Experience the Best of Cottage Life and City Living in Ontario!

    Hi Workawayers!

We’re Patrick and Emilia, a friendly couple in our 40s living in downtown Toronto with our two lovable golden retrievers, Bigsley and Bando. Patrick works as a banker, and Emilia is a teacher. When we are not in the city, we escape to our sanctuary—an idyllic 5-bedroom cottage on stunning Weslemkoon Lake near Bancroft.

About Our Cottage: Our cottage is nestled on a breathtaking 20-kilometre-long lake carved into the rugged Canadian Shield. With depths reaching 200 feet and surrounded by pristine forests, Weslemkoon Lake offers the ultimate retreat into nature. You’ll wake up to the calls of loons, and you might spot deer, elk, moose, bears, or wild turkeys during your stay.

We’d love your help at the cottage with:
    - Gardening and yard tasks
    - Organizing and cleaning
    - Painting projects
    - General maintenance and small building projects

When we’re back in Toronto, we’ll also need help with:
    - Dog walking and caring for our two golden retrievers
    - Meal prep and household chores
    - General tidying and cleaning
    - Yard tasks on occasion

    What We Offer:
    - Accommodation at our cozy cottage surrounded by nature or in our comfortable city home in downtown Toronto
    - Delicious meals and opportunities to cook together
    - A welcoming and friendly environment
    - Time time to relax, swim, kayak, hike, or explore the vibrant culture of Toronto

Why You’ll Love It Here: At the cottage, you’ll immerse yourself in nature, enjoying the lake's serenity and the Canadian wilderness's beauty. In the city, you’ll experience everything downtown Toronto offers, from world-class museums and parks to diverse restaurants and cultural events.

Ready to Join Us? If you’re hardworking, independent, and love outdoor and indoor projects, we’d love to hear from you. Looking for a solo traveller, and you’re welcome here! If you have any questions or would like to see more photos of our places, just reach out—we’re happy to share. Looking forward to welcoming you into our little slice of heaven!

    Warm regards,
    Patrick & Emilia
