
Space for parking camper vans
Couple of places a van could be parked, depending on size.
-
Can possibly accept pets
Smallish dog only.
