Description
Hi I'm Frances, a British woman living in a beautiful farmhouse with land and forest, near the lakes in the Triglav National Park in Slovenia. I've always got all sorts of stuff that needs doing around the land, working with wood, tree, garden, creating things, repairing things, building things, clearing, tidying, clearing, lime stone rendering. It's just me, a dog a cat and 10 chickens. I will give you tasks which suit your skills and preferences and I will work with you most of the time ! I love to swim in the lake and river each day, or go stand up paddle boarding with my dog , and go hiking, it's beautiful around there all times of the year ! I really do like to make the my and you time off so I'll do lots with you!

You'll experience living a quiet pace of life, in nature, semi off grid, getting eggs from my chickens. You'll see nights full of stars and gorgeous dawns and sunrises. You will also get to see the best local swim spots at the river and the lake and the good (non tourist) local bars and eateries. And if you want to experience hiking in Slovenia Triglav National Park mountains. I'm a native English speaker so I'm happy to help anyone with practising their English.
Help
I've always got all sorts of stuff that needs doing around the land, working with wood, tree, garden, creating things, repairing things, building things, clearing, tidying, clearing, lime stone rendering, painting. It helps if you are handy with tools and don't mind physical work outside. In the winter it becomes difficult to work outside because the ground is covered with snow and there's no heating in the workshop in the barn. But autumn and spring I always need help!

Accommodation
If there are no tourist guests in the downstairs apartment you will stay in the apartment which has a 5 start rating online ... a lovely large double bedroom room , en suite bathroom. But to be honest this doesn't tend to be free much.
Most likely you will be sharing the upstairs apartment with me, which is where I live, which is also lovely with fantastic views. There is a mezzanine loft style guest bedroom (with restricted headroom). It has a fence around it but it doesn't have solid walls. So it's visually private but it is not sound private if you see what I mean. But it's very cosy and with a double bed.
What else ...
You can walk/ hike in any direction and it's gorgeous! There are waterfalls rivers and mountains! But I imagine you'd like to spend most of your time enjoying the lakes. (Bled and Bohinj). I have a SUP you can borrow (which takes two people!) And I have a car you can borrow. But you can also come with me and we can do stuff together.... I go to either the lake or river or sometimes both every day. Public transport is only a few times a day to my village and shops are 15 minutes drive by car away. There is a local bar in the summer which is lovely and it also does traditional Slovenian food.

A camper van can easily park here but I'd prefer it if you sleep in the house while the Air bnb apartment is occupied.

Yes! I have a dog who gets on with other dogs. If you bring dog thats brilliant, but it would need to get on with free range chickens because they like to run around free every day.

They made a beautiful job of lime rendering the side of the barn, Lauren got totally in the zone and repointed the stonework to look beautiful.
