Hi! We are John and Jamie, a couple from the United States. We love traveling and meeting new people and are excited for new experiences all over the world! We are both friendly, hard-working, and eager to explore and try new things.

John: I studied and have worked in economics and finance, and I have volunteered at schools, food pantries, and community gardens. I'm also a teacher (math, finance, chess, and more), a player and coach (soccer/football, basketball, and more), a hiker, and a scuba diver. I like cooking, nature photography, playing games (sports, board games, card games, etc.), exploring new places, learning about different cultures, being creative, and meeting new people. I'm an analytical thinker, a problem solver, a good communicator, and a hard worker. I speak English natively and Spanish and Portuguese conversationally, and I am excited to participate in a language exchange.
Jamie: I studied public health and international relations. I am a big outdoorsy person who loves to be in touch with nature, travel, and explore new places while continuing my journey as a life long student. I enjoy yoga, cooking/ baking, hiking, biking, scuba diving, painting, and being active in all aspects of life. I am inquisitive about most things in life, but also love to live in the moment as much as I can, which at times come into tension with each other. I love to be occupied and live an exciting life, however, I am hoping to begin on a journey towards inner peace and stability. I am very interested in food justice and I hope to learn more about sustainable farming, permaculture, and being self sustaining. I am really interested in learning about various lifestyles and how to improve myself, the world and motivate those around me to pursue positive changes to better both the world and their health. I am not linguistically talented but hope to learn and practice Spanish so I can hold (somewhat interesting) conversations.
