Zoe and Paul have been here for a week, just as spring arrived. They are super helpful and have a keen eye for what needs doing, indoors and outdoors. They are conscientious workers and independent problem solvers. In addition to all that, they are fun, and nice, and make nice music! I fully recommend them!

It has been an extraordinary experience to stay with Elsa and her kids. They treated me very well and included me in their life. I felt really welcome. I spent a wonderful christmas with them. My tasks contained work in and around the house like daily cleaning, ironing, pruning. I finished mostly around noon. I really enjoyed my time there. Highly recommend to any workawayer who wanna get to know authentic Canadian life and also have time to discover Vancouver.

Colin stayed with me for 2 weeks and was a great help! We mostly did work in the garden, planting, weeding, clearing. He also helped with some diy jobs that needed doing. He’s an easy going guy who was willing to give anything a go. A pleasure to be around too :) He also looked after my pets while I had to work which was much appreciated. A great guy who’s always welcome back!

Pia, my wife, stayed 1,5 weeks and I stayed 4 weeks with Dominique and Wim. It was a real pleasure to work with Wim. He gave suitable jobs to both of us and helped and advised in a kind manner when needed. We did different jobs in garden and I participated in some building works in the house they are renovating. Dominique joined us in the evening after her working hours and prepared our delicious dinners. At dinners we had many nice discussions in a friendly atmosphere. The finca is a bit outside of town, but Muchamiel is at half an hour walkng distance and a big supermarket is about 20 mins away. At finca there are not so many activities available besides work (why should there be). So D&W took us to trips and drove us to Alicante to our own trips. I made a week-end trip to Valencia, which is only a couple of hours from Alicante by train. All together, we had great time with kind, friendly people. And dogs! Strong recommendations!

Our experience with Marie and her family was wonderful! She was lovely and clear from the moment we started talking. She had always a positive energy, and was flexible and open to talk about what we needed. We found here the perfect workaway for us, were we could have our own space while going to help them in simple daily home tasks. It's a great opportunity for house or petsitting, or for doing some home tasks with very nice people in an amazing city. Both the place were we stayed and their house are very spacious and clean. We loved taking care of his peaceful and beautiful dog, Toby. We miss going for walks with him :)

My experience with Sonia and Arun was deeply enriching and educational. Even before I arrived, communication was clear and fluid: I was given all the necessary information, which quickly put me at ease. Despite my bus being late, they took the time to wait for me at the village bus stop, which immediately made me feel welcome and confident. On their permaculture farm and during the coffee harvest, I discovered a side of nature that I had never experienced before, one that was closer, more alive and in symbiosis. This immersion allowed me to discover a genuine way of life, guided by a philosophy that promotes well-being, simplicity and freedom. Their house, built with natural and local materials in a simple and functional way, made me realise that you don't need more to feel good and happy ! Workawayers are lucky to have a space dedicated to them, promoting autonomy while allowing everyone a great deal of freedom. This balance between sharing and independence makes the experience particularly enjoyable and respectful of everyone. Sonia and Arun are outstanding hosts: warm, open to discussion and deeply intelligent. We shared wonderful, rich and inspiring conversations, and the time spent with them was very meaningful on a human level. I leave this experience enriched, with lessons that will stay with me forever, and I sincerely hope to have the opportunity to return one day.

Wie wertvoll Mariannes Aufenthalt hier war, lässt sich kaum in Worte packen. Auf jeden Fall waren 2 Monate zu kurz und wir freuen uns schon jetzt auf ein Wiedersehen. Marianne ist eine Macherin- sie sieht sofort, was dran ist, packt an und arbeitet völlig zuverlässig. Es ist bemerkenswert, wie geschickt sie mit allen möglichen handwerklichen Aufgaben ist. Sie hat uns auch an ihrem wertvollen Wildkräuter-Wissen teilhaben lassen und so unsere Gerichte noch um einiges aufgewertet. In jedem Bereich- sei es in Haus und Garten, mit den Kindern, zum Thema Gesundheit oder im Glaubensleben- es war eine Erfahrung, die wir nicht missen wollen, denn Marianne ist weise. Herzliche Umarmungen und viel Lachen gehörten auch dazu. Wir sind sehr dankbar, dass sie da war, unsere Familie in der Zeit erweitert hat und so viel Anteil an unserem Leben hatte.

Cristel is a wonderful volunteer and kind hearted person. She was so patient and attentive with my 3 kids. They loved making homemade Italian food with her and learning some Italian language. She also was very helpful in keeping our common areas clean and doing things that weren’t asked of her but that she noticed needed help with. Her English is good and she’s always willing to learn more with a little help! I’ll Miss her!!!

