Sometimes things go differently than planned, so I stayed at this host from the beginning of december till the middle of march (we planned only 5 weeks but I loved that I could stayed longer) and for my first experience with workaway I couldn't have wished for a better place to be. I felt home from the first day and it was hard for me to leave
… read more this beautiful place on earth after more than three month. We had a few weeks of very cold weather (up to -30°C) but mostly with a lot of sun. So its good if you love cold winter, a lot of snow and cozy evenings with good talks in the house. The work is mostly physical, sometimes hard but always a pleasure with the dogs and the team from Wyugas. A few weeks I was the only Workawayer, but most of the time we were 3 Workawayers. But nevertheless I never worked on my own, I always had the best company from Sabi who teached me many things. I had the oppertunity to do different kinds of work: animal care (feeding, cuddeling, cleaning, training, walking, learning about their behaviour...), a lot of dogsledding, working with tourists and prepare everything that they have a great time, a little housekeeping and preparing guesthouses, some DIY building projects, a little office stuff and a lot more. Every day I had the chance to do and learn something new and a lot of possibilities to spend my time. My recommandation is that you have to love nature and animals! In this case you'll enjoy every minute of your stay. We laughed a lot and had a very good time together. Thank you for giving me the feeling to be part of the family (and of course part of the pack :)). Working nearly the whole day with the dogs let my heart grow and gave me a lot of experience with this individual and lovely beings. The great time with all of you and the memories we made together will have a big place in my heart forever and I hope to come back another time. Thanks a lot for everything and we keep in touch :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

I've had the most incredible time ever on the huskyfarm with Domi, Beat, Sabi and Patrick! As this was my first experience with workaway I was a little bit nervous but I couldn't have wished for a more perfect place. After a few days I already felt at home. I had a really nice room with a good heater inside and also the rest of the house is really
… read more nice (a lot of plants which I really like). I also had the best dinners here and I always looked forward to a nice new meal from Domi.
All the dogs are in my heart forever. It was hard to leave without taking one with me ;) This was also my first experience with huskies and tourist tours, which was hard in the beginning. But if you are motivated and you keep positive like me it will all be fine. I'm actually suprised at how fast I learned everything. So after maybe a week it already felt like my home and my regular job haha.
I went into the sauna, the hottub (while it was snowing), made my own fire (hell yesh), took many snowmobile rides, of course went mushing for the first time, walked the dogs, hugged the dogs all day, went to a reindeer farm, even went out for dinner with Sabi and Patrick ones in the city which I really enjoyed and you can also go skiing in Idre. I wish I could have stayed longer and I definitely will come back in summer one day as I am really curious how it is in summer.
In short this is a place for new adventures, the most amazing people and lots of laughter. I had the best conversations with Patrick and got the best training from him in becoming a man (I halfly succeeded) and I had the most laughter (and a little bit complaining about the wind) with Sabi. I will never forget this amazing month, it was really a one in a lifetime experience which I will never ever forget. Lots of love to this family ❤You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.

It was our first workaway experience and we stay there about month. We really like and enjoy it. I think it’s the best one we could start with. They are a great and kind hosts. There are a lot of people, some old friends or relatives come to guest, or tourist, or somebody else. So every time you can find somebody new in the kitchen :) Or it was in
… read more that winter time, but it’s it cool for communication. It’s a big nice family. Every evening we had amazing dinner from Domi, and every time it was something new!
There are so much nice and clever dogs with different and unical character.
Our responsibilities included feeding dogs, cleaning dogs boxes, prepare
rigs and dress dogs, prepare sleds and check all ropes, and help to put dogs in the
start line. As new experience we tried dogs sledding, drive snowmobile and winter fishing.
It was great time for us, which we already miss, especially dogs :)You can only contact Workawayers who have an active membership.
