Description
Zdravo My name is Igor, i'm 40 years old, grew up in Skopje and received my master degree in Sofia's national academy for film directing. I've been lucky enough to spend most my time travelling and exploring this beautiful world. My passion is street juggling. I love hanging out and all the other animals that come and go here. I have an acre of land at the mouth of Canyon Matka, 45 mins from Skopje. I intend to create a small scale eco campsite here in the forest, located right next to the magical canyon river Treska.
Come and enjoy this incredibly beautiful and special place.
I'm at the beginning of this dream and now ready for some workaway help!
We have facilities to cater for two people (shower, toilet, kitchen, wifi etc) couples are welcome. Perfect location to immerse yourself into nature, and exploring the local area. Also close enough for day trips to Skopje.

Macedonia is one of the smaller and lesser known countries in the Balkans, but steeped in rich heritage, history and traditions. Today the country is dotted with remnants of its ancient past, as well as more recent history and architecture of Byzantine and Ottoman rule with grand mosques and religious monasteries.
The canyon is one of Macedonia's foremost areas for alpine hiking. The climbing season begins around Easter and ends in November. Matka meaning "womb" is home to a wide variety of plants and animals, some of which are unique to the area. Roughly 20% of the plant life found at Matka is endemic and only found here. The canyon is also home to 77 indigenous species of butterfly. The canyon's huge cave networks are home to large populations of bats.
Located on the right bank of the Treska River, Vrelo Cave was listed as one of the top 77 natural sites in the world and well worth a visit!
