Description
We are a humble homestead of craftsmen nestled in rural Latvia on the banks of the Salaca River. We met on the road some many moons ago and after years of traveling here and there we decided that it was time to dig our roots down.
We have a big organic garden, Chickens, Mangalitsa pigs (look it up, yes furry pigs, its real) and two young horses. But usually there are others like geese or ducks, you never know what comes;) We spend the green season outside harvesting wild plants and berries, gardening, and outdoor creative projects.
We are craftsmen. Clare is a weaver, normally a carpet maker and Edgars is a potter and wood worker, focusing on music instruments and snowshoes. We are also crafters of all sorts including medicines, herbs, wine, moonshine, dairy products, vinegar, preserves, natural Building, etc! We place a large emphasis on wild food, so it may very well be a part of your everyday. Our main ,,bread maker,, is making and selling tools for handweaving (harvestlooms).
The land we dwell on is part of a National park. The river , the Salaca, is mystical and full of peace. There are red sandstone cliffs and even a little cave and all around is forest. Here the forest is full of plenty of riches like bilberries, raspberries, strawberries, lingon berries, and lots of mushrooms! Clare collects for our use over a 100 species)
we love to enjoy life and celebrate as much as we can. life has a 0% survival rate so start living today! we like to play music and go on adventures or simply make them at the home.Types of help and learning opportunities

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
You will learn a lot about plants and fungi, how to preserve them, use them, eat them;) It all depends what time of year. Other things you can always learn if you are a curious learner, like weaving or woodworking. Also gardening, animal husbandry and composting
Projects involving children
This project could involve children. For more information see our guidelines and tips here.
Help
^^^^We do not use the UN icons because we dont support them. They stand by elites and big agro big pharma etc not the small farmers and real sustainable people of the world. They are also supporters of one world government. corrupt organization for sure.
Well it all depends on what time of year and day by day.
There are the daily animal routines and things like helping with meals.
We live very close with our plant alleys so you can expect to be collecting some plants, berries, or mushrooms and helping with the preservation of them. Then there are always random projects, like a cob plaster on the sauna or moving compost or planting sugar beets or splitting firewood. It goes on and on:)Languages
