Tamara is a greatly inquisitive and mellow soul. She stayed with us relatively short, just for about two weeks, but she left quite an impact. She is very skilled and thoughtful, which combination allow her to be resourceful in all the activities. Her ayurvedic studies were a great match in the community and we absolutely loved to witness how enthusiastically she decided to attend the cooking course offered by our main cook. She is also as well very reflective, reliable, warm and she always shared her heart and opinions very openly and gracefully. It was a pleasure to have her here and we surely recommend her to any host. See you soon dear Tami!

I would encourage anyone to go visit Frances, what a beautiful part of Slovenia she lives in. She makes a lot of effort to not only share what she knows about the local area, but to take you out into the crazy nature that surrounds her home. If you're up for putting in the work, and occasionally having to carell some unwieldy ducks into their homes at night, then definitely stop by Bohin! Look forward to seeing you next time I'm passing through!

Beautiful and kind Kim. Just having her around made the house feel brighter. She got along so well with the other two Workawayers, and everyone enjoyed working together with her. She has incredible energy and stamina. When we went hiking, she never complained once and never even said she was tired. She just kept going with a smile. One of my favorite memories was our trip to Shiga to see fireflies. We spent about two hours traveling each way by train, and in the end we only saw around five fireflies. Karen, a Czech Workawayer who came with us, seemed disappointed that we had traveled so far to see only a handful of fireflies. She kept saying that we should have gone to watch the fireworks by the sea that were taking place on the same day instead. To be honest, I felt a little sorry for bringing everyone all that way. But Kim completely changed how I felt. She kept pointing excitedly and saying, "Look! Look! There's one! Such a tiny little light... wow!" She was genuinely moved by those small, faint lights. Her excitement wasn't about how many fireflies there were, it was about being able to see them at all. Whether it was hiking up a mountain without a single complaint or being amazed by the tiny glow of a firefly, Kim has a special ability to appreciate the simple beauty around her. She is the kind of person who finds joy and wonder in things that many people would overlook, and I think that is a truly wonderful quality. She also enjoyed every meal so much. I've rarely met someone with so few dislikes when it comes to food. She happily ate everything I cooked and always seemed genuinely grateful for every meal. Whenever I told her what time I would start cooking, she would come downstairs right on time and help me prepare the food. She and Eleanor, another Workawayer from the UK, became best mates and built an amazing team together. Thanks to Jasmine, who stayed with us before, I already had a very positive impression of British people. But Kim and Eleanor made that impression even stronger. These past two weeks have been so much fun. I can't thank Kim enough. She was also very gentle and loving with our new puppy, Lamune, and treated her with so much kindness. I'll miss hearing Kim's cheerful voice around the house, but I'm sure we'll meet again someday in the UK. Thank you, Kim. Take care of yourself, stay happy, and keep that wonderful smile. I hope to see you again soon. ❤️

I had the pleasure of spending three weeks with this wonderful family. From the very first moment, they welcomed me as a member of the family and made me feel truly included. The work schedule was very flexible, and Aurore was always open and accommodating regarding my wishes to go on excursions and explore the area. The two older girls are very independent and absolutely lovely. Little Neo is adorable and is always happy to have a playmate—whether it's jumping on the trampoline, drawing tractors, or baking bread together. He is open to almost anything; you just have to know how to sell the idea to him! :) In general, the family is very active, sporty, and enjoys spending time in nature. For example, I often went jogging with Aurore and joined her for fitness classes, which are memories I will never forget:) All in all - It was a wonderful experience that I would happily repeat at any time. Thank you so much for everything! ♥️

Kai and Mirјam are excellent volunteers. In less than 10 days of volunteering at my camp, they helped me with several important tasks. First, they thoroughly cleaned the yard, removing unwanted plants and bushes. Together, we built a small table next to the outdoor faucet, which is very practical and functional. We also constructed a platform for the outdoor shower. One of their biggest contributions was helping dig a 25-meter trench for a water supply pipe. Both of them have great skills and a strong willingness to help. They are also communicative, friendly, and easy to get along with. You can trust them 100%. I can confidently say this because I had to leave the country for a few days and entrusted them with managing the camp on their own. I highly recommend them.

What a great experience to have mozghan coming over and joining our family! She blended in with our family very smoothly and we had such a beautiful cultural exchange! Mozghan is a super friendly, smart and responsible strong woman, who is committed to her chores and very considerate towards my family. Thank you for coming over. It's been an experience we will always remember!

Smilla spend a couple of days with us and we had a fantastic time! She is very responsible and skilled in doing her painting project. Her communications were very clear and reliable. She is also fun to hangout with. What a wise young woman! Wishing you all the best on your travels!

Susanne was an amazing help in our home. Easy to have and a great conversationalist. She also help at my daughters house with her busy business and did a great job. We would highly recommend her.

I spent a wonderful time with Maria, Tobi, and their lovely kids, Neo and Yoko. It was the best decision to choose here for my first Workaway experience. I mainly cleaned the house inside and outside, watered the vegetable patches, cooked lunch, and looked after the kids. The view of the mountains and the sunset from the volunteer shared place was incredibly beautiful, which I already miss a lot. I hope I can come visit them again one day. Thank you a lot. Luis is amazing!!🤩 I am so happy he made his way from Spain to my little garden project in Denmark where he spent a month. We had so much fun together and he was a super great help to me. Always finding things to do even if I didn’t give him tasks. He makes excellent food and he is very tidy and clean. Among the things he helped with here was power cleaning, painting, organizing, gardening, cooking, constructing. Especially he improved my terrace with extra wood and he built a little tree house in my willow tree. Now I can drink coffee up there every day and think of him and how we all miss having him around! I certainly hope you will come back another time, Luis! 🤗

Had a great time with this family, they were very accomodating and flexible with work options. I learnt to repair brick mortar which was awesome. They have an amazing supply of food and kindly cooked and included me in family meals.

Manos is a cheerful and willing worker. He had a good taste of life on the quinta even though he was only with us for ten days. He processed meat chickens, learned how to milk a goat, watched baby goats being born, planted potatoes, helped to make cheese. Throughout he was friendly and courteous. We were very glad of his help, and enjoyed his company. We can heartily recommend Manos to future potential hosts!

Reika was a quiet, clean, reliable, and sweet person. She did some cleaning up and took acroyoga videos and pictures. We did a few activities together, and she recommended some interesting movies. She brought up coming again, which I'm absolutely up for. Highly recommended.
