Description
We are a LGBTQIA+ friendly hostel located in the heart of Ximending, the most vibrant and diverse areas in wonderful Taipei city. We care a lot about creating a safe, and of course - an open-minded environment where people from different places and background can feel comfortable and connected.
Our staffs are a comes from arts, music, nightlife and creative communities, so if you want to find something to do, they will always be there for you. And we also enjoy sharing local recommendations,food, activities and night life with people around the world.
Ximending is full of nightlife, cafés, bars, street food, shopping and very local culture, with public transportations near by
and many of Taipei’s most interesting neighborhoods. Whether you enjoy exploring the city, queer nightlife, local food or simply meeting new people, there’s always something happening in Ximen.
We appreciate people who are respectful, communicative and open-minded. If you have creative ideas, social activities or projects in your mind and you would like to share, don't be hesitate to contact us!.
P.S By the way, we got a lovely house cat - Black in our hostel, if you're cat lover, welcome to join us!!

Cultural exchange and learning opportunities
Our hostel is a friendly and social place, so you'll naturally meet travelers from all over the world. Sometimes people cook together, grab a drink after work, or simply chat in the common area before heading out to explore Taipei.
We're located in Ximending, one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Taipei. Restaurants, cafés, bars, markets and shopping are all within walking distance. We're also an LGBTQ+ friendly hostel, and everyone is welcome here regardless of their background or identity.
Our team has experience in hospitality, music and events, so conversations often go beyond travel. We enjoy sharing local recommendations, talking about music, culture and life in Taiwan, and hearing stories from different parts of the world. Also one of our staff is a cat, also the star of our hostel. If you're cat lover, this is the place!
If you're open-minded, responsible and enjoy being around people, you'll probably fit in well with our team. We hope you'll leave Taipei with some good memories, new friends and experiences you couldn't get from staying in a hotel. -

Help
We mainly welcome help with light hostel tasks such as : reception, housekeeping, organizing events and keep our hostel friendly but also a bit quirky.
We appreciate people who are responsible, communicative, and comfortable in a shared living environment. Basic English communication is preferred, and please let us know if you have any additional languages or creative skills too.
The atmosphere here is social, and very open-minded, so we hope to host people who likes meeting travellers from different places and backgrounds, but also know to to keep the atmosphere chic and fun!!
Depending on visa status and experience, longer-term opportunities may also be discussed privately. -

We’re always happy to practice languages and meet people from different cultural backgrounds. English is commonly used in the hostel, but we also enjoy sharing Mandarin, local expressions and everyday Taipei culture with travelers from around the world. -
Accommodation
We provide a clean, safe and comfortable shared hostel accommodation in the heart of Ximending, Taipei. Volunteers will stay in a shared dorm room with access to shared bathrooms, common areas, Wi-Fi, air conditioning and basic hostel facilities, also a small kitchen.
Our hostel is located in a lively and convenient area close to public transportation, cafés, restaurants, bars, shops and local stores.
We aim to create a respectful and welcoming shared living environment, so cleanliness, communication and consideration for others are very important to us.
There are many affordable local foods nearby, including Taiwanese street food (which you must try!), convenience stores and restaurants open late at night. -
What else ...
Our hostel is in Ximending, so it's easy to get around by MRT. You don't need a car to explore Taipei. Night markets, museums, cafés, bars and many of the city's most popular attractions are all easy to reach during your free time.
We share the space with guests from all over the world, so being respectful, communicative and considerate is important. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly hostel, and we want everyone to feel comfortable staying and working here.
Taipei is a very convenient city. Whether you're into food, coffee, nightlife, live music, art or just wandering around different neighborhoods, there's always something new to discover on your days off.
If you enjoy nightlife, you'll have plenty of options nearby. Ximending is a great starting point, and many of Taipei's queer bars, clubs and events are easy to reach by MRT. -

Our hostel has Wi-Fi, shared common areas, many cafés nearby that are suitable for remote work or studying. Ximending is also very convenient for transportation, food and everyday needs, making it an easy place to balance travel, work and social life. We understand that some guests may also be working remotely, so communication and scheduling are important to help balance hostel tasks and personal working time comfortably.
