Description
I am an adventurous and down to earth person that enjoys slower travel and getting more of a “feel” of cultures and places.
I am currently on a gap year (or two) before I start medical school in Australia. I have a previous dual degree in Biomedical Science and Journalism and Mass communication.
I have worked in service and as a head barista for almost 10 years and was a semi-professional football (soccer) player in Australia before I took a break to go travelling.
I have coached and tutored kids of various ages for many years.
In my spare time I enjoy rock-climbing, keeping fit at the gym, hiking, reading and writing, and hanging out with my dog.
I grew up on a small farm in small town Australia so I know what it is to work and live a bit more rurally and I’m not afraid of hard work or manual labour.

More details about your skills
Tutoring and coaching: I tutored students (aged 7-14) during high school and university, primarily in maths, science and literature. I have coached football (soccer) for the last 7-8 years at a variety of levels and ages, including a paid job at head of junior female development at the largest club in my state.
Service: Have worked in customer service and hospitality for the last 10 years. The last 6 years I’ve held roles as head barista and site manager at high volume large tourism organisations.
Hard working and physically fit: I am strong and am comfortable doing manual work due to years of football and rock-climbing. I also grew up on a small family run farm so I’m fairly used to farm life and very comfortable around animals
Fast learning and happy to learn new skills. While I might need to be shown something new, I pick up things quite quickly and I’m happy to work autonomously.
Communication: I have a degree (with very high distinctions) in communication and have won international awards for short stories.
Work ethic: I work hard at everything I do and it’s shown in my results- GPA of 6.6/7 and Deans awards of excellence from a top Australian university,
goalkeeper of the year ( of any gender or age), and appointed to Chair in Youth Parliament.

Mila is such a lovely lady who goes out of her way to make sure people are comfortable and settled. She remembers details about each workawayer (such that I played football) which was really endearing. She also held a dinner night just for all us talk and hang out.
The apartment is very homely and… read more
