    About Us:
We're a couple, Paolo being a 'mixed salat' from Argentina/Spain/Germany, and Anne from the Netherlands, along with our cats and chicken. We're passionate about travel, ecology, ecological permaculture, various sports, hiking, beach life, cooking, BBQ (have to stay true to your roots ;) ), and art. Our journey led us to the beautiful island of Tenerife, where we decided to settle down and start our own eco-finca. Anne has had many wonderful Workaway experiences while backpacking in Asia and South America, and we want to offer travelers the same enriching experience we've had.

    Help and Accommodation:
We are looking for enthusiastic helpers who enjoy outdoor life and learning by doing. Most of the help is a mix of gardening, eco projects, and simple DIY tasks around our finca.

The activities vary depending on the season and may include things like helping with plant care, clearing weeds, planting, digging small water catchment holes, and assisting with simple, non-professional DIY projects around the garden and outdoor spaces. Some projects may involve working with wood or cement together at a very basic level.

No professional construction skills are required. What matters most to us is motivation, curiosity, and a willingness to help and learn.

All of this takes place on our rural finca in Icod de los Vinos, Tenerife, where it feels like spring almost all year round.

In exchange for around 3 hours of help per day, 5 days a week, with flexibility in scheduling, we offer a private glamping accommodation and access to a shared co working space. We usually look for stays of around one month or longer, with the possibility to extend if it feels like a good fit.
All this will be on a beautiful rural finca located in the charming town of Icod de los Vinos in Tenerife, where it feels like spring all year round.

Special Opportunity for European University Students:
If you're an enrolled student at a European university participating in the Erasmus+ program, we're open to discussing an internship program focused on either ecological permaculture or construction, based on your interests and study program. As part of this program, you may be eligible for compensation of around €600.

If our eco-finca and way of life resonate with you, we'd love to have you join us on this beautiful island and contribute to the growth of our project. To make sure you actually read this before applying, please include the word 'Amparito' in your message.

Feel free to reach out with any questions or expressions of interest. We look forward to welcoming you at our finca in Icod, Tenerife.

  • Help

    Help

We are looking for motivated helpers who enjoy working outdoors and are interested in learning new skills.

The help is a mix of gardening, eco projects, and simple DIY tasks around the finca. Activities may include clearing weeds, planting, digging small water catchment holes, helping with basic garden structures, and assisting with simple wood or cement related tasks as part of small scale projects around the property.

Any DIY or building related activities are basic, done together, and focused on learning and exchange rather than productivity. Enthusiasm, curiosity, and a willingness to help are more important than specific skills.

If this sounds like something you would enjoy, we would love to hear from you.

  • Accommodation

    Accommodation

We offer a private glamping with two comfortable single beds or a private room with ensuite bathroom (depending on availability), you’ll have access to our co-working area with beautiful views and great internet. Outside in the garden, you’ll also find a kitchen and bathroom. The kitchen may still be partly under construction, so cooking can also be done inside the house.

Temperatures in Icod de los Vinos typically stay between 13°C (55°F) and 29°C (84°F). The climate is usually very pleasant, but since it’s outdoor glamping, we just want to mention it can get a bit cool at night. Of course, we provide warm water bottles to keep you comfortable if the night is a bit colder.

  • What else ...

    What else ...

You'll have plenty of opportunities to explore the beauty of Tenerife. You can take leisurely strolls through the beautiful town of Icod de los Vinos, known for its historic architecture, charming streets, and, of course, the famous ancient Drago Tree. The nearby beaches provide a perfect setting for relaxing, swimming, and water sports.

Tenerife offers lots of hiking trails with stunning views, including the nearby Teide National Park, where you can hike around the majestic Mount Teide, Spain's highest peak. For those interested in culture and history, there are museums, churches, and local markets to discover. We're more than happy to take you on some hikes too :).

    Transportation:
Getting around Tenerife is convenient with the public transportation system of buses, and luckily we're at walking distance from the Icod de los Vinos main bus station. The public transport here can bring you to most places, it just requires some patience. We can help you navigate the local transport options and provide information on the best ways to reach your desired destinations. If you prefer more freedom, renting a car is also an option.