Thank you so much Waka for giving us a chance to be with you. it was a great opportunity to host you here even though it a was a week, you did a lot of great things and shared a great support we cannot forget. Feel free to come back any time you wish.

The first word I can say that if you get a chance and host Naomi, your lucky co its a pleasure for a host to host this amazing beautiful creature.let me talk about her coz I feel excited to be lucky to host Naomi. Naomi he is Avery welcoming girl oh sorry a lady who listens and speaks with a great smile anyone would like to see with someone in this world. she is a person who can take the stress away from you when you have it. She stayed with us only one week which we felt wasn't enough for us but in that one week she left a big smile, memories and tears of joy in our hearts. sh was so helpful in our organization in everything and everyone felt her presence. She helped us a lot on our social media platforms through managing everything. she is the person who doesn't feel that what she did is enough for her every time when you need her she is always around. We miss you a lot Naomi and always you will be welcomed in our house wish everyone you left behind can write here to show you how they feel since your departure but let me have this opportunity for them and I say for them that THANK YOU So MUCH for your great impact you did for us and to share that Great time with us. WE LOVE YOU< MISS YOU and always get us some time to come back.

Our time in HaiPhong was surprising and very unique. We loved our time there and hope to have made a difference in the students we taught! This volunteer was different than what we expected, but it was an immersive experience deep into the daily life of Vietnamese society. You help and interact with kindergarten kids during the day. You teach them basic English through videos or games, or you simply play with them. It is time that they enjoy and after the first week they come at you screaming: 'Teachaaaaaa' And that is the best feeling. In the evening you help out at the English Academy where you help with the English classes for teenagers. After a couple of days you feel your added value and the students really are happy and motivated to learn from you as they also share their culture with you. The host family is really nice. Very attentive and gave us too much food! We thought we would try to lose some weight... but not in Vietnam. Haha Thank you Mrs Khuyen for your kindness to these two strangers and to the amazing Ms Hanh for the trust placed in us. It was a pleasure to share with you and your family! For the next volunteer, do be aware that the pictures did not reflect at all the experience or where we were. We were in the city centre - not in a camp/field. The air was polluted, traffic was constant, etc... As cities are. But don't worry, the host family has a massive garden with a waterfall that makes you forget all of that. :) And there was no science projects at all (which was sad). We only thought English the whole 5 weeks we were there... Also at times it can get boring. So we played Pickleball - the host family had rackets for us to us! You get two days off and you should plan to go places - for us it got quite claustrophobic to be in the city all the time. The host family and Hanh are more than happy to help you to plan places to go and rearrange your schedule to fit the travel time! Thank you for everything!

We spent almost two weeks here. During the first few days, we helped organize the Lantern Festival, which was such a special and unique experience to be part of. After that, there wasn’t always a lot of volunteer work to do, but Kelly made sure we never felt bored. On the quieter days, she organized different activities for the group to explore the surroundings of Chiang Mai and experience more of the local culture.

What a delightful couple Ash and Em were. It was like having family. When they arrived we gave them a list of what we would like to achieve and told them to make their own hours. They were conscientious, clean and fastidious with their work ethic and we were very comfortable leaving them with our beloved animals for 8 days. We would welcome them back whenever they can manage and we hope to stay in touch with them.

We arrived to volunteer and left with a family ❤️ Every day is different: between workshops, sharing moments, and volunteer hours organized in teams based on your passions (art, construction, social media, or personal projects), there’s always something inspiring to do. Everyone finds their own way to contribute and truly feel part of something special. Once a week, you help at the island’s dog shelter and another day at the local school. If you’re looking for a place to challenge yourself, meet amazing people, and feel at home even when you’re far from home, this is the right place ✨

AINHOA es una persona totalmente recomendable para participar de un voluntariado.. Estuvo en nuestra fundacion colaborando en todas las actividades y pasamos muy buenos momentos. Welcoming and very helpful family. Michelle and Brian offered me a new life experience. I stayed with them for a month and was amazed by their hospitality. Unfortunately, I can only travel with Workaway during the winter and wasn't able to follow their loving work with the bees. I took care of the green house and the geodome with great pleasure. They suggested several tourist destinations, and their availability was appreciated. I thank Sarah so much for her time, offering advice and frequent bus stops. My understanding of English isn't yet sufficient for conversation, but they were patient and everything went smoothly. Maria
