    Description

    Hello everyone!

I’m Francis, the founder, based in Kigungu, Entebbe, where I live with my wife and daughter. Our mission is simple but impactful: providing education for children whose families face financial challenges.
Currently, we have three main programs:

    1. Primary School Sponsorship: We connect older children with sponsors to cover their school fees, helping them continue their education.
    2. Nursery School: We recently started a nursery to offer early education for those unable to afford private kindergartens. Additionally, we provide activities for older children as they prepare to return to school.
    3. Women Empowerment Program: This initiative offers skills training and basic English lessons, helping women in the community grow personally and professionally.

We also host a community event every Saturday, where the children gather for games and fun on a village field.
With a small, committed team of three, we manage these programs while also balancing our day-to-day jobs.

We are a growing initiative, and we’re excited about everything that lies ahead.

    3. know how to manage digital platforms, how to create content, and how to maintain our online presence.
    4. have experience in fundraising strategies and donor engagement to secure financial resources for our children and our organisation.
    5. have a talent in organising events to find sponsors (individuals or companies) which are willing to support our children and our organisation.
    6. teach the women of Kigungu how to sew.

If you wish to bring items for the children during your visit, please refer to our wish list below:

    Accommodation

As a volunteer, you'll be staying in a room within my home. Depending on the number of volunteers, you may be sharing the room with another Workawayer.

Please note that our bathrooms are a bit different from what you might be used to. We have a SQUAT TOILET and a BUCKET SHOWER, but don’t worry—you’ll adjust to it after a few days.

While we’d love to offer free accommodation, we kindly ask for a contribution of $6 per day, which includes your stay as well as three meals each day.

    Can host digital nomads

I would like to host nomads because I myself I would like to find someone who can help me to market our social media platforms and I myself I would like to work from home through online. I need someone who is good at marketing and knows internet connections. I have a free space at school where you can work during your free time online and getting data for internet connections. It's easy to get a sim card, and you load the internet bundles on it.
